Ok, so I guess Cryptic thought that Neverwinter had gotten too easy. So they Mega-Buff all the monsters in the end modules, then go 'Oh Hell it's too tough'. So they offer armor and stuff with tons of built in HP and it's still not enough. Dragon Runs are a joke, one single HAMSTER and 68K hp go bye bye. So what's a player to do, go beg around for a party so you can do dailies? I for one cannot afford to spend what it would take to buff all my artifact stuff to whatever the end color is now. So I really don't know how I am going to be able to play the game from now on. I am so disappointed in Cryptic that the bean counters now run the show and the devs seem to have no input anymore.

dont stand in the red ? as many ppl say and some have shown on videos it is possible to do daily quests with average/bad gear

hp buff was more for life steal change and to reduce difference between damage and hp, my 22k hp gwf could hit for at least 5x his own hp(not counting party buffs), now it should be only 2x(though i dont have the final hp and dmg stats)

they hadnt increased difficulty since launch, it was long overdue, hp and stuff is so the new gear is better than old ones without stats going in gazillions

Actually you will have 2 green artifacts... the mainhand at the end of spinward rise... and the offhand you get from Lord Neverember

Did you get the free OFF hand from Sgt Knox as well? you should have a minimum of two.

Have you searched the AH for blues for your class, I just did a quick search.. For about 20k you will get a whole set of blues, they will have pretty good stats.

I would also suggest to slot r5s, they are super cheap, get some radiants, darks.

I know its not easy, but you need to chip away at it. Every day gets you closer.

Also, start in sharander and dread ring, they are easier then WoD and IWD.

Work on stats.. all classes benefit to the following.

    Hit points #1 defensive stat
    Deflect #2
Defense #3 (as it appears mobs have arp)

    Offense
    Armor Penetration
    Power
    Recovery
    Critical

Regen and Lifesteal is nerfed to erf, add them when you see, dont go out of your way.

Hopefully you have your class artifact and your freebie one, gettting them to blue, will cost you about 50k AD each.

Join channel legit, if you need to run the artifact quest, its harder now, many of us will help you. Its not a guild though, so most members do grinding solo, but if you are stuck (like in a mini liar) ask for help, we will run it with you.

There is ways to do this without ALOT of ad.. and you can progress pretty quickly.

not really, i dont think its much harder than back at launch, and its not tough, you just simply cant faceroll anything that moves anymore, get a guild, read some guides, get some blues from 3mans, farm rank 6 or 7

i find 15% + life steal a must on gwf, at least for solo stuff, life steal is bad if you dont have enough of it and not enough hp, once you get past certain point its good

I dont know the players class. I would get whats on the armors/offhand/mainhand , we are talking about a starting player, not someone refining stats to get better stat curves or something. They just need some down and dirty starting point.

To be fair, I think they need to tweak things down for the open world campaign areas. The daily quests should at least all be doable solo by your average player. I'm fine with the difficulty of the bigger HE/Dragons being cranked up.

it can be done with green/3man dungeon gear, some 15% life steal and 60k hp should be fine for a gwf, for other classes it can be different, but below 15% life steal doesnt proc enough

You do know there are healers too doing these dragons? When I play mine I make sure to drop a nice circle both melees and ranged players can use. That's my buff zone and it's where i'm going to heal and keep everyone alive, provided they dodge tail hits and don't stand in red. So maybe you could care about what healing classes do and rely on them doing their job too. Healing being the easiest way to score a great success, smart clerics will do that.

I'll have to beg to differ. When a simple melee swipe from anything in VT (with no "red zone") can take over 60k HP off (and then a servitor's thrown knife finishes you off), something is way out of whack.

that's why you don't solo dungeons. You get a DC/OP for heals and buffs, a tank to reduce dmg recieved, and maybe u buy blues from AH for >20k for the set and try "dodging" off the red zone, pls its just shift+s or double click s and you are out of the red zone.
note that the DC or OP actually needs to heal not focus on DPS. servitor's knife dmgs around 8k and i have very low defense, and i never seen val give me 60k dmg so maybe you need to work on your gear?

that is why there is tanks, if buffs are lined up right tanks can do a decent job keeping mobs away

I'll actually have to beg to differ.
A full run through VT/eLoL isn't that bad. Mobs hit hard but with a competent group, it's a breeze. The problem is matchmaking. They decided to make actual party comps mandatory but didn't bother to fix matchmaking, which doesn't care whether your party has a healer/tank before making a group.

    T2's are a different story.
Broken mechanics, broken class designs, lack of actual content, and over zealous, bronze-age moderation?

    Go Cryptic!
    PS - I quit.

Well it wont work as an advice for DC, they gave us LS on artifact weapon

and try "dodging" off the red zone, pls its just shift+s or double click s and you are out of the red zone.

^That's because i think people are really used to the "pre mod6'' way of playing, they could stay in red because of LS and lower damages made by mobs.
There's a nice yellow stuff DC use which is called Astral Shield (and no its not the **** whatever that was supposedly lagging Tiamat). I see a lot of people in dungeons simply running away from it. "HEY GUYS its not from this that you have to run, its the RED CIRCLE! This yellow thingy will help you! I swear!"

Enough of the learn to dodge red bullcrap. Normal attacks from enemies hit too hard as well. Dodge em? What if you're a SW? You can slip 50 yards away and their swing will still connect.

My observation is that regular game play, dailies etc. will be very difficult for new players that don't have the benefit of boons or multiple artifacts. I have 11 chars and my favorite class is HR which was balanced some time ago, meaning they don't do the damage they did before. GS before mod 6 was 21.6k and he can't solo basically anything in Well of Dragons anymore and he has the level 70 weapon set. I can fix this by working on my char more, but the changes made in mod 6 are pretty pronounced. Dragon runs in Well of Dragons now require close to 20 players and this is very taxing on graphics cards and people are setting their graphics card to low so they don't freeze up in combat. My computer exceeds game recommendations on all my hardware and I can't do the Dragon Runs with the default settings which is high for my card.

Super easy advice to give but, many times when the graphic show my wasd keys don't seem to work. I can jump up and down, shoot spells or arrows, use potions and bring up any menu assigned to a key. The wife is even getting mad at me for pounding the keys trying to actually move in any direction other than up and down lol. It is like the script reads: disable wasd on player 10 seconds, show graphic 2 seconds, kill player, release wasd keys back to player

I hit level 60 three days ago and so far its boring as hell. I have a quest to talk to some dude named Hieronymous Glim but in order for me to do that I need the garden key. And from what I have found online It was an event item that comes along in June, and thats months away. I have ran around protector's enclave for over 30 mins not to mention the other maps not a thing was found. What the HELL am I supposed to do now, besides waste my time. My game isn't the PC version its XBox One and since I'm in a household where everyone wants to play on the things this….. IS BORING AS HELL!

No you don't. You just have a quest trail bug sending you to his less accessible clone. You can easily reach him by going to the Seven Suns Coster Market. He's on the same side as the Professions Vendor but a little further south. Just keep your eyes open.

To me, their new dev team had to put up a message for the entire playerbase. A sign of good faith definitely. But it also shows how bad the scenario is.

The mod 6 destroyed this perfectly fine game.

Sharandar / Dread Ring / Icewind Dale / Well of dragon.... this entire last 5 mods being wasted by 1 single stupid mod called Elemental Evil. That is the current condition. What , who , how and which moron suggested that let's make this game too ****ed up to be playable ? pray tell

whilst there were countless bugs beforehand why bother with new module?

Bravo perfect world. I always have faith in you to be a ******ed company from back in the days of perfect world. You money hungry people sure know how to waste good games :D kudos

The message put out by the devs admits errors were made, apologizes for them and asks for our patience and support.

    http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/news/detail/9213383-neverwinter%3A-looking-into-elemental-evil

Top of the list is game difficulty, but just about every issue is covered in his message as to problems they will try to address ASAP. That is about all you can expect at this juncture. You can be optimistic and have faith in them or cynical and think it's B.S. But they have obviously heard the feedback, apologized, and ask you give them a chance to make it better.
