They're not neeeearly tough enough! I think they may only be immune to 98.8% of control powers, and they only one-shot me...I really think they should be able to half-shot everybody (i.e. halfway through their windup and you're dead). Why waste time?

"halfway through their windup and your dead" is lag plain and simple.
Storm Giants have historically been the toughest giants in the D&D world. I have had not problem soloing them with no control powers on my SW, I have to anticipate and plan what I am gonna do.
If they can be solo'ed then actually they are not truly hard enough.

Definitely solo'd 1-3 at a time in my 60 gear lvl 62-70. Just required more active gameplay.
... touch upon the heart of the issue, however..."blue stuff you get from previous quests is enough". This is the crux of the matter, as Cryptic now apparently expects us all to just toss our purple gear and go back to wearing blues JUST to have enough hp to survive this atrocity of a module. No thank you, not doing it. It's ridiculous to require this. That isn't character advancement, it's starting over, and I am in the burgeoning ranks of those players who resent it. I realize this falls on deaf ears of our glorious benevolent overlords, but I feel better having said it.
I find myself agreeing with this.

Wow I can almost hear this in your voice, umsche, prefaced by "Hurrhurr *drool* I'ma witty! Hurrhurr!"
Despite your lack of cerebral activity, your verbal flailing did accidentally touch upon the heart of the issue, however..."blue stuff you get from previous quests is enough". Carry on.
Did you really think that you could just waltz into Drowned Shore and cause murder and mayhem wearing your lvl 60 epics? Gear is meant to be replaced when new lvls are introduced. Now granted I'm not a fan of how the devs went about it, making artifact gear obsolete after just 2-3 months of agonising refining BUT thinking that lvl 60 epics would cut it in the new mod is just plain folly.
Our pain is self chosen.

Your distaste of Spinward I can understand. On top of the difficulty the place is lag donut with lag filling.
I disagree about the armor. When the blues are better at keeping people alive and beating quests, are we really "going back"?

And where can I get some of this new Blue gear? So far in Drowned Shore the drops have been Green vendor trash and the quest rewards hardly better. Across three characters I have found ONE piece of Blue gear that was worth equipping and losing my T2 set bonus for. And it was a headpiece. Woot.

I know...the quest rewards in Mod 6 are pitiful to say the least. I didn't change out one single item from rewards. Just bought the Eternal set from ToD store and rolled with it. Only thing I kept from 61-70 is a bow which I will be using for transmute purposes.

Because I sweat, bled, cursed, spent excessively, and repeatedly died for it, that's why.
and you'd sweat, bleed, curse, spend ( i wont since i'm only ftp), and repeatedly die for the next ones. isn't that how all MMOs work? If you reach max then it won't be fun anymore. If they introduce new content and it's still as easy as the last one won't it be boring?

Caring about your stuff is a good thing, and ideally it should have been so that you could upgrade old artifacts to be on par with new ones. But for now, in this current crazy situation, why wear it?. Keep it yes. Wear it no, unfortunately.
Unless you have dragon fangs from WoD and can buy any Eternal gear pieces, I don't know. Some 16/16 vigilance quests give blues. I know that doesn't help you now but until then the Shores and Reclamation Rock are relatively forgiving.

So did the rest of us, we just don't complain about it the way you do, thats all. If you spent half the time you spend complaining on actually playing, you would have bis gear already...Mod 6 has a fine difficulty, my CW manages fine and I tried a new build for me which turned out to be a bad one, so if I find the content easy enough with a badly specced CW, then you should manage as well. And don't you dare tell me I need to l2p or that you play better the I do the way you like to tell everyone else, unless you did the stuff I did in my sig, you got no reason to talk. The fact of the matter is, many of us find it fine, if you don't, it is an issue on your end.
The giants are not that hard. Several classes can take on 2-3 at a time. Just when they do the really slow attacks, dont stand in its face. Face tanking in cloth and not using defensive abilities is not the way to go this mod. Just because you could spam abilities in any order last mod and be invincible doesnt mean that something is wrong this mod.
Epic items from level 60 is on level 70 lines of power, but without the benefit of the HP scaling. So you hit harder then anyone else in greens/blues but take damage more easily.

You know mages have a shield right?
Shield and blue stuff you get from previous quests is enough to have the survivability to bring them down.

Sopi SW Youtube channel pvp brickabrack
i main a hr and they kill me over and over. dont you think i know what active gameplay is? well i did mostly die to lag but still.
You do know active rant-posting, that's for sure.
kek, every time he dies he posts 3 rants on how impossible they while other players easily solo them
Plays the BS card on this person.
Looks to me that you don't since you get one shot by those giants.

This. Why cling to old stuff?

And now it's causing you to repeatedly die. It's either symmetry or you like being miserable.

The above is a L5R reference, and that comment immediately put it into my mind... lol
As much as I detest a lot of what mod 6 brought.... you gotta appreciate the whining CWs.
