my opinion on mod 6 so far

I am really enjoying Mod 6 so far. That being said I have only gotten to play for about 4 hours so far as I have had to work both days so far since release.

The new vigilince quests I have to ask why they were made this way? One of the best things about Neverwinter is the 1 to 60 leveling experience. I love the way quests are laid out and how it tells a story and how each zone lasts a good amount of time. It doesn't overstay its welcome, but it isn't too short either. With these new vigilince quests it feels like lightly guided mob grinding. I enjoy grinding so I am still having fun, but I prefer the old questing style over the new. Also, I do not like the fact that we are basically revisiting old areas because new things happened to them. I'd much rather the 4 new zones be entirely new zones, not redone old ones especially considering how big the Sword Coast really is, let alone all of Faerun.

The combat difficulty I love. Things are hard again and require some skill/ strategy. I am looking forward to being a healing cleric again in group content.

Minsc's voice is actually correct! I was really worried you'd try to hire some nobody to voice this legendary character, but no, you got the right guy (or if you didn't he sounds dead on, so I don't care).

All in all, I think you guys did a great job and I look forward to getting to end game soon.

I am NOT a fan of the vigilance quests. Basically it's pick up X and return to Y times a thousand-fold. Not original! It's what I really despise about other MMOs and here we are, in an unoriginal grind of the thing I enjoy the least!

My biggest problem is how the old 60 content became the new 70 content. What's the point in raising the level cap, if you're just going to recycle the old content?

I've gotten through maybe three-fourths of Reclamation Rock, and to me it's just awful. 48 quests per zone, some of them mind-numbingly tedious (e.g. kill 40 slaadi even though only 9 spawn at a time). Then there are the nasty surprises: go plant this flag...OOPS, sorry we forgot to tell you that it spawns an instant HE where you plant it, placing you at ground zero for a stomp-fest. Say goodbye to some more health stone charges.

Really? Really? This is supposed to be fun?

It isn't. I can't describe how much of a letdown this module is to me. It's just awful.

    P. S. The regeneration nerf is not only nonsensical, it's flat-out CRUEL. In fact, "cruel" isn't even adequate: I think an amalgamation of "cruel", "arbitrary", "malicious", and perhaps "callous" would be much more accurate. Allowing regeneration only when combat is over, i.e. when we don't need it, is a sick joke. If I did this to players I would be ashamed. In fact, add "shameful" to the list.

Someone must have paid the guy with the 1st opinion to say that... the game is ruined so far. All the effort you may have done until level 60 is worth nothing now.
The changes in life steal are simply terrible: how dps are supposed to survive now? Taking a potion with a long cooldown? Life steal is totally useless now, so if you inverted in life steal status, you must buy a Retrain Token mandatorily.
And what about all the recycled material?? Missions are awful, repetitive and tiring, and things are not very promising at level 70...
If the game is to remain this way, I'll leave it for sure in a little while, and after 1600 hours inverted, I think this is really sad.

They don't just recycle old content. They removed most AD sources. The new level cap is there to make your old gear obsolete and old companions and enchantments less powerful. It does not seem to have anything to do with new content, or lack of.

    Translation: It is nerf.

I have so many issues with M6, its just too many to list. Although I appreciate the developers time & effort in things... tbh guys.. this was a total waste of your time!

I have leveled my TR to 65 now.. to say its tedious is an understatement (345 healing pots later).

Ok, new Mod in my eyes, in a few words: nerf, zero knowledge of DnD, utterly bad coding. The entire Mod is a nightmare. This doesn't qualify for being a Mod. Everyone, who played DnD in real life or is a GM, like i am for over 20 years in a little club, knows, that this wouldn't stand a chance in the outside world. If i look at the different places, how can Helm's Hold now be called Reclamation Rock and so on? But if we take a look at the monsters, there is a huge mixture again.

For me game progression is meant to be linear not skewed like it has become mod 6. It will be interesting to see what if any of these changes make it to the xbox.

Been enjoying the mod very much despite one or two issues I have.i really like how the quests are given out and how now I have to pick ma battles carefully and not just charge into a mist of elite mobs, that said I could do with a reduction of some of the quest completion requirements like the kill 100 mobs etc

I couldn't agree more! I am loving all the new content, lore, artwork, voice overs, and difficulty.

There are two things that really urk me however. They are:

    - Current Gear Sets were not updated to give the necessary Hit Points for the increased difficulty.
    - Group Heroic Encounters are a part of the Solo Quest Line.

Just going through any of the campaign quests, or even the campaign adventure zones, is impossible now. I've pretty much wasted 3 hours on areas that I use to go through solo. Now, even though they temporarily bump me up to lvl 70 for balance (I'm still lvl 60 after all), I get killed the first time these level 70-72 monsters sneeze at me.

Now if you're new to the game and haven't built a main and 3 alts up to lvl 60 like I have, then one should have very few problems. But for me, having grinded in the game, had fun building some characters up to level 60, spent time, money, Zen, and AD's on really good equips for said lvl 60 characters, and now they're pretty much useless. I can't go through Sharandar anymore. I can't do the Dread Ring. I can't do the Tyranny of Dragons dungeons (I can still go into the regular adventure zone areas and fight the cultists and dragons there no problem), and don't even get me started on Well of Dragons.

It's like they're forcing you to give everything up and build your characters up to lvl 70, or force you to go through the Elemental Evil adventure zones and quests. I was in the middle of the other campaigns, now I have to give them up til I reach level 70 and spend more time and money for appropriate equipment.

Outside of playing with a new Paladin, and the main story adventure zones that haven't changed much, I'm not impressed with the major changes made. I'm not liking the fact that I have to give up on all my campaigns for both my main TR and my alts.

If you see the first three new zones as old maps, then you're not really looking. They're quite different. New lore entries all over, which I love reading. I also read all the quest dialog, which is content and lore. I'm sorry but I couldn't disagree with you more.

However, I digress as I won't get into arguments with folks who attack and tear apart others comments. It's one thing to have an opinion of one's own but to take apart and ridicule anothers opinions, is just rude and immature.

I like the skill tree changes and Life Steal seems to be still working, but I had just gotten to lvl 60 before module 6 came out.
With my lowly gear I don't mind the need to re-equip for the "new" endgame, but I've been there too, and I guess it is to be expected. Could have been handled better, I suppose.

If the "campaign" is like the bit I saw of Sharandar, then I don't like it already. Maybe hire a couple of Neverwinter Nights modders for the next one?

I'm with Zeb on this one. The lore is there and its good, I just wish the questing was the same way as it was level 1 through 60.

As for having to give up your old gear: have you ever been through an expansion release in any pay to play MMO such as World of Warcraft or Everquest where the level cap was raised? Its very common to replace your "raid gear" (for neverwinter just read this as epics) with greens come a couple levels in. This is just par for the course and I am glad for the gear reset with the level cap raise. It puts all players on equal footing and is the perfect time for new players to come in to the game. Every MMORPG needs this every few years or the disparity between old and new players gets way out of control.

Just because I don't agree with you you have no right to call me "rude and immature". However I understand that criticism can cause a headache for some fan boys :)

"New" zones. I'm sorry, but I've already been to those "new" zones while leveling 1-60. Only "new" thing there for me are mobs. Lore? I expected some storyline. While 95% of new quests we got are just daily/hourly quests "go & kill" or "go & gather". Which you have repeat and repeat for xp.

Just look at the hate mod6 caused. Majority of players simply don't like it.

PS. Have you already tried to farm half a million black ice in IWD73 for a new art set? Welcome :)

I agree with you partly here. Expansions makes old gear redundant. But two points:
    1. A lot of people experienced a lot of pain and angst in Tiamat (more than usual owing to poor design) to get that gear and it's now worthless. In some cases they spent a lot of money. They have a right to be upset - and to spend much less next time.
    2. When we do get back to max lvl with new gear we'll be doing ... exactly what we were already doing before? This is what really perplexes me.

I totally agree with you .I just want to be able to log in and do the same stuff I was doing b4 the nightmare they call mod 6 came out.
Somewhere I was told oh Tia is the level 70 content now ,this I do not understand how can some thing we have been doing now for so long we can no longer do? And why are we being forced to redo areas we have already done? And don,t say oh but there,s new stuff there new quests there. the problem is having to keep going back to old areas we already have gone thru. And oh all places why shar?
Also I have soloed since the beginning off the game ,it was 1 of the best things about it.Now I cant solo so what is there left for those of us that do or did solo? I have less then "no" interest in partying up with people i don't want to know.Worst thing in any game are PUGs. I solo because I want to build my own characters. I'm not here to help others to build theirs . I lost a really nice pair of arms being in a PUG ,HR arms i was on my hr,i hit need some wiz hit need and won the roll. I asked why he hit need when they were 4 my class, his answer was oh i need them for my hr. That was last time I ever was in a PUG. And I'll never be in 1 again thank you.

at least you have a chance to win loot rolls. i dont even run dungeons anymore because i never ever win loot rolls. literally i can count how many ive won on 1 hand. i was so happy the first time i won one. and after a long time of trying 5 months to be exact i gave up. good thing i enjoy skirmishes and pvp.
