Anyone that didn't expect some form of delay either with the launch or shortly after is naive. Let's be realistic, the peeps at NW are launching a massive change to every single thing in the game almost.
Best of luck guys and gals on both sides of the game. See you at LVL 70

mmhmm.. although the xbox peeps are def the bigger part of the 'wtf' crew.. they'll now know what maint really entails
Right before the server went down I asked how long everyone thought maintenance would be extended. Almost everyone said two and a half hours. So yeah definitely expected.
Previous experience tells us that things never go quite as planned, Murphy's Law tells us this... and its a constant with an upgrade of this magnitude. But yeah, don't shoot the messenger guys, Akro is doing what he needs to, and I'm glad we get updates on the situation, instead of sitting in the dark, pickin my nose, and reloading the game over and over.
No problems with encountering issues. The problem I see with the neverwinter rew is that contrary to belief they do not communicate that well at all. (see eve online to community communication best practice). They do a good job technically and produce some very good content which does promote their business model. Key problem however is one of setting expectaions with the player base. I wold recommend for future large expansion adding a couple hours on to the downtime. If you then delver earlier than that then hey great stuff and perceptually the community think you have done a gret job. You will also get a net effect of fewer initial logons for the first hour or so which should enable the team to manage the server loads a bit easier.
Just an observation and please tkae as constructive feedback. Great game and well done. Look forward to playing the new content when ready (already done about 20 hours on neverwinter preview and looks good)

ikr i used to be a real big rappelz player for over 5 years but got tired of trying of keeping up with the Jones when i don't spend any money and farm for hours on end for gold when the economy just turns to <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> and all the prices skyrocket for cubes and stuff to + gear
I really hope that PC users are not being put on hold in favour of xbox users
they're already playing on xbox.. so yep we is! ;p

Its one thing to program everything in a closed environment, but then putting it up into the servers is another thing with its own troubles that pop up and of course going live and putting everything into play and under load will see its own issues once its live.
Also I prepatched yesterday with 3504 mb and it patched again this morning for 7 gigs,if this is right that's a whole lot of code going live around the world with no telling what kind of results, give the guys a break,if you knew what really went on in creating workable code to integrate with present code without bugs, going onto servers then going live to pcs around the world you would pat them on the backs for all the headaches they deal with, I'm not good at explaining things but I think you might get what I mean here.
