This will be a f-ing travesty, sorry no other way to put it. In their never-ending scramble to promote the in-game store and keep people zerging for treats, they've decided to just utterly break the bank.
Nerfed Life Steal...sucks to be you if you relied upon that, better have a Cleric! I guess in solo you're SoL!! Artifacts now can be level 120...sucks to be you if you aren't kitted out with Artifacts!!...doesn't matter if you did the tedious, thankless grind for Black Ice gear, it's obsolete now!! Buy some Blood Rubies!! And better buy more Coalescents to crank those Enchantments up to rank 12 or be left in the dust!! Nerfed 'Stat Curve' means 'Oops we allowed you to become more powerful sooner than we'd planned, sorry but now you suck to accommodate "future growth"!!'. Boon adjustment--oh you THOUGHT that Boon healed you? Silly person, now that sucks, too...better get to level 70 to make it work as intended again!!
Oh, and if you liked your build, I hope you all took screenshots of it! "Free forced respec" is forced!!
This entire thing smacks of a desperate attempt to make up for past mistakes by carving a pound of flesh from the characters, and relying on the lemming mentality to rush headlong over the Cliff of Dangled Goodies to try and restore our stolen equilibrium. Why are we paying for your mistakes? I've never played a game so reliant on mechanic changes and nerfs to "fix" what the devs f-d up in the first place!! Here's a concept--stop introducing broken OP HAMSTER that you'll have to "balance" later AFTER we've all slaved to get it!!!!
calm down, You never know, You might end up actually liking the changes in the long run. Nothing in a MMO stays the same, they always change and "improve"

From what I understood you won't need Coal. Wards for upgrades of weapon enchants after rank10. Only refinement points and some marks maybe. (didn't test it personally).
Artifacts now can be level 120
If you are a PVE player, having Epic Quality Artifacts is quite fine, my main is cleric and I have my artifact at Epic quality and never kept leveling them. You can try using some macro's to farm more RP's with those Dragon Hoard Enchants, but I don't have the patience for it.
Orange/Light Blue Artifacts are for our generous whales, who keep this game running. It helps them to feel powerful and to fill their lack of self-esteem (something like that), we need them!
If you're a freep, don't waste money on RP's. Just invest in ZEN for the really needed things: Account-wide mount, 1 coal. ward.
Nerfed 'Stat Curve' means 'Oops we allowed you to become more powerful sooner than we'd planned, sorry but now you suck to accommodate "future growth"!!
Stat curve was horrible before, it allowed people to have EVERY stat capped. This new curve is intended to force people to choose the stat their class needs most and favor it.
The point is to avoid having CW with simulteneously 40% damage reduction, 8k+ power for example and 4k recovery (this is just an ILUSTRATIVE example..don't make it exact).

I can't speak of PWE or Cryptic directly and won't try speaking indirectly either..it will get the thread locked. Let's speak in general.
This is a Free to Play and PAY game. It lives from the money that comes from the Store.
If noone pays..the game dies.
There are many ways to get money from the Store, the fastest, yet the least durable is the power creep increase.
The other one is the customization of your armor, weapons and social interactions (appearances, dyes, special weapon skins).
In our case the "investment" goes to the first one.
They need to make money so the game keeps running, mostly it's the suitmen (not the Devs I believe) who choose the power creep, because it gives more money in least time...even if it does not last long.
isn't everything exactly like this? You try hard to reach something only to discover that something better has been created? MMO's ALWAYS change. If everyone reaches BiS, then the game is dead, everyone would be soloing dungeons, no one would buy from AH economy will stop except for some few new players/toons and the older players would stop because they'd get bored without new content.

You understand that they base their decisions primarily on in-game metrics, right? Yes, they do pay attention to forum feedback, but if their metrics show that people are still playing and doing the same stuff, they don't change it.
So if you keep doing everything you're complaining about, the metrics show no really reason to change it.
If you're serious about your feedback (and same goes for others), then you should actually quit. That's the sure fire way to get their attention.
OP, the time for the outrage was when all this was on preview for the past month, and even before. Way too late in the game now. The game will either be a better game in the end or you have a curb side seat to an epic disaster. Not much in between is going to happen because to be honest, they have to hit this out of the park for the game to survive. I want to see that happen. Odds of it happening? I think we can guess those. Grab some popcorn and a chill pill and enjoy the re-emergence of your favorite game or gasp in awe at its total failure. Entertaining either way.

Quit as in quit buying anything. The nice thing is we can still play the game for free regardless of anything else. If the product they serve us is something we find unworthy of investment than we don't pay. Simple as that for everyone. But ya, people should give mod 6 an honest chance and if your unhappy just don't buy anything.
Someone would really like for the game to die. Everything they did was for a good reason.
Nerfed Life Steal... Everyone that had dps was pretty much immortal unless they were one shot by mobs. It was way to easy. This also made dps tankier than the classes that were tanks because the tanks did not do as much damage. Unless your one of those people that likes to use an invincible cheat in a game all the way through, this was a good move.
Artifacts level 120... Even though it says 120 on preview it was 140. This is also another good thing. Since there is a higher cap items with higher rp value also drop. If you have a rank 50/100 now you should easily be able to get 99/140 now. This actually lessens the power difference between a BIS person and a non BIS. Instead of them having twice as much stats, they only have 50% more than you.
Black Ice gear being obsolete... So are the T1, T2, and pretty much every other bit of gear. Its a new mod, people need to get new items that are stronger. That has been one of the greatest complaints among players that mod after mod items were not released that were stronger than sets like the HV set.
Nerfed "Stat Curve"... People were already at the point everything except power was in the diminishing returns. Unless they wanted to keep gear exactly the same as before (serving no purpose of releasing new armor), they had to change this. If you wanted the same % per point that is ridiculous. Everyone would be running around 100% crit and 100% armor pen. There would be no reason for these stats. The new linear stat mechanic allows for a person to customize their build, instead of everyone having about the same percentages because of diminishing returns.
Free forced respec... There are so many changes that a respec needed to occur. Even if you like your current build, you can just put the points back there. They could not completely leave it because a new tier of feats were added. It is impossible to reach the capstone by skipping that tier unless you add 5 more somewhere else (which makes it impossible to have the 10 points in a different feat path).
Oh don't worry, jerkoff, I'll still be here. PO'd but here. I've invested far too much time, effort and money into this game to give up now. I just hope Cryptic can haul their proverbial heads out of their a***s and quit with the one-upsmanship at our expense. THAT was the reason for the post. A vain and foolish hope, I know, but I feel better for having pointed out the elephant in the room.
Short of the anger part, I have to agree, invested way too much into this game to just walk away. But I'm certainly not going into M6 with the same love for the game that I have had to this point either. Venting always helps, i almost made the same post several times throughout this whole M6 thing.
On another note, if you do quit.... can I have your stuff?? :P
On a lighter note, the upside of us being mortal this mod is teaming up with other mortals to take on foes. There will be more chances to rescue and be generally awesome to other people. It may be more interesting than racing for Paingiver or facerolling your daily stuff and being bored.

I am gonna bounce outta here with this, cause I can see me arguing and being all negative and no thanks lol. I generally agree with the OP but there really is nothing productive we can do at this point about it anyways. So, gg either way.
On another note, if you do quit.... can I have your stuff?? :P
No offense, but in case you leave I also would like to have a small part of your "treasure".
I'm a poor freep with rarely 5 bucks to put into this game

as far as life steal is concerned it would have been better in my opoinion to ajust the curve to where 5k life steal would heal for say .5%rather than a prock

it is not that hard to walk away even with soooooo many hours put into the game. after some time you lose all hope of it getting fixed.

I hate to see people throw around the word "invested". This is a game. It's suppose to be fun.
If it's not fun for you anymore, then you should start "investing" in a new game that actually makes you happy.
Every dime you've spent on Neverwinter is a sunk cost. It shouldn't factor into your decision to keep playing. It's better to consider what your relevant costs are when deciding to switch games...it might end up actually being cheaper to move on to something else.

Yes, lowering the percent would have been better. I think they are more worried that sometime in the near future players would once again be able to get enough dps/lifesteal to be immortal. It may be overboard with what they did, but it is better than doing nothing. They just need to find a balance where players can solo the solo content with ease, but never be able to gain the power to solo group content. Everyone having a reliable heal makes the second part possible.

It basicly mean all our life steal is worth less i got 2400 on preview but its no where close to enough if i had 10k life steal at a 1% thats alot of life steal we might never see that much ever

Fun is a huge investment. HUGE. I personally hate the term "disposable income". Income is never disposable. Ya, I invest in my fun. I pay x amount to see a movie of a franchise I like in the theater. If the latest movie in the franchise sucks, or they take it in a totally wrong direction for the rest of the series, I get mad and see it as a blown investment. I don't launch a protest, I just won't invest more money in a blown franchise.
Pretty sure many BIS players that invested their time and money for gear are not amused by m6 either. Tough ones will still smallow any move from devs anyway.
As for me I believe PvE needed tweaking, it was too easy and basically boring. We've got some fresh air in PvE and perhaps a challenge, at last.
