Crashing all the time

  I have this issue as well. I only ever crash when in combat. never happens at any other time and happens randomly.
  Tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it after the crashes would happen after 10-20 minuets in, but it's just doing it again.
  Tried setting different directx (9/11) but that hasn't helped either.

  Strangely, been getting a lot of game crashes as well, after last week's patch. No idea why. And happens often, if I alt+Tab out and back, or if my internet disconnects. Although other circumstances also have been leading to the crash. It does not directly crash to desktop, though; more of a game lock-down/freeze, and requires me to manually close the game due to its unresponsive state (Not-responding status).
  Anyone experience this or have any solutions? Considering re-installing

  Just returned myself - and the game is unplayable for me with the constant CTD's. Also a Radeon video card. Best of All - its the EXACT SAME ISSUE with STO!! I can't get through the Romulan newbie quests because of the constant CTD's. My L50 captain also CTD's every now and then as well. Happens when there is a lot of audio/combat and no amount of playing with settings and 're verifying files' fixes it. I've changed to DX9, lower all the video quality settings to the lowest or off ... nada, constant CTD's in combat or jsut standing there in the Blacklake District.
  
  But I can play Rift, WoW, TSW, LOTRO, SWOTR, Civ5, Bioshock, XCom etc for hours and hours and hours without a single problem. Load up a Cryptic/Perfect world game and BAM! Constant CTD's.
  
  Was looking forward to getting back into these games ...
