Linu's Favor mechanic is...stupid

Just came back to the game after a break in preparation for Elemental Evil, and started doing the Well of Dragons quests in earnest...specifically, trying to get the 6th and 7th Boons points. Accumulating the required Dragon Coins, Cult Secrets, AD's, gold, no problem. Can even just buy the Books at Auction if need be. But seriously, Cryptic, 30 and then another 50 Linu's Favor?!? Who are we kidding here?

I apparently got EXTREMELY lucky my first time into Tiamat's Temple, the pug I was with won, and I got my 1st Linu's Favor....now, multiple days worth of quests and multiple ventures back into the Temple later, I now have a total of....1.

Because every pug since that first has been a giant boatload of fail, and it doesn't matter how good you are..I regularly place 1st or 2nd in the standings...it has to be a group effort and success...

And 1500 Hoard points for one Linu's? Really? I invest a few hours each day when I can, and at a week+ of questing, still have not accumulated 1500. I am close to having completed the Reclaiming the Hoard twice, and still haven't been able to turn in Rewards for the Hoard (for the Linu's Favor) once. Be serious.

There's just no way short of unrealistically good luck in pugs or investing what may likely turn into literally entire seasons' worth (if not a year or more) of time to garner 80 Linu's Favor.

So we ask again, can we please have a repeatable daily for a guaranteed Linu's Favor? Then at least it just turns into a tedious grind (hey, sort of like Icewind Dale!) instead of a pipe dream.

    We shouldnt have to join channels to to do daily content but as it stands now and for mod 6 this is how it is

    If you have a good gs you can get invited to a channel and they will anounce zerg timers

    Ok there are channels that set timmers to enter tiamat say at 1 min before start this alows them to get close to 25 people of the same or near to same gs in at the same time
    i do not know if there is a 17k gs channel but i do know of a 19k and 20k channel
    also i am a 20k gs cw

    Once in these channels i have a 90% sucsuess rate in tiamat

    It's simple. Because you can't enter as a group. People have taken it upon themselves to get around that limitation by entering the instance at specific times. The hope being if people queue up at exactly the same moment they are more likely to end up in the same instance. This is the timer people are talking about. When the horn sounds a countdown clock is started. The goal is to enter when the clock counts down to the time everyone has agreed on. Those times are often kept private to limit others poping in uninvited. This is the reason why private channels to discuss this are valuable.

    It does suck that pugs have such a huge failure rate. Sometimes it's nice to just log in and go without having to try and synch up with a bunch of others in exclusive channels in order to put the odds in your favor
    I just don't bother with Tiamat for the most part. The thought of running the same dungeon over and over makes me ill.

    EVEN IF you don't have a "good gs" (which will be changed in name for mod 6) you can usually find a good run around the 1 minute mark.

    It's not impossible to get 80 Linus. Keep donating Coins, but keep a reserve of 100 until all boons/ items claimed.

    To maximize chances of rewards make sure your Eleminster weekly is ready to turn in on Mondays, and try to get to the first run after maintenance on Thursdays. Second run on Thursday usually isn't so bad either.

    "Zerg Timers" - The supposed time announced when to run in like a lemming squad of Leroy Jenkins (at majority 18k+ GS players) for a "more than likely assured win".

    My guess is that tiamat will need to be nerfed in the future as there won't be enough people with high enough dps to do it and get a win...or add an alternative to it. even grinding them all out it was a massive time expenditure to get all the linus for the boons. But it was something to do and finish.

    While I love Legit for most things do not use their timers. They change them maybe every couple of weeks for *reasons*. Hunt around and meet people. You can find timers that work and chanels that use them. Just takes time....

    I gave up on the 7th boon, not because of Linus but because of books.

    first of all i havent spent a dime on this game but i do know how to build a toon 20k gs now adays is easy i have 2 legendary articfacts 1 epic main hand is legandary off hand is epic artifact belt and neck are both epic best compainion i have is blue and im in all rank 7 enchants
    so im no where near done and im at 20k gs
