Since the PvP gear and other such rewards don't require any AD to buy.... I would love it if NW removed the AD reward from the Dailies.
Why? Because so many people join the various PvP events (GG PvP, Domination) just for the AD, and don't give a **** if we win or not. This isn't my opinion, it's a fact that many in /zone chat in these various instances proudly announce.
I don't mind losing. Hey, it's PvP, you win some, you lose some.. if our side tries their best, it's kool. But the people who just get their 600 pts then sit at the camp fire... those people really make PvP not fun for those who actually want to do the PvP.
I don't do the PvE Dailies simply because PvE is boring after the 100th time. The AI is static. The exact same sequence of events happen. The interaction with the same NPCs net the same behavior and same results.
PvP is different. Sure, the maps are limited. The objective is the same. But real players behind the toons react differently to you in a fight. The same class, played by a different person, won't have the exact same stats, the exact same gear, the exact same behavior in a fight.
Man, PvP needs players who enjoy it, and want to win, on either side. As of right now, those who are strictly PvE players who don't give a **** about PvP (which is funny, they don't give a **** about it, but join a PvP event... makes sense much?) ruin it. It's the equivalent of me joining a PvE instance, and hanging out at the fire every boss (or inside, whatever) not doing anything, and riding it out till I get my loot. How fair is that? It's not fun for the other 4 people.
If I had my NW wish. I'd have AD removed from PvP Dailies. Give more Glory or Grym instead. As I stated earlier.. you don't use AD to purchase any PvP gear anyway.
I wouldn't mind getting more PvP currency for the daily PvP quests instead of AD. But, it already takes way too long to find you a PvP match and this could increase the waiting times.
Have you seen how many GG players left because of rewards reduced by Tiamat and Dragon Heralds? If you don't, then you should see the pending nerf of GG PVE/dungeon and the 50% reduction in size of GG PVP.
Of course, there must be rewards for players to take part in any events. Players will just adjust to the rewards. If there is no AD for PVP, then we shall see a 30 minute Domination queue and 5 vs 5 or even 3 vs 3 GG PVP instead of the pending 10 vs 10.
i would rather have it if a player does not attack or get attacked in for more than 1 minute( if opposing players are on the map) that, that player get an automatic 0 points. this rule will work great in pve as well those afk players will simply receive no reward in tiamat and thus either force them to play or they will just waist their own time
There are more than BIS players in this game RIP Real Tiamat, RIP Real Demogorgon RIP real Temple of the spider. Why remove non bis content to give to bis players ???? FORCING the majority of your player base to play 4 mod old dungeons and trial will have a bad result on player base Changes are getting so bad i would rather prefer no new changes (RIP ICE FISHING in winter fest)
you are right. astral diamonds in pvp are not the best thing to give.
with the fix to pvp kicking i would like to see something like:
every mod/week the first x toons [leaderboard based] of every class get awarded with coal/gmop/RP
this would lead to equal prices for every class without favouring classes and leading to a more spread class pool
I bet 99% of the players won't make the top of the scoreboard every mod/week. Essentially you are telling everybody except a selected few who have maxed gear and come in premade groups to quit PvP since their sole reward for being there is to act as punch bags and see the selected few getting all the coal wards and other prizes.
Yes, that's fun! It doesn't bother me though. I am just a player, I won't lose my job.

Rhix has a daily quest for GG PvP that gives diamonds...
Well right now there is great incentive for PVE players to farm glory in PVP matches, because the mod 6 lvl 70 PVP set is the only one (as of right now, anyway) that is pre-farmable. So if you want to be ready on day 1 of mod 6 to farm the new epic dungeons, that is the only way to do it.
So of course all of these PVE players flooding your PVP matches is ruining your experience. If you want to change this, then tell the devs not to make the new PVP set pre-farmable, OR to make an equivalent PVE set pre-farmable instead.
Of course when I offer such a suggestion, I get jumped on by PVP players telling me that everything is fine, and that there is nothing stopping me from going into PVP matches myself and farming glory. So guess what, lots of PVE players are taking them up on their suggestion and ruining your matches. Quelle surprise.

I would rather wait longer and have a match where everyone plays, than have a short wait and end up not playing because people sit by the campfire with THIER 5-10k gs toon.

Isn't the problem with PvP the fact that participation is so low to begin with? I would guess PvPers would be happy to have PvEers throwing themselves into the meat grinder?
Isn't the problem with PvP the fact that participation is so low to begin with? I would guess PvPers would be happy to have PvEers throwing themselves into the meat grinder?
If it ends up with them not playing then what is the point for the pvper? None, just wasted time.
Lots of these ppl don't even try.
Would Pvers like if pvpers leeched in dungeons? Oh you do the boss, just here for my daily, don't mind me!
And here is another thought: Why not remove ALL incentive from PVP? No glory, no triumph seals, no PVP gear, no banners, no artifacts, no PVP campaign, nada. If you want to PVP then it's in your PVE-farmed gear. This would (a) remove the incentive for AFKing and/or botting, and (b) reinforce the CORRECT idea that this game is a PVE-focused game with PVP just tacked on as a sideshow.
Because the instant you start creating rewards for PVP, any rewards, you will have the situation that the OP describes: players coming in and not being serious about it, just farming it for rewards.
I've seen more than my fair share of PVPers quit the team because they couldn't stand to be on a team full of PVE "n00bs".
so if you don't want to be surrounded by PVE leeches in PVP matches, just leave and switch to an alt or something for 30 minutes.
It's not the noobs. They at least try, they are new and want to learn.
It's the selfish leeches just there for the daily. You know the ones that run it on every useless toon.
When the leeches show in my match I do quit, not much else you can do. But why do I have to quit when I am ther for PvP and they are there for AD? Makes no sense and the system would be better off not to incentivize these people to Queue.
without enticement to at least try PvP, you're gonna run out of fresh players really quick. As for the real players who do give it a try, it's up to the PvP community (and of course a little thing called matchmaking) to try and keep them PvPing.
Most probable that the lack of fresh player scenario will play out (even with incentives). I don't see the PvP system making a comeback at this point. My crystal ball is kind of dusty though
I would love it if NW removed the AD reward from the Dailies.
But then you would see only TRs. If you want sacrificail lambs, people coming to pvp despite knowing they wan never win, you have to give them some grass.
ToD = ..........
Tired of Dailies/Tyranny of Dailies/Timers of Doom/Tricked Or Duped/Tremendously Obnoxious Dailies/Try Otherwise, Devs
I see your point. And you're right. But everything can be abused if only you steep low enough. Sometimes you have to face some bad side-effect in order to gain something good. And without enticement to at least try PvP, you're gonna run out of fresh players really quick. As for the real players who do give it a try, it's up to the PvP community (and of course a little thing called matchmaking) to try and keep them PvPing.
The best thing that the devs can do to encourage more PVP is to restrict twinking in lowbie PVP matches.
How many players are turned off from PVP immediately by going into their first PVP match at lvl 10 and getting destroyed by some twinked out character with rank 10's and perfects?

I'm not saying don't give any rewards, as in my original post. I'm saying give only rewards related to PvP. I'm specifically stating the current rewards for the PvP dailies should remove the AD part.
I'm perfectly fine with PvP newbies that go in, trying to get more Glory or Grym to better their PvP gear. Everyone had to do this. PvP gear at this stage of the game is the only in game equipment you cannot buy with real world currency the moment you hit level cap. Everything else can be bought from the AH (with ingame or real world cash).
I understand Dailies in general are changing in mod6, but until it actually launches and everything is set in stone, it would be nice to remove the AD reward attached to them all. As of now, there are many veteran players who have a HAMSTER ton of alts that do the AD farmfest. Many of whom just willy nilly the various Dailies purely for AD. Currently, it's easier to get AD from the PvP dailies than from the Daily Dungeon ones, because a 10k has two barriers. 1) they can't join the high end T2 because of GS, 2) Even if they meet the GS, they have a hard time getting into groups to run it because of their low GS (PvE players are elitist too, don't kid yourselves). So they Que the Domination/GG PvP, and hang around for 10-15 minutes.. faster goal completion than doing the T2 instance Dailies. Faster AD acquisition.
Farming for PvP gear or PvE gear isn't the problem, you have to farm for both if you play naturally... you can just buy the PvE gear outright with AD in AH, or pay real cash for AD and AH it. PvP gear is the only in game gear that actually needs farming (BI Gear needs farming, and in a sense is also mostly used for PvP by many folks).
And since many strictly PvE players I have spoken to don't even enjoy the matches, just there for the AD (because even with higher GS, they don't actually build for PvP) they don't do well, or just don't have the play required to do well.
Another flaw in this game, is PvP rolled toons (rolled, built, and geared specifically for PvP) can do well in PvE, but the reverse isn't true. After my main character from way back when, and I figured this out, every single one of my next 10 toons were all rolled for PvP. Though I'm more the hardcore. I carry multiple sets of gear around with me (for PvE and PvP), this includes multiple artifacts, artifact gear, jewelry, and large range of enchantments, to optimize myself for whatever it is I'm going to be doing. But I do have a slanted bias.. my PvP setup GS is higher than my PvE setup, simply because currently the PvE content is ridiculously easy, where as in PvP I have to compete with 20-24k monsters.
I would rather wait longer and have a match where everyone plays, than have a short wait and end up not playing because people sit by the campfire with THIER 5-10k gs toon.
It won't matter if they are 5-10k gs or 25k gs. The problem is as longer as they are PUGs, they are going to be devoured by the premades. It makes no difference.
And here is another thought: Why not remove ALL incentive from PVP? No glory, no triumph seals, no PVP gear, no banners, no artifacts, no PVP campaign, nada. If you want to PVP then it's in your PVE-farmed gear. And that means GG is going to be almost totally removed too since players won't be getting anything from it at all. While PVE players complain about PVP players getting AD that can be used to buy PVE gear, they forget to complain about PVE players getting everything including glories and seals that are supposedly only be exclusive to PvP.
The current system is set up for PvP and PvE to co-exist. If one cease to exist, the other one will die too for the extremely simple reason. No rewards = death to the event and thus the game.
While PVE players complain about PVP players getting AD that can be used to buy PVE gear, they forget to complain about PVE players getting everything including glories and seals that are supposedly only be exclusive to PvP.
First I don't mind PVP players spending AD to buy PVE gear.
Second, the rewards from PVP are also valuable in PVE, such as the artifacts. That is why the AFKers/botterse are there in the first place. So if you want to get rid of the AFKers/botters, make the PVP rewards unusable in PVE *at all*. So no using Skull artifacts to refine other artifacts, and no using Banners in PVE, and no using PVP gear in PVE either.

You are also 100% wrong to separate artifacts into PVP ad PVE. Applying your faulty logic, artifact equipment that come from PVE solely should not be used in PVP too.
