And 150-200k from when I set out on my plan vs 75k (OK, was rather 50k then) for a slot isn't that much of a difference... ...though, admittedly the higher yield is.

And I could say Apple stock is a better investment because I bought it 15 years ago, but that's not going to help anyone looking to buy stocks today :)

But you didn't address my main point. If you're using heroes to complete tasks more often, doesn't that essentially offset the time it takes to check more characters less often? You're still logging in, updating tasks and switching toons, right? As well as having to make time in your day at some point to find a computer, sit down and log in. So practically speaking, I think one cancels out the other.

From an ROI perspective though, Heroes are a terrible investment past the first two, whether you have a few characters in your farm or lots.
And re. time value: ever calculated your income vs buying ZEN? As noted above, I get like 3-4 $ / € per hour there...

Doesn't matter. If you purchased Zen then transferred it to AD, your ROI by investing in Character Slots would still be substantially higher than if you invested in heroes. But if you're talking about not doing anything except just buying Zen, that's outside the scope of this discussion. Obviously the fastest and easiest way to earn AD in this game is to buy it directly ;)

My experience in investment: Earn solid AD with liquid AD, Lost solid AD with solid AD.
If you understand this you will be rich.

If I understand it, it's what I've been doing, and sort of a catchy way to surmise it.

Liquid is good, and I'm actually stockpiling as much Zen (instead of AD as recommended here) as I can afford, figuring that will give me the most freedom of how to spend assets when mod6 hits.

my possible first minutes in module 6 after 600 rewards from heralds.

9 artifact equipment bind on equip
99 minor resonance stone not bound account
239 lesser resonance stone not bound acount
40 resonance stone not bound account
22 greater resonance stone not bound account

... and I'm sure there are people out there who will have at least 10x this many, providing a ton of cheap RP and many characters who have artifact items to start mod6... get those Control-F fingers ready!

But I did - it's a marginal amount of extra time between launching nine or six tasks. The framework - switch to char, invoke, ZAX, change out - is more. So, I think I can maintain I addressed that.

And if you're into optimizing slot income - which I did once I decided that I had enough of these, 3x "small" tasks (taxes, spellplagued, undead,...) is better than 2x, too. So it's only three rounds à 8h instead of either 2 12h interval ones with lower income, or 4 cycles in either 6h rapport, or a 8-4-4-8 pattern. So i either buff the income, or reduce the time investment, depending on from which scheme you're looking. Either way it's advantageous...

Basically I get better yield per slot with less time spent clicking static targets, which means I can spend more time clicking mobile ones which, after clicking them often enough, and after having made the right click in advance, stop moving then, doing so with a satisfying grunt and sometimes dropping satisfying loot... :^[)

Well, especially if you really put up char after char, thaere might, even from an AD perspective, be room for a few more - as they do help your new mules get to LS 20 a lot faster. That's where I got the idea to buy those in the first place.

To conclude this dispute: I stand corrected re. "best investment" with a focus on AD investment - which I already admitted above. Adding slots is better, my fault in thinking there...

...admittedly, I also fell a preformed mindset trap there: Now that AD are there aplenty, I'll anyway buy a set of Heroes for my #20 (Pala ofc.), too. Will take long until break even, but there you go.

The trap? Well, that cost (1.8 megAD instead of one million I planned, but what the heck, so one char gets his/her R9 a day or two later...) is firmly set in my calculation, too. Already have the slot, though.

I might even buy two more slots for the next two classes...

What's BTW also on the pro side for the slots: You get fringe benefits that aren't all that bad: storage space, invoke chests with the chance for Coal Wards, and R5s, e.g...

Now that's a cool idea. I didn't even realize you could hang onto those for... how long have you been hanging on to those anyway??

If you're completing more tasks faster, then don't you have to check the game MORE often, and also click twice as much to collect the rewards from doing the task TWICE as fast? So either way, whether you're using Heroes to complete tasks faster, or more slots to do more tasks, but collect less often, you're still increasing the time spent managing your Leadership farm.

So how big a time difference is that? Depends on the player. I check my Leadership farm twice a day (via the Gateway), and it takes me about 12 minutes to run through 25 toons. Might take someone longer or faster depending on how good they are at clicking.

But still, the ROI between Heroes and more character slots is so astronomically different, you'd have to have an absolutely crazy high value on your time to even make the comparison.

Being the proud owner of 7 legendaries and more than 15 million AD in hand plus a bunch of Rank 9/Rank10 and Perfect enchantments, I can only suggest you one thing.

Character Slot -> Buy cheap Guards/Footman until you get to lvl 16~20 then upgrade them all to footman

Your AD allows you to buy approximately 8 character slots (when they are not on sale, and I believe it IS on sale now so you could get even more!)

In 2 weeks time, they can start doing 2~3 x Battle Undead + 2~3 x Collect Tax, if you do it once in the morning and once at night, that's 800+2400 x 2 twice a day = 6000 AD, x 10 characters = 60000 AD each day

Each week you get 400k AD plus 10+ Coffers which has about 4% chance to drop Coal ward that worths about 350~450K AD

Now you have more AD, you can buy more character slots... keep it rolling and you will be making millions and millions each week... :)
