Let's hope it doesn't get stuck at a message every minute again. >.<

    That does seem a bit odd. Over the last few days I've seen that message only once every hour or two. Maybe you are special.... ;p

    We'll be having our engineers do a full sweep of our admin broadcast tool. We apologize sincerely for this. The messages should have stopped by now.

    It's just a bug. It will get fixed.

    ...I am not entirely convinced that this is an accident, since this was also what it did for the Zen Sale recently, but as I said in my rant, I WILL watch and see what you folks do. Maybe it was an accident; the next sale will tell me whether this has changed. I'll hope it is; I'd like to pay for a game I enjoy, but I can't pay for a game that screams "CANDY, CANDY!" like a three-year-old in the check-out line.

    Also, I'm actually pleased to see any variety of 'official' response, with Akromatik's post. It's nice to know that something at least has 'real people' aware of the difficulty. Also, the messages may have stopped; I logged back in and so far...nothing. I'll hope for the best!

    So, my rant may have been a few moments too late; I'll certainly hope it was!

    What seems to happen is the announcements go into overdrive for the last bit of an event. Kind of like the acceleration before bringing the shard down for maintenance, where at first there are a couple of widely spaced messages and then there are many closer together.

    This is most certainly a bug and was not intentional. I've been told a fix is in the works and it should not happen again.

    The purpose of this is to inform players of events going on in-game, not to annoy or pester anyone.
