    Makes me wonder about the belt and neck pieces.....


    Then they expect people to dump RL$ into the new ones, or use up their entire saving of ADs for RP? The whole thing just sends a signal not to do it, because it mean's it's going to be for naught in the end. Mod 5 wasn't even too long ago, and those off-hands are already a massive waste of resources. They're artifacts for crying out loud, they're designed to be a long term investment that shouldn't become useless. What if they made a whole line of new plain artifacts and said sorry, but your sigils and lanterns are garbage now, have fun spending another 5,000,000 ADs.

    Just get the 70 version of the MC/VT sets and save yourself pain in the future.

    Wrong. You can feed your existing artifact weapon into the new one, so you're not starting from scratch. It's a 40% return so it's better than absolutely nothing.     Wrong. You can feed your existing artifact weapon into the new one, so you're not starting from scratch. It's a 40% return so it's better than absolutely nothing.     40% is better than nothing but it still makes no point to sink any more AD to refine a level 60 artifact gear now only to see a 60% haircut in 3 weeks.

    Regarding leadership, the text on RP reward bags say "bind on pickup" so I am not sure if they are unbound. Let's say if they are unbound I can see a lot of leadership bots will flood the RP market and reduce the price but it also nullify the "big" idea of making RP drop from Dragon Hoard and Fey Blessing bound.

    Well, look at it like this: If you got a 60 and it isn't legendary yet, then work on the 60. From what I've seen in this thread, statwise the 60 when scaled to 70 and the new 70 don't have that much difference between them, save the set bonus. And the scaling is rather borked at the moment so we really can't draw a straight, objective comparison between the two until that scaling is finalized.

    If your 60 is legendary when mod 6 comes out, then it might make more sense to put that into the new 70.

    As to the bags, the bags may be BoP but the refining stones contained therein are not. Saying this without the intent of discussing botting, it's a horribly inefficient method for such use. Even with purple assets it's, what, 16 hours per task? Enchants would generate far more in the same amount of time--hence one of the reasons their products were made BtA.

    Even if there is a 5% difference (and I see more here actually), it is a "big" difference since nobody wants to use inferior gear while keep pumping AD into it for the full price. There is not much a difference between T2 and T1, and Profound and Grimm, but you know what responses you get if you tell people they are not much a differences...

    You also get less rewards from level 1-20 leadership. That's already a sizable cut in AD earning up front before one can finally hits level 25 many many months later.

    Players play 2-3 hours a day.

    Both get the SAME amount of RP stones because you can only acquire them every 16 hours.

    WIN. Also, most bots wont make it to 25 leadership anyways, this really benefits PLAYERS

    Leadership bots only play a few minutes per day and are much much harder to detect.

    They should keep the original weapons BiS.

    Instead of simply add new ones that are better, just add new ones. Instead of buffing at-wills, they instead buff encounters in various ways and not just some boring flat 10% buff at legendary.

    I really doubt they will stay unbound personally. I mean there's just so much that they decided to bind.

    WoD dragons are going to be dropping resonance stone in mod 6 and those will be unbound.

    I don't think the amount of RP you get from feeding in a legendary weapon is fair at all, but it looks like RP will be easier and cheaper to get in mod 6 which I'm at least happy for.

    But I want to know where/how you get the new lvl 70 main hand. Is that from ToD? I'd like to know before I spend time doing the campaign on characters that I'd like to catch up.

    Don't know if this has been said already, but if this going to be released, this will flat out kill the game.

    It's a better option to force all current artifact gear to level 70 and inhibit their use until the character is that level than force people to re-grind out artifact gear AGAIN.

    This is a ludicrous change that will only further damage the playerbase.

    On live it costs just over 4.6 million RP to get a piece of artifact gear to legendary , if you then use that item for RP you get about 930k RP back , I have no idea if these figures are any different on preview though.

    That's very true, however, keep in mind that we've only had 2 legit Double RP's so far. 1 was in September, 1 was in November right before Thanksgiving. We only had 1 during the Christmas weekend due to the charity event reaching the goals.

    Since then, they've not discussed any other form of double RP occurring.

    But, look, we already have enchantments going from rank 10-12, perfects going to transcendents, and artifacts going from 100-140 (so much for having it go to 120). And, now, they're saying that we need new offhands with the possibility of new mainhands, new neck, and new belt because of this.

    Refining in this game is not fun. We did that after being told that the gear we obtained would remain relevant for a good while. 2 months is not a good while. It'd be one thing if these came already epic/legendary as drops from hard dungeon/raid encounters, but to have to spend all that time refining again?

    Do they really think that many players wouldn't have a problem with that? And have they even considered the competition of other games that are also going free to play with less cumbersome gearing systems?

    Do they simply want to kill their own game?

    On live it costs just over 4.6 million RP to get a piece of artifact gear to legendary , if you then use that item for RP you get about 930k RP back , I have no idea if these figures are any different on preview though.

    Well so it's basically one piece of arti gear and two stacks of Lesser Resonance stone to get a new piece to Legendary during 2x XP.

    That's not too horrible in my book.

    indeed, except for the fact that you need to work for another artifact gear it may get cheaper to bring it to orange rather than just increase the actual level to 80.
    however 1) its boring. 2) no more tiamat for me 3) its all based on the 2x weekend

    Very true. However, double RP events will pop up regularly. They stated the event is a fixed and intended asset in the refinement system, because it assures that people come back and login.

    I think making the new Off-Hand available in WoD is <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>, yes. Tokens should drop form the new dungeons, because we have already seen enough of the dragon ***** by now.

    The problem is that they want to keep Tiamat an endgame asset and if only rank 60 stuff drops there, why would you still run it?

    How incredibly backward this logic is. People wouldn't leave in the first place if there wasn't a system as cumbersome as the current refinement system.

    Honestly, we already have enough refining to do with the increased level on enchantments and artifacts. Throwing out new artifact equipment will just compound already gargantuan refining requirements.

    And if anybody says, "you don't need artifact equipment to do x, etc.", don't repeat a flawed and old trope. Many people have already paid money to get old artifact equipment to legendary, and if they release this, they set a precedent that any effort put into artifact equipment this game is destroyed in months, which only disincentivizes any further spending. If you repeat that old trope again, you show players that the only way to get lasting effective fun, is to play completely free, and once again, how does Cryptic make any money if that's the case?

    Refining all over again, spending hours doing repetitive clicking getting barely any levels is not fun, especially when the player can simply jump into another game that doesn't cost nearly as much as this one and simply get right into the fun.

    Some math for you:
    A legendary artifact weapon give you roughly 900k rp.
    Fed into the same type - 1.8M rp.
    On a double rp weekend - 3.6M rp.
    Fed onto a fresh arti weapon it gives you almost lvl 57.

    Now do you think it will cost you more to go from 57 to 60 or from 60 to 80(/100/120/whatever)? Not to mention the new arti weapon at lvl57 will be better than your current legendary.

    the point is just being forced to re-do old content for something a get shiny new in that same content one month ago.
    and being forced again to the rng <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> of the class features, of the additional stats and guess what? there is an elemental mainhand too... rng

    2. now it cost 5 gmark of potency for each upgrade.
    3.your a new players and have no legendary
    4.you have weapon/armor and normal ench to upgrade also

    Try to think before you jump in and try to be good and mighty, refining system is out of control I have stopped counting the numbers of players that left to other games because of it and defending the conitunual use of it to make you look good is just stupid...

    I grinded Tiamat and Well Of Dragons (WOD) for the last two months. If the new Off-Hand requires Linus from WOD, then I wont be getting one. I'm staying out of WOD for my sanity. For now, I log in once a day to do professions, pray and refine. Takes 60 seconds.

    4. No I dont. I'll keep my normal vorpal, lesser soulforged, and r7s. Maybe when I'll have AD flowing out of my nose, I'll upgrade those.

    The new artifacts gear with its stats is a win-win situation. Yes you'll have to refine to get the new BiS. Or you can wait for a double rp weekend. Or you can just feed the weapon you have and end up with better but not BiS gear.

    Go to test server and check out as its same for enc from lvl 10-11-12 each combine is 5GMoP but dont need 1 of same.
    3. I have epic artis. Its the same route for me, just different numbers. Legendary was never worth it.
    Dont make it less for new players does it and dont help others from leaving becuase they are tired of this rp system.

    New items that require tons of rp to lvl up is not a win win situation never has and never will be for the players only for those driving boots and cryptic in the short term as I think it will be one of those things that can drive this game to the ground unless changed....

    1) During this period of sooner or later, people leave, some of them permanently, all of which negatively impacts the game's reputation and results in negative publicity and reviews everywhere.

    2) Rank 10->11 needs 5 GMops. Rank 11->12 needs 5 Gmops. Perfect to Pure needs 5 GMoPs. Pure to Transcendent needs 5 GMoPs. Level 139-140 needs 5 GMoPs. In addition for 1.6 million RP per rank 10-12 and Pure-Transcendent. Also for 6.6 Million RP per artifact from 100-140 (A whopping 10.2 Million from level 1-140 for anybody new, or picking up a new artifact.) There's slots for 4 artifacts at 70.

    3) He was referring to new players. New Players have no chance as they come in lacking the enchants. In addition, legendary is pretty much required to have an even keel in PvP.

    4)Yeah, ok, but then again you probably don't PvP often.

    No, the new artifact gear with upgraded stats is a lose-lose. Cryptic loses paying people and garnishes bad reviews and therefore loses both new prospective players and much more money (why spend any money EVER when you know it's going to be worthless now?). Players lose many $ in lost progress feeding 1 artifact weapon into another and even much more time given the new refinement requirements. Eventually, players fed up with this will leave, causing a much lower server population which causes much more player unhappyness (long queue times for anything). Why play an MMO game when there's hardly any multiplayer present?

    This is a terrible decision from all around. Remember, a successful game caters to the players, and this game is hardly doing so with these changes.
