Dragonforged Artifact Weapons

Well I have the components to get a Dragonforged Chest. My question is: How epic do the Scourge Warlock blades get? I cannot find anything in Wiki that spells out what powers it will have. Hate to waste the components and find it isn't worth it.

    Well, at Legendary they are pretty great.
    I've got the Tank(ish) one with heavy Lifesteal and it packs a serious wallop.
    Just my opinion, though, you may want to hold off until Mod 6 drops just in case they alter the At-Wills to the point where you would want a totally different Artifact.

    There are 5 different kinds of artifact weapons for each class in that chest. You get a random dice roll every time when you open one. You can't control what you get.

    They also don't come in "epic" quality unfortunately. They all start out "common". You need to feed yours RP items such as peridots to improve its quality. At their starting common quality they are worse than most level 60 weapons you can think of but at epic and legendary quality (assuming you can afford to buy the RP) they are better than every weapon else. Plus, you get a set bonus if you also have the artifact off-hand equipped.

    You can go to Feldon Strongbeard in the Well of Dragon to check out all the 5 possible artifact weapons of your class at their fully maxed legendary states. If you want a specific one of the 5 artifact weapons but don't like the random factor, you can also buy the one of your choice for 6 shards of Dragonforge Steel from this dwarf.

    Don't know why Healary suggested that you go visit the vendor to see the ranks for the artifact equipment, because the vendor will only show you the lowest rank studd which is all he'll sell you. If you really want to check out the stats for each of the different Artifact weapons for your class and see that there stats will be at green, blue, purple and orange check out you collections page, under artifact equipment

    in the collections tab (ctrl+j) select the artifact equipment page. the main hand weapons should be the first 5 or so items there. I've never heard of someone only having the green versions of the items on that page, so perhaps you're looking in the wrong spot?

    any of the artifact weapons for any class at blue will be as good as the pre artifact BiS (crafted mal and val weapons or castle never) at purple they are better if that answers your question

    So, are they the endgame ancient mulhorand weapons? They will scale past 61 right?

    A level 70 green set of them will be equal to blues or low end level 70 epic weapons?

    You get 1 when you open a "dragon artifact box" (the random box in the campaign); it gives you 1. Then you can salvage the arti weapon you didnt want for another. So 1 wrong box potentially gets you 2 dragonforged steel. Though you may want to wait to salvage. Cause you might get the one you want on the 2nd try of the dragon arti box. So you can use the first wrong one as refinement or just hold.

    Thank you for the response. Its good to know that they changed it from 100% random to "random with a promise you'll eventually get what you want."

    acquire more materials to buy more random dragonforged artifact boxes. these are random chances, so you may get what you want, but if not, use the shard (need 6 of them) from those to buy the exactly one you want from the dwarf in PE (over by the reward claim vendor and Harper boward) random box.

    currently, the AH has all the materials at around 150K AD, so you can buy the components and craft the box for ~150k AD (+time to craft)

    You're forgetting the 25k for the task itself. So...more like around 175k.

    you're right, forgot about that. I actually am not even there yet (have 10 days of "helping tasks" just waiting. have artifact belt and neck, but am waiting patiently for the ability to even try this out.
