Epic dungeon runs almost impossible to get players

I want to run the epic dungeons for dailies but it seems the queue times are extremely long. Before I hit lvl 60 people could form up a pug run in local chat where the dungeon was located. All the epics are queue based. Do people ever run these dungeons anymore? How can I find people to run ones like Malabog or Dread Vault? What I'm I missing?

Interest has waned in favor of the Draconic Heralds and Rise of Tiamat in Well of Dragons. Tiamat drops the exact same gear as the Epic Dungeons (save the specific gears for Sharandar or Dread Ring.) Lower interest means fewer players queue for specific dungeons, which means matchmaking takes longer to find appropriate players in the same queue.

Well I guess it's my OCD kicking in but I want to finish the areas and need MC, DV and VT but I have waited almost an hour before leaving the queue for these. Are they worth running? Any ideas about the best time to run them?

Don't use the queue. Almost no one uses the queue to form parties. Use lfg in PE or channels such as legit. You will almost never get a party thru the queue system.

vt and mc are often requested in /lfg while in protector's enclave. you'll have luck there for sure.

Thanks for the info. BTW, is there a thread here that has some common channels people are in or do I have to be invited for those?

don't use que for dungeons, success chance is low, chance to get kicked is high once final boss is dead, and chance to see someone roll need on epic gear is also high. Also it will only match if a GF + DC + 3 dps is que'd alot of times you sit outside boss rooms waiting for dc / gf to que up to go forward and most just see party and leave if its not a "18k group waiting". Just a bad experience, should join a guild and ask about going or in PE's LFG or I beleive there is another channel with alot lower requirements to dungeon forget the name.

Not much modivation atm to do dungeons but for gear to salvage.

Ugh don't tell me this.. I'm just about to hit 60 and nothing that turns me off quicker and forces me to other games thansitting around waiting and waiting and waiting to run content. It's even worse in this game because you can't join local groups while in queue (*cough* *cough* dragons, etc...) because you lose your spot.

What's even worse, you can't queue for multiple instances and remain in the other queues while one queue pops.. ie: It would be nice if you could queue for a dungeon and skirmish - when the skirmish pops it pauses your dungeon queue until your done with the skirmish instead of removing you completely and forcing you to requeue at the end... Most skirmish queues pop pretty quick since the daily requires you to do 3 of them.

That is how blizzard does it now and it's a really great feature. For those that can't play 60 hours a week you spend more time doing the stuff you wanna do as opposed to sitting in town waiting for your queue to pop trying to socialize in zone chat amidst the most ridiculous gold spam I've seen in any game since Meridian 59.

it goes pretty quickly if you join a big guild, to get into dungeons. Most guilds have people available to help - more so if dungeon delves event is coming up / is up.

What is the advantage of joining a local group to do dragons? I never have, what have I missed?

People join a party so they can jump to an instance with a low timer, even if it's full.

Also, some buffs only work on party members, and the dragons in the levelling zones can actually be quite challenging now that they've been abandoned by all the highly geared 60s. But I wouldn't say that's the primary reason people want to party up. People who use it just to hop instances usually drop group once they get moved over.
