I remember when the higher end content was challenging (Castle Never for instance) - but the power creep for players VS the environment is getting a little out of hand- no?
Is cryptic going to do anything so that we're not completely blowing away content without any problem? I don't even need a cleric or a tank anymore in the groups I'm in lately, it's all pretty one big giant plow me over machine.
I don't think anything in Module 6 will be that challenging.
What have you tested on the preview server so far that has lead to you having this opinion? without Regeneration and with the change to LS I imagine module 6 will come as a rude awakening for quite a lot of players.
what??? with 15.9k GS as Gaurdian Fighter, it is still hard in Castle Never, and doesnt like Dread vault.
i have better luck with guildmates than doing random PUGS which is almost instant fails.
those with +18k GS or better are easy to them.
i dont want to see any changes or nerfing.
what you want for "Extreme" challanges, you would need scaling, or special epic zones for Hardcore, and rewards are just the same as standard epic zone, you may get more bonus random drops and extra XPs equation, but i really hate to see "elite gears" only for hardcore format because it could be too hard or able to meet those requirements, it wouldnt be fair for causal players and the gap get bigger between have's and have-not's player base.
most of my enchantments are rank 6/rank 7, it will take me awhile to reach rank 8's due to needing those blue Mark of Potency, and need 3-4 dozens of them for upgrading, and tons of wards.

We used to do Castle Never at 10K with no artifacts, clicky buffs, active companion bonuses....etc. Now that players can get to 24K, it's obviously going to be easier to do old content.

I don't think anything in Module 6 will be that challenging.
The very fundamentals of most of our stats and abilities are changing, which is especially noticed with lifesteal and regeneration. Perhaps you should go and test the state of Module 6 on Preview. In short, a lot is changing, and I personally feel it is for the best and on that same note, you'll probably also find that your words in your original post will be mostly moot then.
