Hi guy's , A.A here.

Yes or No for : Instant/close to instant Casting skills for :SW

I say yes.

2 to 4 seconds casting Skills/Daily , In a game that ALL classes have 0 to 1 second casting 99% of time Skills , not cool.

Wont talk about CW that recives a 50% extra casting speed when they already have very fast to instant casting skill's.

Hug's , Im off now ,i have a date with Logic.

May the Bacon Bless.

    Works for me.
    I hate that *#$^@ delay.
    Just so annoying.

If you change the SW's casting time, you'll have to change all the classes to instant as well. I do agree that the SW's need some reductions in their cast time though.
    I aim to misbehave

SWs do have the longest cast times in the game. Those cast times need to be reduced.

Heck, they made some TR attacks much quicker with Mod 5, while the poor SW lags way behind others . . .

    Good point.
Maybe rather than "Instant" across the board, "On Par" with the other Caster Classes would be better.
I had assumed that to be the OP's point when I voted.

Make them twice faster (50% shorter), it'll be enough

Sure. Just reduce the damage done to compensate for the faster cast time. Just like they did with CW's...

A lot of the heavier hitting powers come with a big windup, regardless of class. TR Disheartening Strike and Lashing Blade. GWF Indomitable Battle Strike. DC Daunting Light. HR Aimed Shot.

This. Make them fast enough to actually catch a TR in the 2 sec stealth reveal window, but long enough that other classes can actually catch shoot and scoot SW's still.
Instant cast times would just be too much.

Thats hte only issue i see with our cast times, **** near impossible to hit a TR.. and since the cast animation times are so long, its amazingly easy for people to dodge roll out of it, i see it as a glitch, that someone can dodge my ability after I seemed to have hit them with it lol (server to client lag time i assume)

Il be happy to keep eveyrthing where it is right now, Big Risk, for Big Rewards

No, SW dont need instant cast, and to some degree, they dont need 50% reduction in casting time either. Theyre just fine, really. What the SW need is a proper shift mechanic, a dodge or teleport, to stay a lil more competitive with other classes. Even so, giving the SW a means to easily avoid damage, with the amount of damage it can deliver, more changes would be needed (in other words, nerfs, HUGE ones), something noone who plays a SW want. So, as @beckylunatic said, "Be careful what you wish for..."

First of all, no, it's damage is fine. The other caster class has greater damage output and potential for debuffing you into an abyss. You realize it once you put TT away and run through with equally geared and knowledgeable people. Second, instant cast time would be just too much, but I do agree we need 50% cast reduction time at least from PvP standpoint.
