The reason for this is, the developers never listen, has the poorest pvp imbalance and underestimate player's ego. For a fact, I left for 3 months and I came back to see about 40+ of my friends all 20k+ GS and used to pvp frequently all left. Cheating is rampant, pve has poor graphics rendering, lag and boring. New MMO are coming out and older popular games are still holding their population.

Next year, this game will be non-existent. When I queue for PvP the wait time is 8 times longer than what it used to be 3 months ago. It's going to be another Star Trek. Guess what a lot of reviews are saying about that one?

intimidation will be changed to weapon damage.
this thread is useless as hard as you can see it.
so what if you have 25k power?
every class can get up to 20k or even more.
but that doesnt mean you will deal any damage with a build like that.
either way like someone said i will repost
    400 points = 1 %
    100 armor pen = 1 %

    so have fun.

I did some test run on PTR server, at the current state it doesn't look like its gonna keep me interested for too much longer. I suspect the class imbalance (We all know WHICH class :)) and the new enchantment+stat curve changes is gonna be the killer if its not carefully revised and adjusted again upon release.

Talking about that I was playing Diablo2 just a few nights ago, its still good as gold! :>

you can stack that POWER , but you can stack other stat as well, DEVS said that everybody will have a better freedom when is about chosing what stat should they go with it.

Yea, thats 'DEVs said'... at heart we all know they take away like 10000 point of yours, give you 5000 back and say 'hey, here you can put points where you wanted", while they can simply just adjust the 'sweet spot' to higher.... :\

here is how it will work when mod 6 will go live
all your PURPLE SETS cannot be weared by a lvl 60, so you will have to be lvl 70 to wear them.
another thing is that a person that starts from lvl 1 to 60 he will probably wear blue gear and if he has the purple lvl weapons that scale with ur lvl, at lvl 60 you will probably start sharandar/dread ring, and you get some purple items from there, they are working the campaign too, maybe makin it shorter, and lvl 70 he will have unlocked wellofdragons/caerkong etc, along with acces to t1,t2,t3 dungeons. in order to do t2, you will probably need to have an average item level, that you would obtain from tier1 + enchants, this is just an idea.

the stat curves will be great because 400 points = 1% so the gap between BIS and new guys will be low.
the build that is posted in here, doesn't prove anything, and it wont prove anything? so what if we can stack so high power? doesn't matter, its even more normal of having that high power,i am expecting we will have around 35k power.

It's just a preview of what drow set can do with right build.
35.000 power ??at this state mod 6 can get up to 25k- 26k with full pets/buffs but thats all.
Sure if they implement new armor lv 70 with 2000-3000 power per pice or whatever , then ya , it might .

    Atm no.

What?? Seriously? So all of the non-leveling purple gear that I wear on my 60 now I will not be able to wear once mod 6 drops? Where are you getting this info? Is this the case on preview??

So mod 6 they are basically cutting the balls off of every single level 60 player? What is the incentive to keep playing this game if you have a level 60 character?

either you wear it at lvl 60 and dont get the full stats over it, and when you get up to lvl 70 you get full stats, or you cannot wear it at all, and can wear it back at lvl 70.
and its basic knowledge, dont need to make such a fuss over 10 levels bro.
and what thing you dont get it of all mobs in tier 1 and tier 2 dungeons go up to lvl 70-71 and all sets will require lvl 70 to wear them?

( That's not what happen when you try to sell a game, on the contrary, you try to bring more people so it looks like a good buy. NCwest did the same thing with Aion before selling it to the EU, for like 2 or 3 weeks they made an "afk event" where you had to be logged in to earn really REALLY expensive enchantment stuff.
Of course people had several accounts looged for weeks, enough to make the game lag and be unplayable, but hey, you now have a game that looks very healthy with a huge player base and can sell it really fast.
It isn't happening here, which means they think they make good decisions, I'm not sure it's a good thing either. )

Right. It's called a liquidation event. You build up a great project, get a lot of customers, and then cut overhead down to almost nothing to max out profits, and THEN put it up for sale. You don't start with a crappy project that is losing money and then make it lose more money. No one wants to buy that. If the plan was a liquidation event they would have wanted to sell it before they started losing customers.

How can u expect that removing diminishing returns will close the gap between high and low equopped players?! The opposite will happen. Forget "rank 7 is enough" and "14k GS is enough". Yes! You will see soon, believe me or not. Why?

ATM everybody has crit-rating in a sweet spot, arp at hard cap and dumps every point into power. Our DPS is multiplied several times and we can adjust/maximize one factor. 167 power give 1% and the gain for each % must be valuated after calculating the increase in % from old-%-value to the new one. This is why you read the "20k is too much"-bla bla. Now we have THREE of this linear stats. So we can balance between three rating-sinks and optimize the gain. The increment for 1% will be 100/400 so when you compare with 167 and expect a power rating around 35k and look at the new items -> Factor two... You get? The same! But with another mechanic leaving more space for optimization and more gain from high rating-values. And high rating-values come from gear, enchants, companions and so on. In addition we get a non-linear increase of stats per enchantment rating. Rank 8/10/12 += 280/400/600. Disproportionate! In combination with a linear effect curve. Ooohh and there is the opposite of diminishing returns in a point of view I call "AD per %" because once you reached rank 10 upgrading to 11/12 will become LESS expansive. Close the gap?

To topic. I expect the following (for PvE!!):
    - The optimized mod6 GWF will have to balance power/crit/arp-rating
    - CON adds to STR and DEX as a damage contributing stat
    - High CON with "Constitution Focus" could be a solid option (?)
    - Crit-chance will be lower so high DEX and belt become even tastier
    - DEX belt and Lathander will dominate. Perhaps CON belt will be seen in PVE :-)
    - Vorpal will stay on top for high end builds
    - Humans extra feats will increase in significance so Human will catch-up or overhaul Half-Orc
    - Azure enchantment will be seen in offense slots
    - Combat Advantage, Mark, Blink Dog, Devourer thing will have even more power if calculation remains "ugly"
    - The variety of artifacts used will increase. Lantern, Book of the Dead can be used again

Sounds good inmy ears but the gap... will not change.

Neverwinter has been losing so many players for so long that it is hurting the profits of the parent company: http://mmoculture.com/2014/11/perfect-world-income-down-due-to-falling-number-of-neverwinter-players/

The players are very clear about what will make them leave or stay and the devs always do what will players say will make them leave. Then they leave and there are less players and the company makes less and less money. I have never seen a more self-destructive project in my entire life.

Yeah, I've been feeling that way too. Not bitter, just sad. I haven't even caught up to mod5. I don't mind giving the super gamers an edge when they grind away and dump loads of money, but there is a point when it just gets ridiculous. The whole refinement situation is really killing my ambition. Started a new toon, just so I can be on par with others of my level for a while.

Not really. Lol - It's just a pyramid scheme. People will have 70k HP and and better armor. Nothing will actually change.

...Except you'll have to spend more time grinding and paying.

Personally I prefer just playing for fun's sake and paying because it's worth the fun, not because I have to to keep up. :(

If devs change Intimidation to do 250% weapon damage (up from 125%) or so, I think I'll stick around with my GWF. If no, I'll just go Paladin. He's much beter at everything the GWF does anyways.

I'm thinking if leave or not my GWF..
I have 1 CW and 1 TR too but are lv 60 8k GS without boons.. and artifact blue

GWF have no chance of compete in pvp without a good charge and prone encounter like lunging strike or bull charge.. sprint is only a useless "Usain Bolt Mode"

Other classes have Freeze, block, stun, daze, knock away and we haveee.. we havee.. WTF we have? Takedown? Frontline?

The feat paths for all classes has grown so miserably out of control that it's impossible to create a baseline for any of the classes with the exception of the GF.

Sentinels have great survivability but do such little damage without CAGI and DS that you have to wonder what the actual direction of the class is.

Great survivability? We're talking mod 6 here, GWF has poor survivability compared to other classes. They have no reliable heal and no dodge immunity. With Life Steal and Regeneration changed as they are in mod 6 that will leave GWF in the dust.

And CAGI and DS does HAMSTER damage in Preview. Talking about Not So Fast kind of damage but without Armor Penetration applied. Which makes it even worse, lol.
