Patch Notes for 1/16/2015:

Classes and Balance
· The Metallic Ancestry Dragonborn may now appropriately choose two Attributes to increase instead of just one.

Items and Economy
· Iron Golem companion Active Bonus now has been increased to +1200 HP from +400 HP.

    Is the sigil of metallic dragonborn supposed to be tradable with players?

    Is the patch already on live server?

    still can just choose 1x +2 stats with the new race...

    Not yet. Will be in about 15 minutes or so.

    Educated guess...most of a patch is more than likely:

    - backing up from the dev server
    - backing up the live server/account server
    - restoring the dev server changes to the live server
    - patching of account/player characters

    Which most DBA's and Server admins would recognise as major time consuming events... Factor in they more than likely run loadbalanced virtualised servers that has to be updated as well, along with the proxies, your talking the same amount of time for patches of varying complexity, which is why it allways takes looong, no matter the size of the change.

    But that's just my guess at it...we won't know unless they give us a bit of a insight to the workings and I don't see that happening.

    Point is...it might not be as quick and effecient as other games patches but it's a toss up between maintaining stability and getting it patched as quick as possible...
