So, guess I still can't craft for the Siege of neverwinter. Seems my siege defense is still stuck at level 0 from the last event, with no way to resolve.
I have this exact same problem.
Got the Siege profession started in Gateway; the experience bar for the profession is full, but the game will not let it level up.
I also reported this problem back when the siege event first came out. Sadly nothing was done about it. I have the assets as well as the experience, yet I am at level zero on one of my toons.

Great...So is cryptic not going to do anything about this? Well that's great. Only way to get supplies now is to buy them off the auction house.

Please file a Support Ticket in game on the Affected Character by pressing Escape > Help > Request GM Assistance. I am not sure if the Game Masters can fix it but this is what I would do. If they cannot fix it, it means a patch will be needed and they will ask you to make a bug report. If they do, update your ticket with a link to this thread.
Thanks!

I did submit a report and am hoping that it will get fixed. The biggest problem that I have is that, when I hover over the profession, the profession says, "Current Experience: 1, Required for Next Rank: 1". How is it that Cryptic does not have a line of code in place to check whether or not this specific profession has enough experience to rank up? I mean, it would only have to be a code like, if( current Experience variable >= Required for Next Rank varaible) then increase profession rank++.
I am a college student who is going into coding and find it hard to believe that there isn't some sort of code like this implemented into Cryptic.
Panderus:
First thing I tried after getting the bug in gateway was try to do something with it in the client, to no avail.
I also just cleared my browser cache, and I get the same (disappointing) results.
Attached should be screencaps from within Gateway and within the client, respectively.
On the other hand, THIS WILL WORK:
0. On the professions window, click on the new profession
1. Now click on the tasks window
2. On one of the free tasks click to start a new task
3. The new profession will open automatically (because it was the last selected)
4. Click on the task
5. Start the task
6. Get the reward for the Siege Master (5seconds) task
7. No bug, profession levels without problem
Ok when I 1st read this it confused me so I messed around with it and FOUND THE FIX. Here is what I had to do:
(if your issue is that you have all the assets/mats and it's still not showing as available- then this fix could work for you. If you don't have all the required assets/mats then this probably isn't going to be any help.) I highly recommend using the gateway for this fix. 1. Go to the "Siege Defense Effort" professions.
2. Click the task that you want to do even though it's showing as red, click it anyways, open up that task. (You must have the required assets/mats obviously, i.e. Siege Master, Pushcart, Portable Altars, Injury Kits, etc.)
THE FIX:
3. Reselect your "Siege Master" person (If you're using Gateway and he's not there just refresh. If you're in game, try going back to the Character Select screen and then re-entering the game.).
(^^ It was the above step that fixed the issue for me.^^) Just simply Reslecting the item to use, the Siege Master, made the Start button no longer be greyed out, it finally showed as good to go!! *The game is not finding the Siege Master in all circumstances, it's there but this silly beast just can't find it.*
4.(May not be necessary for your circumstance) Reselect the Pushcart and see if task is ready to go now.
If that doesn't work, just refresh, try again, when you open up the task you want to do, trying clearing the Siege Master out of his slot, so that the slot is empty and then reselect him to go right back into it. A combo of of any/all of this should help the majority of people with this issue.
Good luck!!

"beckylunatic" Gateway AH should have column headers to sort by buyout, bid, end time, quantity, etc. These disappeared iirc with the module launch. It's obnoxious.
I have tried both before reporting the bug. In game, it is still stuck at level 0 with a full profession bar and has been since the previous Siege event.
I tried the above fixes, but none of them are working. I too submitted a ticket yesterday detailing my problem as well, though it's the exact same problem as everyone else seems to be having.
Any tips? I'm going to try and level a different profession, and then try again, but I don't think that will work.
EDIT: leveling up a different profession did not work. I still can't complete any of the tasks.
Tried this as well.. Still nothing. Problem is that I am rank 0. My siege master and cart show up when I select tasks, no problem. It just won't let me do any tasks because I am rank 0, even though my experience bar is full and I have the items.
