dooes Aspect of the Paack work with companions? when standin next to them too?
It works, it is very easy to test: attack the mob standig not the oposite side towards your companion but the same side, you'll see the blue circle around the target. This means AOTP works.

You can also tell by the sword icon that appears next to the damage indicator that CA is working. Not on crits, though, just normal damage.

It works fantastically with a summoned companion (not with augments because they don't attack anything, obvs). If you've got a canine friend that can prone when it has combat advantage, this will be in effect all the time instead of when your positioning aligns perfectly, and it's actually pretty darn spiffy if you like using a combat companion for your dailies.

Companion doesn't have to attack to grant you combat advantage with AotP, they just have to be within distance. Augment pet just isn't considered a physical ally even though it's summoned.

It was bugged for a time but has long been fixed.

As you say, the augment has no physical presence to play off of.
