Only because I think Cryptic should restructure refinement points so that PLAYING THE GAME gives players reliable RP. It could also come from doing tier 2 dungeons, doing skirmishes, doing quests, doing foundries. Including PVP in that mix is a fine idea by me.
Exactly. Exchange Glory earned from neverwinter into banners then refine your artifacts with banners, so you can take easily 3.5 times more RP without even upgrading your banners from PvP.

It`s currently 318,565 RP for 24,000 or 40,000 Glory (depending on artifact type).
your not factoring in reagents or even rp costs in this info. and alot of people already have artefacts at max or purple. im talking about rp for artefact equipment.. imagine say if u want to pvp only where the hell ru getting rp from (dragon chants please they dont drop nearly as much as say running a dungeon)
i have max artefacts, 50k glory, half a backpack full of pvp pots and no drow armor. i need something to get me to pvp
lack of rp options in pvp is an obvious oversight can we agree on this?
In my opinion (in which my RP ratios are far different from Cryptics'), I think that PVP matches could give out RP equivalent to quadruple the glory that you would normally get. That would be an estimate of 3,000 RP points per game which is very reasonable.
I think this idea would not botters a bigger problem than it already is just because the RP is automatically applied to the artifacts you are wearing and would be unsellable.

Are people not noticing that sometimes when you kill another player in PvP, and have a Dragon Hoard enchant equipped it still CAN drop a refinement gem? I am guessing Fey Blessing works as well.
All I know is sometimes when I stab somebody in a kill I've gotten gems before. Best one so far was an Aquamarine. Now that's some nice refine points from PvP.

@OP It would be nice to notice that you mean artifact gear RP in first post of topic, not in 9th.
That is a huge difference.
btw. It was refferenced at least 3 times you can get artifact gear RP from hoards by killing foes.
But I can agree, there is a lack of artifact gear RP in pure PvP.

This post is very misleading. It technically does exist, but it is very negligible. I can also make an argument that having 1 colored dye pack in a game gives the game "character customization" features, but that doesn't prevent it from being nothing but a technicality and wholly irrelevant to the function that we are trying to achieve. In this case, players need/want to be able to farm in-game content such as dungeons, raids and PVP to reasonably level up their artifacts through skilled gameplay and not primarily at the zen store/AH.

I was thinking how much better the game would be if PvP was completely removed.
if they make this happen the same players who wanted it would come on the forums and cry that there r too many noobs in pvp now just like the same arguement to scrap AD from PvP

There obviously should be separated player pools (shouldve been this way since mod 2)
More people would play if they knew they weren't going to get slammed with premades (and yes I would say 50% of my matches are now at least partial premades, even though I never enter as one myself)
In terms of RP, I agree, any way at all that we can add RP into the game for artifact equipment is good.

we get it u hate pvp. why not stay out of threads which you are against nad just start your own nerf pvp thread
Same reason you didn't stay out of ruining classes in PvE by whining endlessly about an aspect of the game no one in their right mind would take seriously.
Why don't you go play a PvP game that actually requires and depends on player skill?
And you still cannot get the Skull or any of the banners without playing PvP. Your point?
My point is that what matters is the RP of artifact equipment, and there should be a way on PvP to get those. The most expensive things about regular artifacts are the GMoPs and the price of the artifacts themselves.
And please don't use passive-aggressive tools. It looks really awkward.

Doesn't take into account class performance and level of Hoard enchants. An 18k GF with 4 Lesser Hoards is hardly going to get anything out of them. A 12 TR with 4 Lessers or 18k CW with Lessers, yeah, I can see it working for them as they will easily get 4 - 6 times the amount of kills a mid-range GF would.
PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.

One of the many Control Wizards that misses Shard Of The Endless Avalanche. RIP Shard (Beta-Mod3)

I was also referring to Dragon Hoard enchants.
When you slaughter someone and he drops an Aquamarine, how nice is that of him!

Fay blessing and hoard shares cooldown?

Can't get Eye of Lathander without doing PvE. As well as you can't get PBI without doing PvE even though it's a mutual set..
The game would be better if they actually introduced new endgame for PVE and PVP. Your logic is backwards.
It does, stones drop from players all the time with 1 or 2 dragon hoards
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, Life is but a dream.
I think they obviously meant from playing the PVP mode itself. Also, you get refinement stones very rarely in PVP matches.
