apart from Service Unavailable - Zero size object fix
1) spoiler tags
that would allow to hide larger text/images when quoting, would reduce number of quoted sheets of text
2) support section - there are a lot of ppl here who are either working in IT IRL or simply have dealt with same problem and can help much faster than support, freeing support ppl for other issues. and it would create a knowledge base so ppl can search before posting/submitting a ticket, at the very least ppl could help with properly describing the problem saving support from "OMG i haz lagz" tickets for reporting performance issues
A better pm notification system would be nice too. Just something to say how many new messages you have top right instead of an annoying pop up where you have to either open your inbox in a new window or in the current tab.

Okay I have to say it - just got this in Forums. Again:
"Service Unavailable - Zero size object The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later. Reference #15.d4f7fea5.1418855555.e117ef"
I ONLY get this on Neverwinter forums (Not the Star Trek or Champions) - is anyone looking into this? It's been going on longer than I can remember at this point and incredibly annoying. LOL

Yeah, our forums suck. It isn't really a secret.
We are trying to move the Neverwinter forums over to what Swordsman uses, but that project has been delayed a few times. I am not sure when it will actually happen.
PRO-TIP The forum system that Swordsman uses is SUPER-SUCK OF THE MOST HIGH and ten times worse than these forums, usability-wise. If Cryptic moves to that system I'll likely drop Neverwinter forums hence forth. yes. really. It's currently easier to just deal with the occasional "service unavailable" issue than to use that steaming heap-o-crappola.

So I thought you were exaggerating, I went there.

One of the many Control Wizards that misses Shard Of The Endless Avalanche. RIP Shard (Beta-Mod3)
Edit: well seems to take longer to load, and editing a reply seems out of position so I guess it's not great.
It's crowded with a severe lack of categories, has recent discussions instead of new posts, which seems to function like today's posts does for those that don't sign into the NW forums. Recent posts does also NOT sort by language so even though I can only speak english there are a ton of posts listed in what I think is Russian. There is also no dev tracker that I can find. To me that is a drop in functionality so extreme that I'm honestly at a loss to explain it.

...wow
please please PLEASE don't switch to those forums...
Talk about the worst piece of crapware on the internet...

^This. All this.
Especially the parts I've highlighted.
I *live* by these two current features of these forums.*
*This is why I'd rather deal with the occasional "Service Unavailable" than to lose these major features.

The visible elements of the Swordsman forum are a very basic setup of the system for a brand new game. Don't judge a book by its cover. That forum system has many of the features you all have been requesting since our first forum software here back in Alpha. Just because you cannot see it, doesn't mean it isn't there. It just means that it isn't being used there.
Forums, Forum Layout, Dev Tracker, New Post Highlight, PM Notifications, and so on are all cosmetic at best. To judge a forum system on the lack of seeing these is quite silly as these are elements that almost any forum system has, whether used or not.
Moving to the Arcgames.com unified forum system will be better not only for you, the Community, but also better for us Moderators and other Forum Staff as well on so many levels.

These, among many other things large and small, are all also things we, the Community Staff, would also like to see. We most likely won't have any changes in these regards until after the switch to the new forum system.

If not then can I post my suggestion here? And will it be read - at least if it gets alot of +1's ?
As Community Forums, that is what all of these subforums are for: Suggestions and Feedback, as Magenubbie stated, as long as they're posted in the appropriate thread or forum for such a topic. There's no need for a Suggestions forum in particular, as then it would just be a jumbled mess of seemingly random topics, especially in a game that has so much to discuss.
Such a suggestion forum works best in the earliest stages of MMO development, not in established MMOs with an insurmountable amount of possible topics. In established MMOs, feedback is found much easier when sorted into appropriate forums for their specific topics.
However, what we could use in this regard is an Official Forum for feedback that doesn't allow new threads to be made by forum users, only allowing replies to threads already made by forum and game staff.

We have a pm notification system? I've never seen it. So I guess that every improvement in that regard would be welcome.
When it comes to the zero sized object thing: the solution is over a year old and every decent forum admin out there has made the required adjustments in Apache ages ago. It's simply refusal to use the solution than actually having to look for one.
In the settings menu there's an option to turn it on. It pops up a dialog (as stated above) when you get a pm. It's not great, but it's all we got. But yeah, I don't really understand why some companies seem to struggle with a fully working forum.

The lack of a dev tracker would be a big loss indeed, I didn't really look out for it.

And offical reply thread would be nice.
Because a forum area spammed with player threads won't be any use either, no one will read them.

it could work if devs asked only about a single, specific thing/topic not about all class like on preview, else theres too much spam
