Seriously though, for a game called
NeverWINTER there's sure a lotta
winter themed maps in the Foundry yet
no deserts as of the latest. I really wished they could've given us a small version of the
Well of Dragons zone to work with.
Also, serious lack of
children NPCs other than the female
street urchins... I tired making male children NPCs out of the
Half-ling NPCs but something about it just didn't fit right (I dunno if it was
too muscly for being a kid size or
facial hair at the age of 7...)

What do you use for sand details? Also, what background/sky lighting is optimal to use to get that nice "yellowy golden" desert look?
You're an early bloomer. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
If you remember their names/category again, can you please leave a quick reply to this thread? Thanks
I have also tried using the snowy outdoor maps, though the crunching and snow puffs ruin the illusion. It could work if you prevent the player from actually going out onto the snow part (just using it to create the illusion of sandy dunes rolling out into the distance).
In all of those images the backdrops I am using are Dread Ring Exterior, Fog - Light Brown, and Fog - Ground Brown Medium.
EDIT: It would be much easier if we had access to actual desert/silt maps like parts of the well of dragons area...

I also use the snowy maps for deserts, with a warm fog and lightning it looks much better.
Also, Bardaaron, try scaling Chest Depth down a bit.
Jackpot! Thanks a bunch!
Hey thanks for the suggestion! I tried something similar, only I used the Default Exterior since it had more light but I also combined it with the yellow depthfade detail and it's just what I needed for my one desert map! Also the spiky plant work great as a substitute for desert cactus
