Foundry Needs Some Male Children NPCs and Deserts...

Seriously though, for a game called NeverWINTER there's sure a lotta winter themed maps in the Foundry yet no deserts as of the latest. I really wished they could've given us a small version of the Well of Dragons zone to work with. :/

Also, serious lack of children NPCs other than the female street urchins... I tired making male children NPCs out of the Half-ling NPCs but something about it just didn't fit right (I dunno if it was too muscly for being a kid size or facial hair at the age of 7...)

I agree on the deserts. There are male children though. I can't remember the names offhand, but they're there.
Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.

If you're feeling dedicated enough, everything you need to make a custom desert map is in the details section. But yes, it would be nice to have a big, empty desert map ready to use.

I had a full beard and chest hair at the age of 7. Is that not normal?

What do you use for sand details? Also, what background/sky lighting is optimal to use to get that nice "yellowy golden" desert look?

If you remember their names/category again, can you please leave a quick reply to this thread? Thanks :D

I am using the Thayan cliffs/rocks that are all dust covered in addition to the coastal maps with the water hidden. Although for the pictured oasis town, obviously the water is not hidden:

I have also tried using the snowy outdoor maps, though the crunching and snow puffs ruin the illusion. It could work if you prevent the player from actually going out onto the snow part (just using it to create the illusion of sandy dunes rolling out into the distance).

In all of those images the backdrops I am using are Dread Ring Exterior, Fog - Light Brown, and Fog - Ground Brown Medium.

EDIT: It would be much easier if we had access to actual desert/silt maps like parts of the well of dragons area...

...and the "children" are all called "urchin" - filter by that and you'll find a few.

I always used halflings for children, never knew there were some already XD
I also use the snowy maps for deserts, with a warm fog and lightning it looks much better.

I've made several children. Some are "urchins," others are halflings in disguise, and a few are full size models whose height, length, and bulk sliders I tampered with heavily. Unfortunately, apparently the girls all develop early, because even the bottom end of the "breast size" slider gives them pretty sizable HAMSTER, which is weird on a model that's supposed to be a kid. Seriously, the change is so small I wonder why they bothered giving it to us.

Peasant Human 19-25 appear to be mostly male children.

Also, Bardaaron, try scaling Chest Depth down a bit.

Hey thanks for the suggestion! I tried something similar, only I used the Default Exterior since it had more light but I also combined it with the yellow depthfade detail and it's just what I needed for my one desert map! Also the spiky plant work great as a substitute for desert cactus =)
