Imagine the degree of chaos if one day some hacker managed to crash the servers, managed to crash the player file database.

I think social media sites are the ones who need to crash....
I genuinely thought this was a problem at my end, like it usually is. I've moved my desktop and laptop to a new room in the house today, and suspected that to be the problem.
Anyway, I'd ask for people to quit hounding and pawing at the devs and workers, as they're doing their best to resolve this problem.

... Facebook??? Tbh I don't even log onto FB or Twitter and it seems like they post more updates about the problem they are trying to fix on them sites. But WHY not here?

I only log on to Facebook to get updates. I suppose it's quicker for them to do FB and Twitter than logging on to the forums? *shrug*

Most likely because more of the playerbase would be following NW on social media rather than the forums.

Yea I think the entire character database server is gone, hopefully just temporarily, but you can transfer zen to an account that doesnt exist....
