mantisa PVE executioner module 5 build

hi all
mantisa here (ex preying mantis) sharing my up to date PVE executioner module 5 build.

so here it goes:


general info:

race: human

master infiltrator



gear:

armor: draconic (for plus action points gain)

armor enchantments: lesser soulforged

defense slots: all lvl 8 cruel gives 120 defense and 120 deflect.

main hand: legendary weapon artifact (golden dragon claw) gives me 10% dmg boost to sly

offense enchantment: perfect vorpal 50% critical severity

offense slots all lvl 8 cruel gives 120 power+120 recovery

*i also use some lvl 8 radiant for extra power

off hand: draconic stilleto

belt: legendary belt of strength basically gives me all state i need +4 str, arp power , deflect
i also use the entire shores set for extra power,movement and defense.

rings:


shore set they are very good for now until i can make the gem jewel-crafting rings.

neck:


legendary Lathander's artifact gives me ac plus 8 (my ac is now 24) more dmg resistance plus more power defense and recovery.

ability score:

why int and not dex or cha?

we now critic 100% from stealth+most of my dmg comes from using encounters and dailies.



features:

saboteur feature:

Shady Preperations: Entering Stealth reduces all your cooldowns by 2/4/6/8/10%.


executioner features :


Arterial Cut: You have 3/6/9/12/15% increased Critical Severity while Stealthed.

Grim Pleasure: Your Critical Strikes increase your Power by 1/2/3/4/5% for 4 seconds.


Last Moments: You deal 5/10/15/20/25% more damage to foes who are below 40% HP. This threshhold is increased to 70% while you are stealthed.

Exposed Weakness: Stealth also causes you to ignore 5/10/15/20/25% of your target's armor.

Shadowborn: Entering Stealth grants you 20/40/60/80/100% increased power for your next attack.


Shadow of Demise: Dealing damage from Stealth places "Shadow of Demise" on the target for 6 seconds. When Shadow of Demise end the target takes 50% of the damage the Rogue dealt as Piercing Damage. Piercing damage cannot be deflected and ignores armor.

ratings:

gs: 19.475

power: 7.615 (45% dmg bonus)
critic: 1.517
arp: 2.267

recovery: 3.518 (45% action points gain)
action points gain:175
combat advantage bonus:450

defense:1.553 (29%)
deflect: 2,448 (30.2%)
regen: 883
life steal: 1.346
stamina gain: 775
aoe resist: 250

while doing dungeon or skirmish i use the following:
at-wills:

sly+clouds of steel


encounters:

blitz,smoke bomb,shadow strike

passive powers :

first strike :60% dmg for first strike and tactics for 15% action points gain

other option:dragon fights:

lashing blade,wicked reminder, shadow strike

passive powers with this option are: Invisible Infiltrator and first strike


vanguard sigil artifact is my primary since it give to me and party 418 power+life steal and -7% dmg resistance to enemies within circle for 30 seconds.


companions:

primary companion: radiance stone (blue) 3 offense slots, all slots with bonding stones (300 power each).

- 2 rings of pain for extra power and recovery sloted with lvl 8 cruel for 120 power+120 recovery

- reinforced belt for hp and regen sloted with lvl 8 radiant for extra hp

- green flame spirit for 1% action points gain (soon to be blue for extra action point %)

- epic spirit gives me 2% action points gain

- green hunter gives me 2% chance on encounter use to deal 5% more dmg for 5 sec. ( this option activates more often since the more targets you hit the better chance for it to activate)

- epic skull on start of battle plus 500 power & 500 recovery for 25 sec!

    Thank you for posting an updated build. This looks interesting. I will have to pickup my dormant TR once again and try this build out on her.

    Interesting. I did things a little differently, but the focus on action point gain is intriguing for sure!

    neck:

    24 ? 10 base points + 8 AC from Draconic Armor + 8 AC from Lath Belt = 26 AC, no ? The first 10 points of AC do not give damage resistance. So, your 26 AC give you 8% Damage resistance ?

    1553 Defense give you 24% DR + 8% = 32% DR.

    Oh, maybe your Belt is not Legendary ?

    Little question : How many HP with this build ?

    a my bad ac is 26

    defense last time i checked it 29%

    hp- close to 30k

    Vicious Pursuit is better than grim pleasure IMO. ITs +5% damage, grim is + 500 power with 10k power, thats 2-3% I guess.
    Exposed weakness woks as a Armor pen bonus (as far as I know) so It's only useful with armorpen less than 24%. So I would go with twisted grin.
    Also, as an executioner I wouldn go with low crit chance, you are out of stealth for a long time.
    Weathering the storm instead of E Tactics seem a waste.
    My story is truly a grand tale! Of course, any story about me is going to be grand simply by virtue of the main character.

    sorry for this (probably) obvious question, but what are your starting stats?
    You listed:
    Str 27 (4 from belt, 6 from leveling) = 17
    Con 13 (2 from leveling) = 11
    Dex 19 (2 from leveling) = 17
    Int 19 (6 from leveling) = 13
    Wis 13 (2 from leveling) = 11
    Cha 15 (2 from leveling) = 13

    I know I'm missing something but I can't get my head around what, could you plz post what it is?

    Exposed weakness been asked b4 w i used this option, tested it a few times it works. besides my arp is not maxed (23.4%) so im able to max this option. regarding other choices i know other rogues might question my build but i think each rogue makes his own build that he thinks fix his play style. never had dmg problems compered to other high scoring classes such as tr,sw,cw,gwf,hr and recently also dc.

    this ability score presentation is after invoke so you need to add +1 to str and +1 to int.
    sorry for not indicating that on post.

    Um I think I'm too new for this...
    Using the Wiki model of stats (Primary/Sec/Sec/A/B/C)
    what I listed:
    17/17/13/13/11/11 = impossible score
    what I think you mean with invoke
    17/16/13/11/10 = impossible score again

    could you help out a newbie? just post me the exact starting stats please

    The campfire bonus gives a +1 to ALL stats.

    Starting stats are therefore:
    16/16/12/10/10/10 with human +2 ability score bonus to intelligence.

    power tree is full i used all 81 points available.

    i almost always use the following encounters dailies and at wills:

    while doing dungeon or skirmish i use the following:

    "defense" is a very elusive when it come to us trs,

    u can stack radiant enchantments that will give you more hp
    you can use your stealth and smoke bomb and impossible to catch as means of defense too.

    i personally would recommend you to put cruel enchantments on defense slots (they give defense + deflect, lvl 7 is enough) and off course use your stealth,smoke and itc, not only as means of attack but also as means of defense too.

    I do use all those mechanics indeed, but its really frustrating when i get 1shot but a random auto attack (happened alot in epic SoT). I only got 1k defense so i was curious about what i was doing wrong etc

    all squishy classes get one shot at epic sot : trs cw sw

    dont attack first let tanky classes get aggro first

    is duellist flurry a good at will to use instead of sly b/c it does more damage than sly b/c of the bleeds vs high hp monsters or bosses

    also i used radiants in offence slots rather than cruel and diff enchants in def slots b/c artifacts r slighter differ, to get my power rating to a good amount. also at 16/6 gs my stats are, feats/boons not exactly same as ur guide but will respec later lol

    2610 arp
    1782 recov

    power bonus : 31%
    crit chance 24.5%
    arp: 24.4%
    recharge speed 23%
    action ponit gain : 32%


    28k hp
    damage resistance 27%
    deflect chance 28%
    6.6% life steal
    is this a decent setup of allocation of stats following this build or advice if my build is bad lol?

    was thinking if going dex/str with duellist flurry was still viable if i built crit high and had golden dragon horn for extra DF boost, or stick with this build, tried in CN and had higher paingiver than some CWs, except the 22k+ gs CWs lol

    states look good enough.
    enchantments: u are the one that needs to decide what benefits more for your build.

    DF is still good if you know how to time it and how to use it to the max.
    again it is a matter of own preferences and what you think fits more for your build.

    ok cool, what about when all ur encounters are on cd and u r left to spam at will/sly flourish, do u just wait for encounters/ shadow strike to go back up and repeact cycle? i do not do too much damage unstealthed just using sly flourish and often have to dodge aorund or wait for my encounters/ stealth bar to refill

    also which scenarios are u using dullist flurry rather than sly, seems DF wil have greater dmg overall due to bleed stacks especially on large hp bosses at end dungeons, or do u rarely use DF at all?

    yep i use sly until my stealth is up or i can use ss again and i also use the doge to doge enemies too

    rarely do i use df but if i do use it i use it on boss only but it depends on your play style and how well use can use df like i wrote before it is still very good encounter i just like sly more.

    i love your build but for the armor, could you please post a picture of your character? or at least specify a bit because im not sure what kind of draconic armor youre using... is it the templar or the regular one?
    also you said "for more action point gain".. but if you combine the 2-set pieces of both armor you get +300 AC gain so im not sure if youre doing that or using a full set of one type of armor
