80% speed mount. For whatever reason, it still has a green tooltip (mount tooltip colors being largely irrelevant). You can view it in the collections yourself.

Blue may be the theoretical (it's an RPG after all) rarity of the breed, or they may correct it.
I prefer they stick with stats to match colors.
[*Won't Spoil What it Is*] ...but it's one that I thought would make a good D&D pet or mount
and I'll be happy to have it, regardless of speed. Can always boost it if I really like it.
Did you really think anyone could steal the power of the god of thieves?

They've put misleading info in the event previrews before. I'm not saying it's the case, but...
I hate dancing with Lady Luck. She always steps on my toes.
I'm going with it being a 50% mount, though I would've preferred a Winter Wolf companion instead of an Ice Fairy. However, I think the popularity of a blue/purple quality Winter Wolf companion would make for a top selling Zen Market item, but what do I know...

Color doesn't mean anything - a Green +2 is the exact same thing as a Blue +/-0 (Both my Hellhound and Reanimated horse were green +2 which were rank II/80% mounts - they've since changed their colors to Blue.)
Either way, it's a complete freebie that you don't even have to grind for, so shame on anyone who drums-up any complaints about it.

The tooltip already shows it as an 80% speed mount, but green quality. Maybe it's an error, but the game has been around long enough that I could see them releasing a second-best mount as a player perk at this point.
Like Angrysprite says, color doesn't really mean anything, except an arbitrary indicator of rarity. They've tried to clean the tooltips up to be more consistent but there are still exceptions. The Zen store still indicates the Reanimated Destrier is green but I'll take Sprite's word for it that the item itself was updated. The "blue" horse that comes with the Guardian pack is also 110% speed.
I'm really excited to see this! I saw it on the calendar and couldn't believe my eyes. They were actually giving away a mount to EVERYONE and not gated in RNG or endless grinding. Not that I don't have 110% mounts but this is still awesome to see.
I can't wait to see this mount. Only if 110% mount training was substantially lesser in cost..
Ice Sprite companion is new, and the daily gift to open with random rewards in it is new. Also, your first daily present will give you an 80% speed Winter Wolf mount.
Most other stuff appears to be the same thus far, without the event being live to check the crafting, etc.
All I'm seeing is this guy posting there will be a mount.
Who is he? Is he a developer?

Being unaware of this is forgivable, but all you had to do to confirm her claim was read the Starlight Parcel tooltip in the game's calendar.
Alternatively, you could google "Starlight Parcel". The Neverwinter wiki's copy of the tooltip is the first result. However, you would then need to trust the wiki contributors.
Not irony at all. You told them it was too good and they were more than happy to fix it.
When I posted earlier, the state of the affairs in the story had advanced unbeknown to me (the actor). Informed players (the audience) would have known I was wrong. It's technical irony, the best kind.

I have 2 and only use one... the other sits around all day waiting to be fed
I have two mounts: Heavy Warg & the Throne.
Can't wait to go bobsledding on the Throne

Seriously Where does it officially say they are giving free mount? I do not see Anything from the official link provided from your link (http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/news/detail/9009633-winter-festival-event-preview).

I was so looking forward to this. Now I'm really sad. I hope it's a mistake and they put it back, seemed too good to be true though.
what the hell is half the stuff in here: http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Starlight_Parcel
It was expected, since its hard to believe that a wolf was wrapped inside the box.
On a serious note, yes thats a shame. Bet theyll make it a Zen Market item (which is fine, I guess).
