I was asked to write a complete guide after sharing my strategy in-game since it's different, sure the current mainstream Tiamat guide is good and all but with the devs apparently looking into allowing grouping for the instance, the said guide/strategy will be outdated in terms of efficiency. Even if they do not end up allowing grouping this still is very viable. I would like to point out that following this guide and applying it successfully will require good teamwork aswell as skill from every single member involved. The reason for this strategy to be the most efficient comes from debuff stacking aswell as clarity. The first part will give you an idea of what the phases are and the second ones will go into the more technical side of how it works and what you need to do. Tried to keep everything as simple as possible.

- Phase description -
_______________________________________________
• Phase One (Summoner Phase)- The first phase consists of five summoners with a few adds placed on each battle platforms. They all have a color attributed to them which is associated with the corresponding Tiamat Head color during phase 4. Defeating a summoner will drop a small interactable statuette which will allow you to acquire a Dragon Soul gem of the corresponding color. Those gems will later be used during phase 4 to defend yourself against Tiamat's wiping abilities.
• Phase Two (Severin Phase)- During the second phase Severin will spawn at the bottom-center of your map inbetween the entrance and the fire pit. He has to be taken down in order to start phase three.
• Phase Three (Cleric Phase)- On the third phase, there will be three clerics that will need to be defended. There will be a cleric on the far right, one on the far left and one straight in the middle right where you took down Severin. All three clerics will need to be defended in order to have the progression bars move up, if the clerics are not defended their progression will be halted and can also decrease, that said you will need to keep defending the clerics even when their bar is full if the other ones aren't done. Once all three clerics have filled their bar entirely they will cast a spell to weaken Tiamat and you will move onto phase four, the final unique phase.
• Phase Four (Tiamat Phase)- Phase four is where you get to fight Tiamat directly, or rather her five heads. Her five heads will rise over their respective battle platforms where you took down the summoners during the first phase. Her attacks will consist of direct bites infront of her near the edge of the platforms, small AoE circles aswell as bigger AoE attacks which can wipe anyone on the platform; this is where your Dragon Soul Gems come into play which will be explained later. During this phase you want to damage each of Tiamat's heads and they need to be taken down alltogether during the same phase in order to win the battle. If you fail to take down all the heads you will go back to phase three where you need to defend the clerics. Another problem is that if you have taken down one or more heads but not all of them, the heads that have been taken down will come back in the next phase four with 20% HP. Keep in mind that as long as a head has not been taken down, it will not regenerate, remember that for the actual technical playthrough part.

_______________________________________________
• Phase One (Summoner Phase)- As there are 5 different summoners and 25 players, you will need to divide into five teams of 5 players to take down the summoners. This will ensure that all five summoners will be taken down as fast as possible, have an equal spread of Dragon Soul Gems aswell as making sure that Severin will be reached and killed as soon as possible.
• Phase Two (Severin Phase)- This is the easiest phase of them all. The only thing you'll need to do here is move up to severin and attack him until he is taken down. Be careful for the starter AoE's around him when he comes up as it deals plenty of damage but after that, it's a "fight" without a scratch.
• Phase Three (Cleric Phase)- This is the phase where you get to defend the three clerics. You generally want to have 5-6 people on both the left and the right clerics and all the rest on the middle cleric (Linu). The reason for having a higher amount of players defending linu is that for some reason the majority of the adds will go towards her, cutting some slack to the two other clerics. It's recommended to have at least one CW and one DC amongst the players on each cleric. The reason for that is that CC is the best tool during the cleric phase; as long as the clerics are not being hit they will be charging and the only way to keep the adds off the clerics is by either taking aggro or by controlling them while they are being killed by the DPS's. Make sure that you keep defending your cleric until all of them are fully charged as they can still go down if not all of them are fully charged. Once all the clerics are charged they will weaken Tiamat and you will transition to phase four.
• Phase Four (Tiamat Phase)(Skip to the end for Dragon Soul Gem and Tiamat attacks explanation)
- Phase four is the last unique phase you will have to run through but you will not run it only once. In other words, as long as you haven't taken down all five of tiamat's heads before the phase timer finishes, you will go back to phase three (cleric phase) where you will need to defend the clerics again while they cast their spell so you can go back into phase four. Now do not be discouraged when that happens because the best way to run Tiamat is to actually do phase four THREE times. I'll explain all of that along with everything else concerning this phase.
Now, although you separated in 5 different teams at the start for the summoners, you will actually group up as a full 25 for this phase. The reason for actually spreading at the very start in phase one is so your raid has five Dragon Soul Gems of each kind, therefore providing protection for all 25 players when fighting the different heads. Some people might be wondering why it's better to have all 25 players attacking the same head and the reason for that is debuff stacking. The more players there are attacking one head, the more debuffs are applied AND the faster it is to damage the head.
Here's where it gets a little demanding teamwork-wise (which is why this guide is very group-dependent unless it becomes the mainstream way of running the instance even in PUGs). You want to start over at the black head, ALL 25 of the players. All you need to do is hit the head until it it brought down to roughly 5-10% HP then you want to move over to the next head to the right. The reason why you do not want to kill the head is because you do NOT have time to bring them all down in the first round of phase four, therefore if you do kill it it will come back the next round with 20% health. If you do this properly during the first round you should be able to bring down both the first and second head at around 5-10% HP aswell as the third (red, middle head) at about 50-60% HP. That of course should be the average result of this first round of phase four if done properly. The time limit for the phase should close up and send you back to phase three. Once you've completed phase three once again you will be sent back to phase four except that instead of going for the red head right away, you're going to rush the WHITE head (far right), bring it down to 5-10% hp then move over to the head on the left, bring it down to 5-10% hp then finally finish up the round by bringing down the red (middle) head to 5-10% HP aswell. At this point you will then again be sent back to phase three and once more defend the clerics.
After this cleric phase, you go into the THIRD and FINAL round of phase four. This phase should be your LAST chance at winning the fight. THIS is where your 25 members will split back into 5 teams like in the summoners phase, go to their respective heads and FINISH the 5-10% health left on the heads. If done properly all heads will be finished up at the same time in this last round and you will win.

• Dragon Soul Gem effects - Red: Creates a circle on the ground which protects you from the red head's fire AoE attack
- Green: Creates a circle on the ground which protects you from the green head's poison AoE attack.
- Blue: Creates a circle on the ground which protects you from the blue head's lightning AoE attack.
- White: Removes CC applied by the white head.
- Black: Removes armor-reducing debuff from the black head's attack.
• How to use Dragon Soul Gem and Tiamat's attacks (Tiamat Phase)- When you receive your Dragon Soul Gem from your respective summoner platform, you need to drag it from your inventory into a quick slot where you normally put your potions in. You can also clear one slot beforehand so that the gem goes into said slot automatically when picking it up. This will allow you to trigger the gem during the fight against Tiamat. Tiamat's attack pattern is quite simple, she seems to have three attacks during phase four and that is the direct bite which is dodgeable by moving backwards as she only bites players near the head. The second attack is small AoE circles which can be dodged by moving directly when you see those circles, you will need fast reaction time as the actual damaging effect is very fast after the circle appears. The third attack is her bigger AoE attacks which can wipe the entire party, a very big area of the platform will turn red, that's where you want to use your Dragon Soul Gem if you are fighting the head that fits your gem, if not you'll have to trust the 5 players who have the gem fitting the head your entire group is fighting. Using your Dragon soul Gem will create a circle on the ground which will be a safezone for anyone standing inside of it, being immune to both CC and damage from Tiamat's attack. Make sure you alternate eachother's turns at using the gem as five players should have the corresponding gem to protect the entire 25 man party. The only attacks that can truly oneshot the majority of the players even with constant healing is the lightning AoE from the blue head but you still want to make sure you don't underestimate the other attacks as they deal great damage.

That's it for now it seems. If I missed something, made a mistake or if you have questions, feel free to speak, made this while being quite tired. I will most likely add related questions on a Q&A section at the bottom of this.

EDIT 10/12/2014: As expected this strategy is now the main way to do it aswell as the most efficient. Glad people picked up on it.

- Killing a head during phase 4 when other heads are still up at the end of this phase => don't ever finish the head off if you are not certain that all of them will be down at the end of the phase.
- Killing all heads during the second Phase 4 => you're better off waiting for the third.
And also, if you somehow lack DPS, but can defend the clerics well enough, you will get 4 full Phase 4 !
I've already pointed those out, please read the guide before replying.
Also, the drop bugs are being looked into and probably will be fixed soon.
since not all read the forum, or speak English
any chance that you will post some kind of instructions for the ppl that wait for in the room for 5 min
something like: the summoners drop precious stone that can protect you from tiamat attacks, make sure you have open slot on your belt
or if one dragon head is defeated, it will revive on the next round. make sure you kill all tiamat heads at once
...
many ppl still use tymora lucky coin before the battle and end up without slots for the stone
and almost every run, ther is a group that kill a head instead of helping others
You should post that in the Temple of Tiamat feedback thread, not here. Try to keep your replies about this guide.

Black and white work like a cure. Use after affected asap.
Black dragon debuff alot, and you will get 1 shot, by mobs
White dragon does a freeze aoe, which is avoidable, if anyone caught in the freeze, can use gem to save him
Red/Green/Blue soul gem act like a shield, set it up when you see the red area on respective heads
Do talk and setup, when to use it and whose turn to use it.
set it up proper, even with low dps. Other that come to help will benefit too.
And with current bug please don't kill dragon head on the 2nd phase
*Dev please fix the Blue head AOE on the cleric parts. It as lethal as a invisible Tr, having SF will not save anyone too
Forgot about writing that, thanks for reminding me.
