Yes!
As a realms fan I hate the lack of references to specific gods. Tyr needs his house back.
There is actually one reference in the game which references the top of the hill as the "Temple of Tyr" but it really need to be blatantly obvious there is a temple to Tyr and not ambiguous altars.
Gods are a deep aspect of the FR Lore and easily the most undersold in NW. I mean FR is a place where gods actually do effect mortal's lives. When there is a freak storm at sea there is a good chance it actually was Umberlee that caused it.
A FR Setting where people don't reference the gods effecting their day to day lives is missing a key aspect of lore. Gods are a driving force in the realms and to have them virtually unrepresented and worse off to not even have places for their own worship is a major shortfall.

I completely agree sir. And that's why I was so disappointed figuring out that the patron god choice when you create your character has no impact ingame at all.

And it's better that way.
I was actually upset that they would force me to worship these "Gods".
Hope it stay this way.

Nobody forces you do to anything. This is a game, based in a let's pretend, RPG franchise. And if (preteending to) workship a deity in it bothers you that much, then killing imaginary dragons, orcs and humans should too.

There's a proverb that says "Ne cherche pas midi a 14h". Literally applies to your post.
You just compared two completely different things.

Not really...
Gods in the forgotten realms are just that...in the forgotten realms. It's a key aspect of the setting.
It's like releasing a game set in Ancient Greece or Egypt without referencing the gods of the period. What your modern religious beliefs are are meaningless because the setting has nothing to do with your real life. The setting has a different set of gods and without references to them to setting is incomplete or inaccurate.
Whether it is Ancient Greece or The Forgotten Realms people reference the gods constantly whether things go in their favor or seem set against them. That is the setting.
In most regards it doesn't even have diddly-squat to do with worship and is simply a nod of acknowledgement to the fact that god has dominion over the aspects of the situation. Sailors in the FR don't always "worship" Umberlee but all sailors curse her when storms cause them grief.
Let's leave your religious views out of any discussions on the forums from now on. A conflict with your real life beliefs and the beliefs of the setting has no place on the forums.
I would love to see an update revolving around deities. Call it The Circle of Greater Powers. The dieties should tie right into our characters. They should offer certain buffs based on the dierty you chose to follow upon character creation.

I like this idea. Doesn't need to be anything fancy, just a small bonus that reflects the deity's domain.
