Looking forward to the Winter Festival!

Have to say both the Midsummer and the Winter Festival are my absolute favorites in the calender. I have been and will be enjoying them for the second time. I think the zones are beautiful and the content enjoyable.

Winter Festival comes up on top because of the ice race and fishing, just grant. One thing though: I'd LOVE to have an item added to the event rewards sometime in the future that would grant you access to the areas all year, similar to the Garden Key. Just don't run the events and remove the currency outside the Festival days, but let us kill some trolls, herd chicken, ice race and fish all year!

Last year I had a complete brain HAMSTER and didn't know about the currencies until there was 2 days left so I couldn't buy anything:mad:

Really hope they don't turn this into a grind fest.

I hope they don't do the same thing as last year, since they deleted my 2000 lights when mod5 came. Hours of farming thrown away, like not getting my rewards last year wasn't enough.

I can't wait to skip it, since I use none of the stuff I got last year.

Bought a ton of scarves for a character I don't even use now because all the HAMSTER was bound to it.

It's apparently the new pattern with Cryptic -- just before a festival or event delete all event currency.
They did the same thing with the Summer Festival.

So, only grind if you can complete and buy what you want BEFORE the end of the festival, 'cause any grinding you do that you don't spend will be deleted.

    LMAO! this

Good times, I remember these lame fawn jokes in the zone chat.

They were lame as hell but it made me laugh still.

I might be one of the only people that does NOT like the Winter Festival. I hope it is better than last years, and I hope that everyone enjoys it, but I will not be joining in for the festival missions.

And this is what i like about the event.
Lazy people stay out, aswell as the majority of elitists, who don't want to farm/earn their items.

    Merry Christmas, i'd say.

I am neither lazy nor elitist. I simply do not like the confluence of hundreds of people, large amounts of lag and repetitive farming for rewards that do not impress me that much. i do like the fawn, but I am content with not getting one because I would not be using it even if I had one.

    It IS nothing but grind. I like it. F, f, f, f, f, f, f, f, f, f, f, f, f, f, f, f... You know.

Yeah, but the Undead Fishermen do spice up the monotony. :)

That was half the fun I had there last year.. patrolling the ice so people can fish in peace. Nothing but nuking skellies, for me. Hahaha

Oh.. that, and doing the running jump over that accelerator hill to reach the ledge on the other side of the ice... XD

Seeing the pictures of the ice skellies, we DEFINITELY need a PVP arena on skates!

Yes, the event is grindy, but all are. Winter Festival has some unique fun parts though.

Meh , the Ice Sprite still the only new addition to the reward list , thank god to get either the companion or mount you only have to spend 30 seconds doing the daily every day for a couple of weeks , hopefully the companion will be BoE again like last year , personally I'll do the daily on all my alts so I can get a crapload of free companions to sell later in the year like last year then forget about the place unless they added some new pass times and rewards to the place.

There really aren't any items worth working for. Even my newest alts have no use for the fawn, mimic and 50% sled. The only reason for most of us to do it, especially those of us who did it last year, is to sell the rewards, which really aren't worth much.

However if we could upgrade last years rewards, it might be worth it.

Puns, a primer: A pun is when you use homonyms to make a humourous yet painful statement. So for instance
Fawn of the Dead = a pun
Night of the Living Fawn =/= a pun.

Thank you and please pun responsibly.

    ox·y·mo·ron
    ˌäksəˈmôrˌän
    noun
    noun: oxymoron; plural noun: oxymorons
a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction (e.g., pun responsibly ).

    Sorry, I just couldn't resist :)

Unfortunately no. "He cut off his nose to sprite his face." however would. "de Sprite all else." would also work. A little inSprite would help you generate your own.
