We used to farm CN, potentially get 100k AD ring, 100k AD neck and belts, well not 100k AD, but something and a 500k-1m AD weapon piece so about 100-200k each for split runs. 6/8k rAD and an abysmally low drop rate just does not cut it. I am not going to waste my time. Even if I chose to I can only do a few runs until I reached max refine limit, I can't farm all day. We need some form of progression/way to sell reasonably valuable loot.

To be fair, not many people who weren't trolls would vote no. It's like asking a stranger if they want £1 million. Chances are they're going to say yes.
Grind your gear to Legendary is near impossible unless you do shady foundries which probably will be fixed sooner or later anyway. And then we desperately need another reliable source of RPs. Dungeons are not rewarding, we need RP. Looks like a fit to me. Since prices for RPs will be skyrocketing come Tuesday it could even be somewhat profitable to run DDs again...
But I've said it in another thread: I guess they'll wait until the economy has stabilized under the new BtA conditions and slowly adjust from there.

Gold farmers I imagine don't really do dungeons. This would give an RP supply to those that do dungeons which are more social and fun then sitting in a foundry or farming adds all day. The latest dungeons have been quite unrewarding so this could be a solution if they're not stingy. It'd move the rp supply from botters to players.
Edit: By the way there's currently 6 votes for no when initially there were 2 votes for yes so a few of those votes for no don't actually count and you can vote for both options which isn't a problem if they were both yes... I think 1 persona at least did that.

Yeah, I was referring to these foundries. Everyone is currently getting tons of RPs out of them, but I guess after making these BtA, the next step will be dealing with the foundries.
And all stuff from chests is already BoP, so there nothing newly added RPs could drag down in the AH. I the drop rate of BoE RPs within dungeons has to be severely buffed, it's an area bots can't touched and people can use to make some profit off their runs.
Might add BtA/BoP stuff from chests/dailies as well, wouldn't hurt.

For the current game, aquamarine are simply garbage now. That and a ton of peridots are what you'd probably end up with anyway...

yeah will be very nice to get a peridot after 20 min of a Dungeon run...o wait, people use "shorcut" so will be 5 min each run. Yeah, very nice idea ^^ i voted no, like i told, because you can still get your RP whit just some hour of killing mob.
voted yes, running dungeons is more fn and challenging than just farming mobs in a foundry... while the fonudry will have a better rp/hr ratio, not all of us want to grind like that, or at least constantly. This way get some reward from running dungeons, specially once ur geared up. It will also lessen the players impacton th bta change on the dragonhoards.
They should be unbound and have a range of drops from aquamarine to black opal (or something in the lines) to be a worthwhile change anyways. U can ony do a certain ammount of runs per dd + the daily key and then its spending 5k on keys, so rewards should be at leats slightly mre ad than that to be rewarding.
Yes, but the RP value would need to be higher. Black opal at least, with a chance for 2x black opal or something. Then, maybe a really low chance for a ruby, or even better, a super low chance - like artifact belt % for a diamond

That's why I said "quite a few" nicer items. What I meant was something like 10+ Aquamarines, as well as chances at getting black opals, rubies, etc. But I don't think that would ever happen.

Once you get geared the pve is pretty much dead. Its really easy and unrewarding. So sure I'm fine with the lowbies getting rp from chests and even selling it to get their coal wards and normal/greaters but what I really want is high end pve content from the game. The pvp is garbage and after getting my main to where its at there's no challenge or reward. So if they do add refine points to pirate king I'm still not going to run it unless some no gears ask for help. And then they are going to have a boring time.

How is this going to cause trolling? To be honest the idea of this poll is to show the designers of this game that if they are going to close off The farmers and make RP BOP then they should be doing stuff to help alleviate that void that will open up in it's place.
This is a great idea which should be put into all dungeons and even skirmishes. Make the RP item reward much larger in dungeons though. Heck, you can even tailor it to the different needs Peridots and the like for regular artifacts in some dungeons and skirmishes, resonance stones and stuff in others and use that to track who's doing what and how often. Might help you build a better game in the future. I have more to say on this but I want to focus on this idea, not some of the issues of the game.

Yes, and using foundry farming missions is NOT what they were intended for. Nor is it really fun. Matter of fact it is pretty much the opposite of everything I would hope the game devs want people to experience in Neverwinter.

On 12 characters opening one of those boxes every week since February, I think I have got two, possibly three, Coalescent Wards. You can guesstimate the odds from that.
I also think that once you have spent 70 Power Points from post-level 60 XP Rewards, the drop rates should shift to a new set of tables which give better odds for those Coffers, Professions Nodes, Dungeon Chests, Monster drops etc etc.
With 12 level 60 characters I get a huge incoming stream of Rank 2 to 4 enchants and runes from Leadership and playing. Every couple of days I have to visit my 48 Shared Bank Vault slots to off-load and have a mass refining session just to clear my inventories. And they all have a Dragonhoard Bag and at least two Greater Bags of Holding.
But, with 12 level 60 characters, my four Main characters have Rank 7 and 8 Enchants and Runes, so I actually NEED a massive flow coming in. My other characters have none at all.
I could probably collect them all together again and make enough Rank 8 and 9 for a single character, but I actually like to play both my DCs (DO and AC) AND both my TRs (MI and WK) and I also like to play all my other characters from time to time as well.
So, yes, Refining Stones should drop from all possible sources (as should all types of Marks for Artifacts) and should scale with your level far better than they do.
If these things did not ALL drop in-game at a rate which allowed you to progress at some sort of reasonable rate, or at least were available from an AD sink, it would not be truly Free To Play if some parts of the gaming experience were permanently closed off to you.
So I'd like to see more BtA Lesser Marks, Marks and Greater Marks of Potency/Power/Stability/Union AND more Power/Stability/Union/Resonance Stones of all four colours dropping in-game AND be added to an AD Sink like the Wondrous Bazaar.
And if they were BtA and available at the Wondrous Bazaar, I'd have a reason to buy Zen just to convert to AD. At the moment, there is nothing I need or even want that is worth the price until they increase the number of additional Shared Bank Slots from 40 to 160. Although, some of my characters would look good sitting on a Leopard of Chult, but I already have a Dawn Unicorn, a White Tiger and a Yeth Hound. And a Tier 2 Medium Inferno I foolishly got for 750 Trade Bars before I knew any better, but under my Dwarf it looks more like a pony.
I'd also like to see a New Service that just allows you to Re-Train your character and ALSO re-do your initial stat rolls without changing Race. The Race Change Tokens are as badly over-priced as the Blood Rubies and Coalescence Wards. But that is probably for another thread.

Adding RP to the loot drop from a dungeon chest would also have no noticable impact on you since a dungeon run takes time. How many dungeons can you run and wouldnt you get lots more RP from above mentioned sources along the way anyways?
Another option would be to sell marks and RP via the Bazaar, but then the AH would soon become redundant in that regard as well. I think there must be a reason why you cant buy everything in the Bazaar and have to buy other stuff on the AH. Maybe it has something to do with Lockboxes and selling off dungeon loot, but who knows

End chests in T2 dungeons should contain blue marks and RP items instead of stupid t1 sets. I seriously don't get why you'd put a t1 item as a reward in a t2 dungeon... obviously already passed the t1 level.

Treating opinions not your own derogatory is really proving your point...
I was also saying that RP from chests wont have a huge impact on the overall RP you gather. What do you expect to get in those chests? Brilliant Diamonds? The best you can hope for is maybe a black opal, but much more often a Peridot or Aquamarine I would think.
Just take the gauntlet from the Dread Ring as an example. That one is a joke...The initial invest is much higher than any return you can hope to get: With the 45 K AD total you spend to get the mithral gauntlet you could have bought up to 150 K RP instead in the past weeks.
With the dragon's hoard enchantments, which are really quite affordable at the moment, the new system will reward active players. With dailies from Sharandar, Dread Ring and sometimes Dwarven Valley I made roughly 250 K RP in less than a week with a 7% chance for Refining Stones. And that is not counting the rank 4 enchantments I got anyways.

The rewards at the end could be absolutely fantastic, but those alone won't make a dungeon fun. An amazing award will likewise not necessarily promote teamwork. People are going to do the minimum necessary to earn the rewards they want.
The solution, IMO, is to present the team with enemies that can't simply be steamrolled by well equipped players. Rather, enemies that think intelligently, and as a result, require our team to work together, is what is needed here. Alas, good enemy AI is unlikely, and ones that are just bigger bags of HP with more damaging attacks, is all we are likely to see.
The reward pools for most end chests are already flooded with what most people would consider "garbage" - maybe take some of the less desired items out of there and replace them with good value refinement items instead. While they're cleaning up the reward tables, maybe make it so you can never get anything worse than a T2 item from a T2 chest...

I was also saying that RP from chests wont have a huge impact on the overall RP you gather. What do you expect to get in those chests? Brilliant Diamonds? The best you can hope for is maybe a black opal, but much more often a Peridot or Aquamarine I would think.
Just take the gauntlet from the Dread Ring as an example. That one is a joke...The initial invest is much higher than any return you can hope to get: With the 45 K AD total you spend to get the mithral gauntlet you could have bought up to 150 K RP instead in the past weeks.
With the dragon's hoard enchantments, which are really quite affordable at the moment, the new system will reward active players. With dailies from Sharandar, Dread Ring and sometimes Dwarven Valley I made roughly 250 K RP in less than a week with a 7% chance for Refining Stones. And that is not counting the rank 4 enchantments I got anyways.
The solution, IMO, is to present the team with enemies that can't simply be steamrolled by well equipped players. Rather, enemies that think intelligently, and as a result, require our team to work together, is what is needed here. Alas, good enemy AI is unlikely, and ones that are just bigger bags of HP with more damaging attacks, is all we are likely to see.
The reward pools for most end chests are already flooded with what most people would consider "garbage" - maybe take some of the less desired items out of there and replace them with good value refinement items instead. While they're cleaning up the reward tables, maybe make it so you can never get anything worse than a T2 item from a T2 chest...
