Black Ice Gauntlet in Icewind Pass

I lost count on the number of prospectors I've rescued and the number of Remohaz that has been slain but there's still no sign of this elusive Black Ice Gauntlets after 3+ weeks of intensive gaming.
For you DCs who have already acquired your Black Ice Gauntlets, pray tell which Heroic Encounter did you obtain the drop.

If it is a glitch dropped from client to client it would have to be similar to the tyranny of Dragon chests with the key, in which the item can be shown but you will not receive it more than likely they are just getting false read on it being functional. Fact of the matter is it is one of those glitch drops that they either do not know about, refuse to fix or are in total denial about.
The other option is that the chance of them dropping really is .5% and you only see people with them because of the large number of players. I have heard many people argue that they should lower the qualifications and increase the chance of dropping. There was an open thread about this that dealt with an increasing chance based on the amount of major heroic encounters you do that resets at the end of the day but it would increase slower for epic drops that you had already received.
I have seen people's posts get repeatedly deleted over the subject so will not go into the consensus of the player group.I think that the thin line between vague and confusion needs to be pointed out it is not capable of dropping from Kessell retreat. At this point it has to be either a client to client glitch or an absurdly low drop rates equivalent to a content block that just enough people get for people to assume it works at a higher rate, the most horrid outcome of this would be both.

I try to do a mix of DPS, taking damage, and healing.
I tend to use sunburst to tag the most mobs possible, stand in all the red to take as much damage as possible, and either use daunting light for extra DPS or astral shield for extra healing. Play around with some combination of those spells.

if u have high prophet set, try to switch to profound
try to max ur healing, don't be shy to argo adds as well

P.S. don't forget to resurrect whenever you see an opportunity, i did that all the time !!!

I got one purple , a epic elk talisman for a cw bound...
Im done with IWD and with trying to get any more gear, I really want the black ice for my DC as well, but until they change how you can get them, Im not going to bother anymore.
Any developers reading this thread would like to verify this? lol
to be honest I haven't been in IWD since Mod 4

with the dragons its very easy to get great success but chances of getting something is bad
as far as I remember it was hard to get great success on IWD
Getting the devs or mods to verify anything on threads like these is like winning a gauntlegrim pvp when you a lone DC impossible and really embarrassing to try.
Man don't give up I farmed for two weeks with such bad conditions...my pc is 7 years old, has terrible fps and I because of it I didn't even manage to cast encounters/at-will anytime I needed...with such a big instance population it was basically a slideshow when I got my gauntlets/scepter, and I even died on Beholder and didn't have great success. Don't give up hope, for the heaven's sake
I wished I had your optimism but my patience is waning from all that grinding (almost 2 mths, every day without fail) and not getting the gauntlets.
