Dragon Bone Trident

Hi,

Does anyone know why a Dragon Bone Trident sales for 85k to players? I don't want to dump it without knowing why it has value. Thanks!

    All the dragon born weapons and off hands I believe level with the character. Its the cheap mans epic mulhorand version. Good weapons to start a character with at level 1. Plus they have weapon enhancement slot which is great for low levels in PvP.

    The Trident is the GF main hand. Could be that the GF is being leveled more than any other class atm except for the warlock maybe.

    The trident is awesome for leveling. My GF has done every dungeon up to Idris and every skirmish to Pit Fighter and is always far in the lead in DPS.

    I would think transmute - a Trident would look cool on the Dread weapon set.

    I think there are several contributing factors. People are liking the dragon bone weapons for skins even if they have no use for the gear.

    Ease of obtaining the item is also a factor. There are fewer of these kicking around than most of the weapons, and I suspect that's because a lot of players struggle to perform well in dragon fights on a GF. So supply is a bit limited.

    And there probably are more levelling GFs right now than of certain other classes, which bumps demand.

    Rather than it being difficult to get Great Success on my GF for damage taken, I've found it incredibly difficult to find the Trident. I'm at 5 or 6 Bone shields, an artifact, and both armor drops found. For whatever reason, at least for myself, I don't seem to see any except the rare transmute or maybe a couple people lugging it around while levelling.
