its safe to say that its the worst weapon enchant in the game.
which would not be such a big problem but its also the cheapest by far.
so i cant change for another
terror which was the second worst is almost 2x the price as bilethorn. so just asking
is bilethorn working as intended right now?
who is going to complain lol.
only ones using bile were pro tr not random nb u see here.
today anyone can play tr with decent gear u dont need to df
just run around the cap hide and daily here and there.
no need for such specialised pro item in the game
Get a grip. Yeah, it sucks that it has been so devalued. No argument there. It's still a good enchantment. You were simply using it while it was broken giving you an unfair advantage. DF is still deadly effective in the right hands. I've said this before but I will say it again:
I use Cos/Gloaming Cut with Perfect Bilethorn and I absolutely ANNIHILATE most people. I'm talking good players, in this module. HRs CWs, etc. The people I lose to are all in full BI armor rocking Dragon Glyphs and are maxed characters (legendary belt's artifacts, etc.) I should lose to those players. I'm just about back at all rank 9's, been switching things around a bit.
Once I get those BI gloves, if ever, I'll adapt my current build and go from there. I'm also experimenting with other options.
So, your problem isn't Bilethorn. It's your build. Perma and semi-perma do not work in this mod (No overload slots on Profound armor) at the ELITE ("pro" as you call it) level. That is subject to change if Glyphs get proper nerfs. Is Bilethorn optimal for TRs as mod 4 is currently constructed? No, it is not. But it is not the reason TRs are less effective. The gear wall that is the BI glove is the major culprit. Which is why I'm exploring another options in the meantime.
If Profound gear had Overload slots, we'd be talking about a whole different ballgame. If's and buts.....
dont know were u got the idea you should lose from bi armor people
realy i dont see how is that fine
bile on any tanky build is total and utter HAMSTER
and btw just to destroy your poor logic
why is it the cheapest enchant in the game if its so good plz explain
3 mill on ah and that is good looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

bilethorn is still one of the stronger enchantments overall in terms of damage since it is one of the higher grades of bonus damage inflicted, although not as strong as the 20% given from Lightning. The extra ticks are also still useful and will destealth a TR quicker than any other -- although after the bug fix the change in efficiency does show -- but ofcourse, it simply means just how much the self-proclaimed "pros" were simply exploiting a broken mechanic that was never WAI.
But the problem with bilethorn is simply a problem with all other enchants as well now -- especially for TRs. The recent changes in class mechanics have resulted in a general increase in damage load, such as the IBS changes for the GWF, addition of Careful Attack to HRs, and of course the recently buffed CWs. Compared to those classes, TRs are falling behind the item curve (in most cases due to the reliancy on stealth, and hence restricted to Profound grade items in many cases), and particularly in damage.
Before BI gear, still we could manage. But nowadays average HP of competition is going up. Even the PuGs, who were on average 21k~23k HP, I see nowadays have been generally increased upto 27~28k-ish in HP. The more serious folk with the latest gear have easily around 40k HP or more, have stronger defensive stats. Against these levels, nothing other than Vorpal does enough damage to make a difference. The condition us TRs are in makes it even worse -- we can't risk using our stronger powers because we're limited to certain 'safe' powers due to our general defenses being so weak (can't risk losing stealth at all).
...
So its not bilethorn is weak. It's simply with the current state the TR is in, there's no other option.
Stop making excuses. Be a man. If you know something to be broken, stop using it. Otherwise, you've got no right to be speaking of 'balance.'

wrong its the worst enchant in the game not viable in any build, any class ,pve or pvp
not a single fotm uses it or how is that one of stronger enchants?
facts still stand:
1.it was 2nd most expencive before the nerf
2.it was nerfed
3.its the worst enchant in the game not viable in any build, any class ,pve or pvp
not a single fotm uses it
4.its the cheapest perfect enchant by far
(ps) I also find it funny you and mxdouch* seem to always appear at the same time and disappear at the same time, using exactly same type of broken wording, syntax, grammatical errors, deranged logic, and then the exact same foul attitude toward others who don't agree with your 2-bit "pro thinking".
Are you guys actually different people? Because at this point, I'm thinking you're actually one guy who is lame enough to use two accounts to sound as if someone actually has a friend,
Either that, or you guys are soul mates -- in this case I apologize, I'm not against HAMSTER couples.

i play tr so i can duel other trs .all off u just live in fear not me tho im a fighter
today fotm is having best gear most hp ,dc artifact and daily spam.
not interested at all in playing such a tr
thats why i dont play pvp hr coz it takes 0 skill just gear
i want to play df on df so we see the skill
nothing u know about or understand anyway
Everything you said is making no sense. You obviously switched to perma stealth and p bile BECAUSE you were trying to copy the FOTM build so you cant say that you don't switch to FOTM builds... Idgaf if you're a fighter I never asked. Oh and having p bile with the profound set to make your little perma stealth work is pretty gear dependent IMO.
Pretty sure perfect bronzewood is cheaper. now thats an enchant that needs a serious rework. I have a post i'm working on regarding all current enchants and their effects / opinions on them, as I think they need some much needed love come mod 5 to make them all viable and give us build diversity again.
Bronzewood is actually not bad. If we take into consideration only PvP, Bronzewood is actually easier to pull off higher burst damage than some of the more popular enchants like Plaguefire.
But in general, the 10sec ON-OFF time does make it difficult to manage than others -- although its still a lot better than those with 60sec timers.
When it comes to enchant reworks, I agree there should be one.

Hey thanks for the reply, I was wondering about bronzewood because the way I read it it was merely giving you a 16% armor "ignore" which I interpreted as reduction so only 1% better than 1 stack of plaguefire. How I felt it should work is more like the HR Piercing blades, so 16% of damage is guaranteed and pure and the remainder goes through normal DR calculations and is then added to this pure damage. not too sure how the maths would work behind this but I could probably pull it up.
Alternatively if it took 16% of their total armor and then reapplied normal DR calculations after that 16% was taken off (for example 4000 armor/defense down to 3360 armor) I thought it wouldn't really be that good due to diminishing returns that the high armor already goes through.
have you used many enchantments? I'd love some more feedback on then to gather more opinions and build a constructive suggestion. I hate it when a game feels like you are funneled to just 1 or two "viable builds" because it becomes stale fast
well its dps was cut almost in half because it double procced or something like that and they fixed it, thus making it yet another mediocure weapon enchant no one takes seriously lol, but a bug fix is a bug fix i guess

some people will say change it to plague which is bad idea
coz u go from perfect to greater enchant which is huge lost in ad
who is going to complain lol.

A Greater Plaguefire is still the equivalent of a perfect anything-else.
