Like the title says...
For GWF you pretty much have 3 choices:
- Strength
- Dexterity
- Constitution
I don't PvP at all so Constitution is a poor choice for me since it has no power.
So it all comes down to Str (+4% DMG and 298 Deflection) VS Dex (+4% Crit and 298 Crit rating).
I tend to think that Dexterity would bring more DPS to the table and the also the 2% deflect you get from 4 dexterity would cover the 298 Deflect rating you get from Str belt.
What do you guys/girls think?
I've been running CON+ first simply because it increases Damage and Survivability in PvP, and slightly increases PvE damage, But I've also been working on leveling the STR+ belt for PvE. I think for me it will give more DPS because my crit is already over 4500.
If you have Higher power and lower crit DEX+ is probably the way to go, However I will eventually pick up the DEX belt to try out, after I complete the STR belt.
STR gives Deflect (less usefull than Critical Strike), Power and ArP.
2% Crit = 4% Damages (when it crit exactly for 2%).
So the stats decide.
How on earth does 2% more critical _chance_ equal out to 4% more damage? It simply does not.
Here is a whole guide written by Kaelac to balancing your crit vs power in order to maximize your damage. crit-power-and-dps-the-numbers-guide/
To simplify the guide, once your critical strike rating hits a certain point (which will depend on how much power and crit severity you have) it is more valuable to put more stats into power rather than critical strike.
