Neverwinter's Lead Designer Chris Matz talked about future plans with Lore Hound:
Well, just on the horizon looms the conclusion of the Tyranny of Dragons storyline in Module 5, with a visit from a particularly powerful enemy you may have heard of before. Beyond that, we’ve got lots of plans, and have been working closely with Wizards of the Coast to see where we’re going to take the story. We plan to keep adding more gear, more dungeons, more classes, more races, and more adventures. We are planning on something BIG for Module 6, but we’ll have more news to share on that front later – after the conclusion of Module 5!

Edit: Ah thought the familiar enemy was for mod 6. Unless they edited it.
Other than that, it seemed pretty self-congratulatory. Any other subject than "everything is great" (things in the future, the foundry, etc) was just using a lot of words to say...virtually nothing.
Would've thought tiamat would be the mod 5 boss.
I hope, Tiamat for a 16K Dungeon and I would be happy.
* Note: for the ppl that will complaing about, "omg, 16k isn't the average GS, why would devs worry about them", well... because Tiamat is a dam epic godly dragon, he can't be downgraded to trash just because average ppl want to kill him, I wan't epic PvE content in this game that make u feel epic, I hope too that there will be something like that sometime.
WTB Class Reroll please
However, since I have abandoned ToD, the official content for mod 5 means nothing to me. I am really only interested in what bugs they fix, and whether they add anything to the Foundry. I hope they do.
Waterdeep? With Undermountain?
Once you get that far south, though, you're leaving the "Neverwinter-ness" of the game.
A tarrasque fight would likely melt the server and every player's PC; you'd need a hundred players or more just to stand a chance! It's sort of like what Douglas Adams wrote about space: it's big, really, big, unbelievably big, ... A tarrasque could swat rocs aside like butterflies and eat Tolkien's oliphaunts whole. It's THAT big.
Unfortunately all of the really epic or classic places aren't in Abeir-Toril:
A1 - Slave Pits of the Undercity -- Greyhawk
S1 - Tomb of Horrors -- Greyhawk
S2 - White Plume Mountain -- Greyhawk
S3 - Expedition to the Barrier Peaks -- Greyhawk
T1-4 Temple of Elemental Evil -- Greyhawk
B1 - In Search of the Unknown -- Mystara
B2 - Keep on the Borderlands -- Mystara
B3 - Palace of the Silver Princess -- Mystara
X2 - Castle Amber -- Mystara
Even Q1 - Queen of the Demonweb Pits is in Greyhawk. Generally speaking all of the really classic modules are either in Greyhawk (AD&D) or Mystara(BX).
Unfortunately I have little knowledge of Forgotten Realms lore. What might exist in FR that could fit the bill?
Edit -- Not Oerth, Mystara! Greyhawk is in Oerth.
Blood Magic (RELEASED) - NW-DUU2P7HCO
Children of the Fey (RELEASED) - NW-DKSSAPFPF
Buried Under Blacklake (WIP) - NW-DEDV2PAEP
The Redcap Rebels (WIP) - NW-DO23AFHFH

Usually a storyline needs to be solid, linked, and touching/impressive, and goes together with serious contents. That makes players feel they are really experiencing an epic story themselves.
I would like to be able to fight tiamat as well.
OMFG, I'd have a nerdgasm if I could actually go to waterdeep and see undermountain.

Performing ritual pony sacrifices to Tiamat to earn favor with the RNG Gods since 2014.
...
Like you said --> I believe it is Tiamat, because it appeared on Tyranny of Dragon's Trailer
Here is the trailer link on Youtube:

Though we might have Valindra back since her Phylactery was not destroyed
I agree fighting Tiamat would be so cool
Other than that ... it is cool to know that the devs have started on the next module as well as the overhaul of TR & DC
The golden whip seems to be a conjured weapon that it can disappear and re-appear.
lol the hell..
Why is Knox a GF in that video, he's normally a GWF.
It is normal because Sergeant Knox is a Paladin but the Devs split them into GWF & GF
Also you should say it the knox way .. What in the Nine Hells

Anything other than that is a big letdown
Doing my 4th artifact weapon now hoping I get the one I want and need. So far I spent like 3m on 9000 RP because that's what I can do with the sucky weapons I don't want or need. Feels so fantastic to play NW sometimes.
This pretty much. A foundry update big enough to make it what should have been from the start.
Sorry that is how RNG works. I did over 100 runs of Epic TOS back in the day and never got my chest. I pulled the artifact weapon I wanted the first go round.
Not to be terse but do you really need to keep posting this in other threads.
I am looking forward to what is in store for us. I also realize they do not always have a say when certain stuff has to come out, but are told this has to be release on a certain date. Make it happen.
Does that mean ...
Paladin is a GWF/GF --> HYBRID Tank/DPS
OH WAIT ! FIRST ! GWF changes.
wouldnt really mind if they made GWF's in paladins, though i really doubt it
but mod 6 should have had a new class anyway, and, sadly, based on IWD im afraid it will be the hippie treehugger
Nah. Not a new class before GWF changes. If they make a Paladin, like an hybrid tank/dps or heal/dps or tank/heal, be sure I'll cry if there are no changes for GWF.
I'd rather new things like new paragons, possibilities to complete all the heroïcs feats, or even new Trees about the races, than one more class.
I expect more classes or more paragon paths... I really don't know what it could be.
I completely agree.
