Account Server Maintenance and Astral Diamond Exchange

Greetings adventurers,
With tomorrow’s maintenance, we will be performing an account server maintenance as well. This will likely increase the amount of expected downtime to 3 hours and it will also require us to cancel all orders from the Astral Diamond Exchange. While this may sound drastic, it is a necessary component of this account server maintenance. This procedure will not result in the loss of Astral Diamonds or Zen. These currencies will be returned to players’ Exchange Balances, which can be viewed by bringing up the AD Exchange menu. After the maintenance, players will need to repost their orders on the exchange. We realize that this procedure will result in players losing their positions in the order queue for the AD Exchange and we apologize for this inconvenience. As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Yeah that's what I was thinking although obviously the developers don't want to put it in those words xD It'll be interesting to see how far the backlog goes back up over the next few days.
It's been more than 10 days since people that had AD from the exploit got banned. All their offers have been filled long time ago so I believe there is no "ill-gotten AD" now.
Also, I heard that exploit has been discovered almost as soon as the resonators were released so I would not be expecting zen rising in price too much. People want fast AD so they will lower the cost by 1 and undercut each other. That's how it's always been

Yeah that is a problem but maybe they have been active in tracking down alts that were being used to store AD from the resonator thing and banning them , probably more a hope than anything else but you never know , guess we will find out when we see how far the backlog rises over the weekend.
Perhaps, we can even lay the whole "Cryptic wanted the backlog to happen, out of greed" debate to rest, as well.
I would absolutely love if the forums filled up with people crying "I got banned/on probation and can't use the ZAX" tomorrow.

Akro, it sounds like you are trying to make the ZAX reset sound normal. However I can't imagine that it is. It's related to the backlog and an attempt to reduce it. The reason I say this is that STO is going down at the same time for maint, and their ZAX is not getting reset. Since accounts are shared between all games your statement seems (hopefully) unintentionally misleading. Call things what they are and be brutally honest with us. I think in the end most of us would appreciate that more than what seems to be public relations speak.
Absolutely. They never had to reset the ZAX on any account server maintenance. Why is this one special? My first thought was that they just do not want to tell the truth.

Thats the problem, PWE is never honest with use.
The Summer Festival doesn't end until Sept 11 according to the calendar.
However, the even will continue with the "Height of Summer" event. Last year this provided double rewards of certain things to help make the higher priced items easier to get.

And with my luck I gonna need a week to actually farm the GEMS because I ran the skirmish 70 times now without a single GEM.
With the ZAX reset the wait time should be significantly less than it is now as long as you log on shortly after maintenance finishes and repost your order for zen. Who knows? Maybe you'll even be able to get it in less than 2 days!

Not to mention there is nothing wrong with becoming rich by legal means. Geez, why so many people think all wealthy people had to cheat/exploit to get money, or even if they didn't, that they are evil only because they have it?
