Is it worth upgrading Iouno Stone to level 30?
My Iouno is level 30 and all slots are unlocked and he doesn't do any damage so I don't quite see the purpose to upgreading, am I right?
Thanks

Upgrading Augment Companions provides with bonus stats ratings which is very good, some might not like it for the cost wise but for some people who are min/max pve players it makes a whole difference and it is nice to have

umm so I see the last gear slot of my Iouno Stone unlocked at level 25 and it should be an icon but some are having problems to inseart one in there, http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?175871-Companion-Icon-Slot
Can you recommend me what correct gear goes in there? Thanks :)

Moreover Ryonas which bonus stats are you talking about? I don't see in the info of the Iouno that it says something about giving a special bonus at level 30 so I guess only the gear in this type companion makes a difference.
If the last gear slot is actually unlocked (not a bug) so I don't see any reason to updating it to level 30.

I upgraded one of my character's Ioun Stone of Allure from Blue Quality to Purple Quality and still feel that it was well worth it. In my opinion, the only companions worth upgrading to Purple Quality are either the Ioun Stone of Allure or Might, or the Cat from the Wondrous Bazaar.

Companion's max rank (Quality) isn't what unlocks the gear and runestone slots. What unlocks them is their actual level that they are by gaining experience and being ranked up. The third runestone slot unlocks when they reach
rank 15 and the third equipment slot unlocks when they reach rank 25. The final power of a companion, unless specifically stated otherwise, unlocks when they reach rank 30. Again, these do not unlock simply by being a specific quality. They unlock when the companion has reached that rank by gaining experience and being ranked by pressing the button to rank them up.

    Ok several issues.

First with your equipment slot issues.

    Is the pet rank 25?
Are you using an Icon not a Symbol?

Second the bonus stats are the stats from the gear that you equip it with. It's basically the same as your character wearing those items, you just don't get a gearscore increase from them. Ioun Stones and other augment pets will never ever attack or perform any other action. They augment your character. This is much better as it means the horrible companion AI isn't involved. It is also better because the slow attack rate of pets means that even in the best gear their dps is pretty much meaningless.

    Hope this helps.

Yep, it gives you a bit of bonus stat. So it is worth.

I don't see ANYTHING at all that unlocks at level 30 on the Ioun Stone of Allure. There is nothing in the description about a level 30 feature.

I'd say leave it at rank 25 and don't waste the 700k+ AD on upgrading to level 30.

I forget what it is, but it's a % more of the stones base stats. I found it to be well worth it on my SW.

That's something I"ve never heard before. You learn something every day :) I'll have to try that out on the preview server and see if it's worth the extra AD with only r7s in it.

    No it's it's base stats.

Like a lot of things, the answer varies depending on circumstances. Especially with a stone of Allure, it's a really marginal improvement for a lot of money. However, if you have nothing else left to upgrade, why not? However for a lot of people, there are better cost/benefit upgrades out there that they should look at first.

So how high do they get? blue Ioun stone of allure has all 10s at blue. They'd have to get insanely high to be worth the several 100k to upgrade them.

On previous discussion people seemed to find it not worth it. I think in generally there is so much you can do with your AD that you should prioritise first. Basically in the end I think the mass amount of people shouldn't bother.

Augment companions when upgraded to Epic quality they grant bonuses

For ion stone of allure that is 4% bonus stat rating and active bonus upgrade << I got an ion stone rank 25 and there is a button called upgrade quality that mentions what you will get when upgrading the stone to epic quality>>

For cat 10% bonus stat rating and active bonus from 100 deflect to 200 deflect << I got a cat epic quality on my cleric when i get home i can post its screenshot if needed >>

ion stone of might << i did not own it before >> so if any one has it please post concerning it

Upgrading a Radiance from green to purple tripples the active bonus, but since it's only about 150 deflect and lifesteal,

It's actually +165, not a game-changer, but it is at least useful. I don't really find the active bonus from the allure to make a significant difference - the radiance one works better for me.

I am at work atm so i don't have access to my home machine but i went to gateway and got screenshot , though for the cat i cant get access to its epic bonus stats but screenshot it so that i am not lying to others when i say i got it leveled up to 30
for stone and it provides bonus stat rating
i did not level it since it is on my alt not the main character but i can still view what epic ion stone would have

    here is the screenshot

I have the wiki in my quick launch. Landed on the other page that just describes the stone itself with no additional info. That's why I asked here instead. Sorry and thanks xD

I absolutely never make similar mistakes, so shame on you :)

Upgrading Ioun Stone of Allure to purple will increase its base stats by 3% (base stats don't include any jewelry or runestones), the (bugged) slow chance from 7% to 10% and it costs 750K.

If you think it is worthy, go for it, but I personally think there are far better ways to spend that amount of ADs.
