There is a forge in the center of the west(?) of the camp. There is a guy there who will give you a quest (that includes giving you a gauntlet.) I think it is the second or third day that you do the zone. You do it once, and then in your campaign progression there is a thing to unlock it so that you can continue to do it.

Yep. The very first time you do the Dread Ring, Knox will send you to speak with Rath Modar after doing the 3 dailies, who will give you a free gauntlet and a quest to open an arcane coffer. You are then sent back to Knox who then sends you to your first Lair. After that, you will need to Unlock the gauntlet in your Dread Ring Campaign Window (far right Column).
You can then forge the highest quality gauntlet once per day that you have Unlocked by using the forge behind Rath Modar. When you finish Unlocking each gauntlet, you'll automatically get a quest to speak to Rath Modar who then has you forge your first gauntlet of that type.
You may only have one gauntlet at a time and may only forge one per day.

Thanks for clarifying... I have 14 chars who do this every dang day (except mon and fri) and I still couldn't remember the detail.. LOL
Edit- I can not tell you how many times in DR's early days, that I defeated the boss and then realized I forgot to get my gauntlet.. it was a running joke in the guild I was in at the time.. XD

No problem. I have over 25 characters and 4 of them just hit 60 with about 10 or more having been 60 for quite a while now, so this was all still fresh on my mind. Yeah, I used to forget to forge my gauntlets too...
Thanks guys I see. Zebular, you have 25 characters and 4 already level 60? How can you keep up I have 7 and I am swamped!
Actually... I just counted and I have exactly 25 characters. I have 15 level 60's. 7 characters are waiting to be played at level 4, hanging out in Midsummer collecting Favors. One character is newly made at level 1 still on the beach, and then the last two are in their 20's and 30's.
I usually choose two or three characters a week and work on only those, except for my main wizard, 'Old Zeb' -- I usually always run him through IWD and ToD now that he's finished both Sharandar and Dread Ring. I run him through collecting the dailies from DR/Sharandar though and when he has all the quests those areas offer, I knock them out in one session as a way to level some of his many companions.
I rarely actually "level" a character anymore past level 10/11. When they get done with Blacklake and reach level 10 or 11, they then become Leadership and then at 11 also Invocation characters until they get into their late 50's. Usually around 57 or 58, I go to Whispering Caverns with them and get them to 60. This way, I can still have characters leveling up while I am focusing on my existing level 60's. Only two of my level 60's have fully completed DR and Sharandar, so I will always have some character to work on, and I love all my characters (not equally of course).
I don't let myself get fooled into the notion that I "have to work them" every day, as that is not my cup of tea. Instead, that happens on whim while I just have fun mucking about. This keeps me from getting burned out and from having nothing to do.
