For those who have specced their SW down the Damnation line, having a "perma-puppet" can be a blessing and a curse. In certain situations where you have to activate a device to enter an area (I'm thinking dungeons, as well as the final encounters in the modules), your puppet gets trapped behind the "wall" and left out of the fight. The quickest workaround to this conundrum would be a command to de-spawn your puppet, so you can re-cast him once in the combat arena.
Ideally I'd almost like to see a mini-bar similar to your companion's next to your profile pic, perhaps with a button to dismiss him.
Yes, I completely agree. Actually, if any companions could have a pet bar (similar to the one in WoW/SWTOR), where you could set the pet to active, passive or aggressive, issue attack or recall commands etc., that would make them a lot less hit and miss, too. At a bare minimum, though, you're right, puppets should be dismissable rather like any other companion.
I would love a more robust "pet" system for sure! At a bare minimum however we need to be able to dismiss the puppet so he doesn't get left out of the fray.

I'm for it. When not in a lair, I sometimes 'switch char' and come right back in, to clear my puppet and infernal spheres. Just can't always do that without risk of having to start over.
Oh, and the other thing.. yeah I finished Dread Spire earlier today.. and then the puppet came out from behind the pillar at the entrance and asked 'so where's the fight?' LOL

Yep, same thing happened to me, which more or less prompted me (or more like, reminded me) to post this thread. LOL
