Anyone of us doing PvP Dom right now?

Idk.. i feel very discouraged to even do the daily right now..
We are CW's food even in the tenacity patch..

Now CWs even got more control power... So, what do you guys think in DC's standpoint for PvP nowadays?

    1) Thaum CW: can potentially kill you by using Ray of Frost alone because you can't outheal the damage from Assailing Force.
    2) Opressor CW: perma CC you to death, especially those who slot Orb of Imposition (+75% control), you won't even be able to move a tiny bit.

The only way to survive is to hide from CWs and let your teammates to deal with them.
We have no effective CC or CC resist/immune abilities, and our healing sucks, we are officially the weakest class in the game in mod 4.

I can resist indefinitely versus most GF or GWF(that's new) or TR (, or DC), but CW kill me in seconds while I can do nothing but watch.

It became impossible to play without a good team to protect us. PUGing is even more frustrating in mod4 than it was.

The game is not running correctly for me on my other toons and I dont feel like playing the game in this bugged state right now.
    Suggestions to improve NW:
    - Dualspec
    - Better rewarding foundry and foundry pvp maps
    - Custom PvP leagues with leaderboards instead of the current 'matchmaking'.
    - Armory
    - make jumping cost stamina (to reduce hopping in pvp)

It's a new meta. CWs have always been something like the anti-DC (powerful debuffs and AoE daze/prone vs our buffs/mitigation/healing) but with the DoT/control fixes CWs are a lot more dangerous in mod4. The meta is still evolving, there's still too many unknowns (new arties, overload enchants, gear, etc) but atm Hammer of Fate and Oghma's Token of Free Movement have been invaluable to me in PvP.
You there. New to the game? Feeling overwhelmed? Maybe you think getting to end-game is impossible for a casual player like yourself, or maybe you just need to be around a community that helps each other stay sane and competitive with the latest news, current trends, random chitchat and most of all LEGIT (that is, we try to keep things fair) gameplay. Not having issue with CW damage, but just had to adapt to the CC. Do not walk in the snow and making sure to use my slides better. Just have to up your game. Kind of enjoy it a little more right now in domination. DC/DO tank spec was pretty easy mode up until the last two modules. That it requires more skill now is making me work. Also not all CW are lights out either.

Have about 25 mixed domination highlights in my signature. Most from module 4. Only got my gear score over 15k yesterday with my first 2 pieces of black ice gear.

You can't use your slides better. You can't "up your game." Icy rays will root you whether you slide or not. Then it's CC city for the next four seconds of your life.

I don't have that much time to play atm, on top of the fact that getting setup for mod4 with artifact gear etc is going to cost a ton of AD, which I don't have. But anyways PVP is completely broken atm until they fix the lightning overload enchant bug, incredibly stupid.

With my ice gear, rank 8 enchants, maxed artifacts, feats, etc... i was a tank for pvp. Gear Score was close to 18k. Almost 32k HP, Defense over 5k, Protection almost 11k. High deflect, regen, etc...... I could hold a node with no problem in Mod 3. In Mod 4, my HP melts away like butter in seconds. Since we don't have much dps, our only resolve was to be a tank in Mod 3 - which i was.

With low dps and low chance to survive long enough to mitigate incoming dmg, Mod 4 makes DC's useless in pvp. I quit all PVP and put on my High Prophet gear for pve.

PVP is horribly unbalanced. I hope the Dev's make this a playable pvp class again soon.

Heh you make it sound like the DC is broken, which is laughable in the greater scope of things.

PvP is broken. It's official - people are self-resurrecting and some are running around one-manning well-geared teams using broken overload enchants. Class doesn't matter - between broken items (overload enchants, enchantments like Elven Battle still not working, broken core stat mechanics, broken core class mechanics - are the various control resists from wisdom/companions/artifacts even working properly?) all you need to own in PvP atm is a willingness to exploit various bugs.

PvP has more or less become unplayable, or at least it has unless you're willing to ride the exploit train.

I guess we have similar gear/stats, surviving build according to your post. I could easy hold alone node in mod3 against any other dps (most of the time ofc there is exeptions), survive with more dps tagging on me at 2 when we fight and manage to heal and buff others from my team. Tried pvp after mod4 and it was ridiculous. I cant accept that when using defensive, surviving, high hp/def/regen build I’m going to die as soon as I leave camp before I can cast 1 skill. What’s the point of even having DC in pvp if we are not dps, we do not kill and even with defensive build we cant survive to even cast heal? As much as I love playing healer and I’ve gone tru all patches in last year that make us weaker and weaker and other classes more and more OP, I got to the point where I feel like I cant do anything for myself or my group in pvp and its better for them if they don’t have me. I was looking in forums with hope that someone found solution to this, but it seems like with every new change cryptic tried to remove DC from game.

I still didn't salvage my profound (I use it in heroic encounters since HP set gives the party too much buff:)
I only try 20Vs20 gaunt PVP now but even this is bad
even in module 3 we used to be good class for that PvP, since there is no limit to how many we can heal and buff
but now even that is bad.
I die to fast and I can hardly contribute to the group

Just thought I'd scrape and share some data from the leaderboards. Pretty much what you'd expect at the moment.

    Aug 22, 2014
    Top: 100 % 200 % 400 % 800 %
    DC: 1 1 5 2 14 3 27 3
    SW: 0 0 0 0 2 0 10 1
    TR: 18 18 43 21 78 19 155 19
    GF: 10 10 19 9 44 11 101 12
    GWF: 18 18 33 16 66 16 126 15
    HR: 13 13 29 14 56 14 118 14
    CW: 40 40 71 35 140 35 263 32

SW's number can be tolerated, since it is a new class.. but DC? kinda laughable yes? shows us how less people play it.. can probably clues to how unsatisfying playing this class is.

I just want to see healing count for score in dom matches. I guarantee I've helped assure my team's victory many many times. Even when we lose I still am able to support my team to perform a lot better than they would with another DPS character.

So far, not too bad. CWs are waaaay OP at the moment, but they are still glass cannons. If I get stuck with one alone, I'm dead. That's just how it is. But... I try not to get stuck with one alone.

I use in-party voice a lot to help direct everyone, call out targets, try to keep points locked down, etc. A new OP CW is always target #1. Any HR trying to pop Aimed Shots is target #2. Everyone else... meh. Except for the top-end players, I can still face tank GWF/GF/TR/HR long enough for my team to kill the enemy CW (which takes about 5 seconds) and return to help. Even in Mod 3, I could easily survive the GWF 1-2-3 combo with at least 75% health.

One other thing I try to do... if I'm running with a battle buddy or with multiple teammates, and there's a CW on the horizon, I always move around to keep a teammate blocking the CW's line of sight to me. This way, I can easily keep teammate(s) alive while the CW gets toasted.

It's really just a matter of changing how you play to accommodate the new derpy hold-one-button-down CW mode.

One thing I do agree on is the need for DC-specific achievements for PvP. Heal the most teammates, get the most assists in (e.g.) 75 matches, etc.

I know that you will all laugh at me but i found a new encounter that has done a lot for me in pvp prophecy of doom, when my team is going to kill someone i throw it at them so i can build my ap very quickly and then when there is one of the classes that has low health and poor armor i use hammer of fate on them and prophecy of doom and switch to divine mode the extra damage you do is a lot. I have to admit that i stopped trying to fight gf but i have sent more than on tr running for his life I still die a lot to control wizards, but almost killed some gwf and sometime i win if i am able to dodge their stun. I do not end up first but second in kills more often.

Not at the moment, I'm reading the forum. :p

Buit when I go in there, I find that often I am suddenly dead in seconds, when before I could survive for quite a while before being taken out by a Perma-TR, an OP HR or being sandwiched between a GF and a GWF.

Och! Now, I sometimes survive only 3 seconds when one of those Inferrrrnal Wuzzards are aboot!

    PvP is a GRRUUUUUUUEsome task!

Especially when I use a Nimbus of Light Daunting Light followed by Hammer of Fate and kill myself because of that broken enchant interacting with some other classes powers and feats in a completely unplanned and broken manner.

    Och!

Captain Jack here..... I have completed all of the Icewind Dale tasks. In Domination I have completed all tasks except Triple Kills (currently 27 of 40 completed). In Gauntlgrym all tasks are completed except Triple Kills and NPC's. (currently 18/50 Triple Kills and 469/1000 NPC's). This new mod would be fine if it limited the number of same class types in PvP (as in no more than one per team). I used to be able to manage 2-3 triple kills per week, but now since this new mod opened I have only managed a single triple kill in PvP and that was versus a team without a CW.

There is too much control and DPS seems to have increased. Healing is easily outpaced by DPS and control now. PvP groups now are full of SW's and CW's. Good luck getting most healing in PvP with the new SW.

Hey Captain Jack! not sure if you remember me from in front of GG doors. its good to see you are still fighting the good fight. I agree after Mod4 its much much harder getting a triple kill, but even before it still needed some luck that someone else didn't get a kill. Theres been so many double + assists. Also for domination I find that I get them more often around 2-4pm ET then other times (hope this helps).

I get happy when I get a double kill (usually because of my greater blue dragon overload, lol. I'm a DC, so yes, I'll use anything allowed to give me an edge), but yeah, triple kills seem very very rare indeed. I think I have 4 total.

I do still do Dom matches, and sometimes I even come out very high up. I almost always come in the top half of the scoreboard now unless its a completely one sided match against my team.

That said, I do pvp for fun, so its only occasionally and usually only to complete my dailies for it.

I have almost 47k HP, 4k defense, 19% tenacity, and depending on my artefacts, anywhere from 1.6k regen to 2k.

I die crazy fast to good CWs and HRs. A DPS-focused GF will kill me.

On the other hand. anything under 10-12k GS, I will destroy with red glyphs and my lazor.

PvP has lost much of its appeal to me. I'd much rather lose the ability to kill stupid, low geared players and gain the ability to sustain a reasonable amount of time vs. good players. I feel like dead weight when I queue with a guild mate or two.

My only hope is that mod 5 will bring back some of that mod 2-3 sustainability.

Seriously velynna.. your comment regarding this mod 4 help me understand more about the current state of BiS endgame DC in pvp.. Even mod 3 had hurt the ability to rotate between nodes using mounts, which seriously impact DCs... Also, it is ironic how DC which main stat is Wis granting the most Control Resist, actually suffer & easily prone the most from CC.

This is exactly how I feel about PVP lately. I know what healer can bring to group, but I know what any other class would add in my place.
Yes, we can kill 10-12k gs, but not only that we cant kill equally geared people, but we have less to no chance to survive in 1vs1 aganist decent dps. Why do I have to invest my time and money in maxing out everything if in the end I'll end up with character that can be killed by CW with 6s.

So well I'm back after a few months break and pvp is a bit in a weird state right now.

My DC is more than ever completely dependant from the team I play with. If they're bad i'll die a lot and there will be nothing I can do. If there's some hope then i can probably make a difference. There aren't many classes able to take 60% more damage without nasty consequences. People die a lot faster when I'm here. I guess that's enough for me to think I'm doing something cool.

I can also heal/save people from litteraly almost dead to full HP in 10s or so. Admittedly I have a full power/crit 16K cleric. I guess it's help.

Short answer is that I can't heal stupid but when the team has some okay members I'll stick with them and help them the best I can and usually we win. I play a fully support cleric and without any okay player I get slaughtered because support is support, not hero. But when there's a good player, we do awesome stuff.

Side note, I've tried the red dragon glyph stuff yesterday. This thing is as game breaking as tenes back then, when they were awfully OP. I can compete with CWs in terms of kills with that and punishing light + FF. I kicked some rogue asses and killed a couple of GWFs. It's fun but ultimately I'm just using something doubling my damage. I didn't check if burning guidance triggered it. That's my plan for today. If it does well I've found a way to completely break any sense of game balance as a cleric, and my DC will be a damage monster!
