doohickey wont fly around my head

im a cw and i cant get my doohickey to fly around my head. its in item tray 1 (button 3) what am i doing wrong? is my ioun stone or orb disrupting it?

    is the character in question female?
    The doohickey is a technical masterpiece that can be broken with very little effort.

    i think its a CW thing as my orb goes weird when i un/equip doohickey,,,

    My orb floats above my (female) right shoulder no problem.

    What does an orb have to do with the doohickey? ... anyhow, I have a doohickey on one of my female characters(DC), and no, it is not flying around her.

    Yes, the doohickey does not show up on female toons.

    What bloody doohickey? The only thing floating on my female CW is her orb. (And her gorgeous, lustrous, shiny hair, but that's another story).

    just to confirm; is there any CWs who can get the doohickey flying around thier head?

    On my GWF it doesnt fly around my head when I have the fashion clothes (sunite garb, yeti hunter, etc) Maybe thats WAI, but it makes me sad. Sorry for you cws if it never flies around :(

    Really? I spent a lot of AD making a Doohickey for my female CW, but haven't bound it yet to try it (thus, I wasn't aware of the limitations).

    I'm not impressed.

    Guess it's going to the AH ...

    I have a female GF that got Doohickey when it 1st came out, I never have seen it float around me. A few weeks ago I rolled a female SW and guess what--- ?! NO floating Doohickey!

    o_O Only men can have their Doohickeys flaunted? I hope the Dev team sorts this out for us because I wanna see me shiny gadget! XD

    I have seen MALE cws who have doohickeys flying around their head.

    I have not seen any female cws who can do the same thing.

    Yeah it is visible for male CW while in Armor but isn't visible when they are in vanity outfit , however female CW cannot do anything to make the doohikey show...

    Nope, doohickeys only show for male characters. I don't know whether they show for every race and class, just that they never appear when in fashion clothes (similar to your weapon - this is probably intended and no one sees it as a problem) and never on female characters. QQ! I got one for my cw as well. Probably not using it until they fix it. I just hope that is before Wonders of Gond comes around next year or so...

    As for anyone here who doesn't know what we are talking about, a Doohickey is a potion slot item that actually appears around your character. It looks like a brownish machine that flies around you, even making rapid flapping sounds / small steam engine sounds. You can find them in the AH under Consumables, or look at the wiki, if you want to know more.

    Roll male character and you have your problem solved. The real problem which should be considered with doohickey is that it can not be found in ah. I made additional doohickeys to earn on them and i can't. That is really frustrating and it should be fixed as soon as possible.

    On my old laptop (low graphic settings) I do not see my doohickey. On my desktop, I do.

    Yeah I think started off in Consumables, then went to Misc- after that it landed under Refinement. Total mind puck XD

    In case it might help…

    The Doohickey does not fly around my character’s head, but I have seen it on other characters (male).

    Some say it is gender/race/class/hardware-based.
    My character: Female, Drow, Control Wizard, GPU: GeForce GT 620M

    I have tried de-equipping/re-equipping it. When re-equipping it, my orb seems to ‘re-deploy.’

    Some have said that the Doohickey doesn’t show with fashion outfits and that this is good. I collected the Wonders of Gond items assuming I could use them all at the same time. It would be nice to have the Doohickey show while my character was in her blacksmith gear.

    Obviously, having it show AT ALL would be great, even if it’s just with my standard gear.

    Maybe an option to enable/disable visuals would be good here, like with head and neck items.
