If a thread has not been posted on in over thirty days it is considered a dead topic and more than likely has outdated or inaccurate information. In fact the thread you bumped while giving the exact same error message was due to server issues back in May and is not the issue you are experiencing.
The very first log in I made today gave a 'too many log ins' error. Any idea how to fix the problem or why it happened?
I've had this same issue happen twice over the past week or so , I put a ticket into support and I'm waiting to hear a reply , if it is somebody else trying to get onto my account and support tell me so I'll PM you and let you know so you can change passwords or whatever.
Edit - actually I just checked my email and I got a pretty useless reply about making sure I entered my username correctly and no information about whether anybody else is trying to get access to my account like I asked...
Edit 2 - Updated my support ticket so it explains the problem more clearly , I don't even know if they can tell if another ip other than the usual one has been trying to access an account but I asked , now the waiting game.

. . .They can tell. I had this happen to me also several weeks ago and specifically requested that they check my account for suspicious activity. They reported back that there was no other accesses made to my account besides the one IP. It turned out to be an error in the login system that caused it. It cleared up after a few hours.
Just tried myself to log in. First time went in and adjusted some graphics settings, logged out to apply everything and then tried to relog and it comes up with the same issue of 'Too many login attempts: please try again later'.
Tried logging in twice more, and the same. Bang goes my NW experience today, if, as the mod says, it cleared up after a few hours......
EDIT :- Tried logging into the Gateway and it comes up with invalid username and password..........
Trying to log in now and it the lil symbol just keeps rotating.
IP ban for what reason though. If I had already logged in to adjust graphics, then relogged 30 seconds later, what possible reason would there be for an IP ban?
My wife is also getting the same problem on her pc, and we aint hacking, abusing or otherwise tampering with NW, there isnt any point lol.
But am able to go into the forums and reply here......weird.....
Evferytime i click the neverwinter icon the patcher comes up but keeps saying unable to connect and it retries upto 5 times then fails never had this problem before any ideas how i can fix this quickly??????? thanks all:p
12 hours later (give or take 30minutes) I am still unable to log in to my account in Neverwinter. (Too many login attempts: please try later).
I have tried to login 6 times over the past 12 hours, managed to get in once, noticed all my ardent coins were lost, invoked on 3 toons, went to make a drink, and came back to find the game crashed out.......
Tried to relog after that and we are back to square one. Ticket has been sent in.
Oh yes, have tried all the various relogs, reboots, uninstalls, turn off/on firewalls, antivirus, landing lights etc to no avail, so no preaching on that path pls lols
I haven't been able to log into the game either. I have been trying off and on for hours. After entering username, password I then click "play" and the same message appears :
Too many attempts; please try again later.
It's frustrating and sad I was hoping to take part in the event today

Has the issue persisted for a period of time or did you make this post as soon as it happened?

I normally switch to my university's VPN if that happens. You can also try vpnbook for example.
