Do you crybabies comprehend the concept of what was intended to be a "dungeon run"? You don't gather around 20 mobs "to hit the poor GF", you pull trashpacks in 5-8 enemies at once and deal with them pack by pack. You Don't Pull Two Rooms. You don't. Understand? That's not how it works. You're not meant to pull 20 mobs. You mustn't pull 20 mobs. You should not do that. Don't do it. No. Just no.

I know that and you know that but PWE seems clueless. They put a 20 target cap on ET. And now that the new Guard meter has been tested we've seen that it last about 5 seconds and you still take damage through it. So the new GF is slower, less tanky, with less CC. and basicaclly designed to over-aggro and pull unecissary mobs.

Looks like most got nerfed and GF's got a buff (good).

But this made me smile:
"Unstoppable: Unstoppable now grants 5-10% damage resist when activated (down from 25-50%)"

Also, CW's can't CC everything now...maybe I'll be invited to a dungeon again...

ToD will be OUR content of glory.

Battle Crazed: Melee Attacks grant .6/1.2/1.8/2.4/3% more Life Steal. This effect stacks up to 5 times. Lasts 3 seconds.

I'm not sure this means a flat 3% life steal per stack or just 3% more of your life steal stat, though.

Usually that means 3% flat additive bonus. Which means that 5 stacks of 3% equal 15%, flat 5% from Tier1 melee feats add 5% more. Combined with some base 10% any sane person would try to aim for that would be some 30% LS total. Combined with DR Tier5 boon it will be quite close to 100% damage done drained as HP on occasional procs. "Press Fox's to heal yourself 15k HP".

HR changes are... well... freaking awesome. Only issue now is that I'll have to level two more alts as I want one of each type.

CW changes are a huge nerf to Spellstorm but barely touch Master of Fire. If anything MoF got a small buff on Fire powers. The massive nerf to Shard will hit all mages though. I fully expect some of these changes to be rolled back.

GF - odd. Big buff to threat generation/management, big nerf to mobility, possible nerf to survivability. I think Cryptic just don't understand tanking.

None of this is actually true.

GWF is now pretty balanced and will no doubt be further tweaked before these changes go live. CW Oppressor is fairly godly and I expect nerfs. Other CW changes are already being tweaked following initial feedback. GF changes are already being tweaked following initial feedback.

I expect changes to HR before it goes live as well. Archer is pretty balanced (great DPS, not much survivability if anything reaches your), Trapper seems OK, Combat may be OP for survivability and I expect the current rivers of tears on the feedback forums to result in nerfs.

I've not only seen the changes, I've been on the preview server and tested some of them. I've also been keeping up to date with the latest information from the devs about the reasons behind these changes and how they will be modified following initial feedback. In other words, I have actual information instead of just reading a few posts on the forum and going "waaaaah!".

Well, then why do you dispute what I say? and what ALL saying?
GWFs and CWs after those changes will be USELESS in PvP.
There will be only one class that will dominate, the HR

Because what you say is wrong, and not ALL people are saying this. Only serial QQers and sheep who follow the lead from whiners without doing any testing themselves.

If these changes hit live as they are now (and they WILL NOT) then Oppressor CW rules all in PvP. I don't care how fast an HR can heal if I can keep him frozen 100% of the time. And I can. Easily.

There are already modifications announced. These will be on the Test server either this week or next. I expect further modifications to follow. But then I'm not some whining sheep who just QQs all the freaking time like some.

HR is pretty **** good PvE-wise. I was easily duoing(with a semi-perma TR friend) the larger 3-5 man major encounters in Icewind pass using a hybrid combat/archery spec. Didn't even use potions or artefact and neither of us had BI or PvE gear. Constricting arrow feels much more useful in PvE with the strong root AOE being a better pairing than the single target triple stun with the melee counterpart.

It definitely is. I tested the trapper for several hours in Icewind and it plays really well, actually better than my Archer on live. Good control, pretty good DoT dps (thorned roots are quite damaging), better management of Aspect of the Serpent (five stacks are too complicated to manage on live) and better utilization of Rain of Arrows.
By the way AP generation is quite fast. In Sharandar I can refill the bar every two small groups of enemies (like troll + shaman + witherer).

Just for the record, so you know, that is the guy that started the "im not here to complain but OMG HR so OP NERF NOW porr me GWF!" thread.

Must be so true that godlike HR's are invited to dungeons and pvp premades all the time *le sigh*

Seeing a lot of good changes for archery DPS and Combat survival, but how about hybrid builds? are they viable or it will really be just one way or the other?

Ooouuch! you're right! it's me!!! Now you've gotten your moment of glory?

It's easy to talk when you have the most OP class in the game right?
I made a thread that has been understood only by smart people, children like you obviously wanted to overturn the meaning of that thread.
And the kids like you, are the bane of this game.
Enjoy this class bugged and OP.
Now I hope that you'll end up crying for that thread, rest assured, you will continue to be immortal and kill anything that moves, to the delight of you kiddies

0 Yay! moment of glory! do I get a medal or something?
1 Im just informing my partner what's he dealing with
2 I did read and comment that thread, you got that space up, go complain there, here its off topic
3 "the kids like you are the bane of the game" ha, I really tried to contribute to your thread, really, by pointing a couple of thing here and there that you got wrong in the mechanics, I dont think you can even remember which ones they where without looking back at it
4 Yes, the thread was understood by smart people, no, you're not among them, try to read the posts objectively and figure out the overall conclusion reached, thats what threads are for, If you just filter in what you want to hear youre not making any progress. That is called circlejerking
5 Ive seen bugs in the HR even after the changes,, like FoxShift not activating sometimes even if the power is available, thanks for pointing that out
6 Why would I cry? why would you love to see another person to cry over a game? Would that make you feel better of yourself?

At the moment I've just been playing around with Archery, but it looks like hybrid gameplay is intended to be the Trapper tree. The Archery and Combat trees no longer have the synergistic feats that linked them.

Why don't you try playing the class before you jump to all these insane notions... You just read possible changes and scream nerf nerf, how can you possibly know what the affects they might bring. Just cuz u got ur HAMSTER handed to you a few times by HR, it not that their OP its that you personally are UP. If you practiced more then you posted u might get a W every once in awhile.

You know in the other class forums I almost never see someone who prefers another class coming in to QQ in the middle of the thread. It only seems to happen in The Wilds and it always seems to be a GWF. Ladies and gentlemen I present the third fighter class: The Great Whining Fighter.......

And they come up with this video yet again. Gods, these derps are truly desperate.

Four CWs are poking HR with the fastest-hitting and lowest-damage-dealing atwill, Ray of frost, that triggers LOTS of Deflect hits and therefore lots of healing. HR has pure defensive gear that grants bonuses to healing per deflect. After that they upload a video and start acting as сhimpanzee tribe screaming HURR DURR NERF HR DURR DERP DERP.
Typical.

It's actually worse than that. All 4 are the new Oppressor build, which means they probably all have the feat that gives a 50% chance of an extra Chill stack with RoF. The game treats Chill as an extra attack. This is why RoF triggers so many procs - each tick actually has 2 chances for a proc (one for the damage and one for the Chill). So each CW is offering the HR at least 2 and 50% of the time 3 chances to deflect and heal. Per second. And the Chill stacks won't even be doing damage.

This is quite literally the BEST setup in the game for the HR to get heals.
