2 hours of celebration for first anniversary?

Maybe I haven't played enough of these games, but it seems to be that the "jubilee" isn't much of a celebration already just based on the time limit on it. Some of us players are adults with 9 to 5 jobs, cutting us out. Some are nowhere near the time zone that would allow us to play without losing sleep/job/something in the process. For it not to be at least 24 hours sounds like a very, very bad joke.

Or is it all a joke and I'm just missing something?

    The event will last a week, but the community manager is playing with players during those 90 minutes apparently.

    Hey everyone!

    So the event last all week, but I'll be in-game running the skirmish with players from 1:30-3PM Pacfic time on Thursday.

    Hope that clears things up.

    What I'm wondering is why there's no news about the event. That rather brief "preview" on the front web page says "We’ll be revealing full details of on the event, including all the rewards, next week before the event goes live", but I've seen nothing else. There's no thread for it in the News & Announcements forum, nothing here in General, the launcher just leads to that same Event Preview web page..... strange, that they don't seem to want to tell us about their own anniversary celebration.

    Give it ten minutes. They never put up a news post detailing an event until the event is live, just the teasers.
