4 Piece Bonus: Striking a foe with a control spell grants your allies near that foe Reckless Abandon which grants 113 Lifesteal for 10 seconds. Striking a foe with a non-control spell grants your allies near that foe Measured Spellcasting which grants 5% Critical Severity for 10 seconds. Allies affected by both receive double the benefits.

Btw, I have a PVorpal. With 3SW on pt makes 50+54+75=179% critical severity (without the 3% critSev bonus from IWD boon).
89k!!!! thats almost tooooo unbelievable..not even dream-able.
sure
No, that's reasonable. When you get in a group situation on a boss with a cleric debuffing the boss and buffing you, multiple wizards all debuffing with conduit of ice and Ray of Enfeeblement you can really hit hard. I'm pretty sure I've topped 100k.

It is...
When you get that many people Debuffing the Boss mobs.... and buffing everyone else's damage, things skyrocket in a hurry.
You can see it too in the High level HEs, the boss mobs will drop like stone, because you have about 40 people debuffing the things. Throw in GWFs Destroyers Single target damage and its just a slaughter.
Never underestimate those Clerics. They are invaluable....

Tell me about it, my highest ice knife hit came during a Remorhaz HE, 171,126. I use to not get the HV thing and always used SW, then one day I bit the bullet to try out the HV set and the difference for me was night and day, HV was far superior. In my reg group which includes a good buff/debuff DC and another CW with HV, 100k+ ice knife hits are not uncommon.

this was me when i saw the comment and the photo: O.O..for about 5 mins..well ima switch to HV on situations requiring me to
i did, however, try out mixing magelord with HV instead of SW with HV...now i have the same GS in ML+HV that i got from HV+SW...that is, when i had SW+HV my power was 4k (with ioun stone at lvl25) and GS came to 14, 162 or something...later on i tried ML+HV (before the shard punching and shutting NW door at me) and surprisingly..i still have 14,150 or 14,160 something GS but my power shot up from 4k to 5k (with ioun stone active obviously)..
but still 171,126!!...it couldn't have come without a P.Vorpal...not a chance it coulda come without it...
Yeah, I do use P. Vorpal, have a Dancing Blade for more crit severity, and use Elixir of Potency for added crit severity (don't know if I was using one here specifically), but the point I was trying to get across was that debuffing can boost damage a ton vs crit severity or gear score. I think p vorpal and it's +50% crit severity increases damage by 18% (someone check me if I'm wrong) whereas the debuff from HV set can increase damage by 30% for your whole party. I was able to hit that 171k because, like Silver said, a ton of people were debuffing.
The strat I used at end game was to wear the full HV set knowing I'd have that debuff (or buff) boost as a baseline, and then work on my other stats with enchantments and jewelry. Like I said before, to me the stats on the SW looked better to me than the stats on the HV, but once I tried out the whole set, I learned to deal with the stats in other ways. : )

I remember doing that once in Champion Gear, when I played a Spellstorm.
Of course the rest of the people in the Skirmish with me were seriously undergeared as well.

5%*3stacks*3cw in party with SW = 45%.
