Corrupted OR purfied belt?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I only see that you can get the belt piece from the PVP IWD campaign...fine I guess, but you have a "CHOICE" of either corrupted or purified? Please tell me this can drop from something or you can get it somewhere else, because it's dumb that you can only have one.

    Depends.

It's not a question about which to choose, but requesting verification that you can only ever get one of them.

This seems to be primarily designed to drive the completist collectors absolutely bonkers.

Yes it does , some pvpers in another thread said that the set bonus effect isn't even useful in pvp anyway ,if that is true it is doubly annoying that you have to pvp to get it .

We noticed this and are adding both belts to the drops in Kessell's Retreat.

Thanks for the response. If I cared about the icewind pvp campaign I'd hope for some other reward to claim, luckily I hate open pvp :D

    Awsome! Thank you.
Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.

So i wasted time ( and then money ) to farm people in open pvp to see them added in kassell skirm? So so so so happy about it

no you apparently "wasted" time and money to get 1 of them, plus the other things that naturally came with the other 2 boons.

Yes I too am pleased with this change to the drops in kessel, I was doing IWD pvp as well to get one, however getting one in kessel's may be a lot easier to then find out if the set bonus is truly worthwhile (I'm undecided at this point).

My Purfied set bonus has 60s cooldown. So... "chance to heal all nerby allies for 3000 HP" sounds great but it is only once per minute. And only "when taking black ice damage".. oh its useless bonus!

uhm u still need stuff like beholder hide, barbarian totem etc. for crafting black ice gear. also not everyone can enter kessels and not everyone can complete it, for those ppl hes still would be best option

Have to agree here. A tiny heal or 800 damage once every 60 seconds is a poor set bonus.

Can we maybe change this to some sort of stat bonus?

Maybe something that would make the pieces better then blue's you pick up by accident?

Yea kinda sounds that way, haven't had one drop in kessel's so not sure IF they do yet, if the set bonus was on ANY damage then it could be fair, considering that you only take blackice damage in IWD areas it make's the point of farming for one kind of bleh, and also take into consideration that once you get to those gear levels and have the skill to reliably do pretty much anything in the game it makes the gear kind of lame compared to quite a few others, I found that even for PVP its not really that great, the profound set is better (at at least 2 profound/2 vt is pretty good on my cw - extra power and thaum crit & armor pen).

So I guess that begs the question - why are we grinding? It's not all its claimed to be, perhaps with greater enchants it could be ok... What they failed to grasp I think is the set bonuses for sure, and what they also did was even though they raised the stats on 2 of four pieces, they also did not factor in that set bonuses from tier 2 gear are actually better and not only that they give you a higher gearscore, so therefore imho - not very tier 3.
