i'm a level 60 HR,playing this game for about a month,14k+ GS
a +5 piercing warden's longbow rises my GS more than what the Bow bought with drake seals does, even though it has like +161 more dmg
Q : which one is better? even if my GS goes down with the pink one(it sends power and AP stats lower),does that +161 more weapon dmg mean its actually stronger when you hit something/someone? cant really notice a difference
about enchantments
Q : after doing some search,i came upon 2 weapon options, plague fire and vorpal, which one is finally more worthy atm?
and, since i focus on being a melee/hybrid HR,does the effect proc while using melee stance as well? the daggers, cause the enchantment goes to bow
i go full aoe build, in most dungeons btw
and, is bronzewood any good? cause it seems the cheapest one out there
as an Eu player,im suffering from high ping, its mostly noticeable on pvp though(for example,i kite a lot yet still get knocked down by some GWF or GF,even though im so far away from them),netgraph shows 200-250 ping
Q : what does the Eu proxy on the option do? will it help improve the game perfomance? i think i tried to use it once and it started downloading like the whole game again(i think),so i stopped it
i've got 3 boons in DR,and just got to ID
Q : whats the most efficient & easiest way to farm AD and get my gear better? without having to spend zen? the bow i want to complete my set costs like 750k+,ancient trapper's one, pretty sure i got no chances beating CN with how i am now,and parties wouldnt want an HR with em anyway, heck, i've got 14k+ GS and i still get kicked from some ToS parties
already have 3 artifacts, 1 from when i leveled up and 2 from pvp
some GF joined our ToS party while we were at Synd,he was wearing no arms equipment...when asked why, he said that if you aint wearing a piece, that piece will drop in the end
Q : is this correct? and how does loot drop generally? i've run so many T2 dungeons, and i havent seen a single HR piece being dropped by the bosses, makes me wonder why
that's all for now,a vol 2 might be coming up some day soon probably, any help's appreciated
thanks in advance
1: Don't put too much value in your GS - your best bet would be to test out playing with both items and deciding which one serves you best.
2: If you have a high Crit (I'd say high is something like 30% + though some might argue that... but I'd say a 1 hit in 3 being a crit is pretty good), then a vorpal will be very useful for you. Vorpals increase crit severity, NOT crit chance. That means, when you do crit, you crit for much more. If you have a low crit - don't waste resources on vorpal. I happen to like the GPF quite a bit. If you can't afford one, consider Terror as an alternative.
3: no idea... sorry...
4: Join a guild and get guild parties together to help you gear up. You won't have to suffer PUGs (pick up groups, random queues) and you'll make friends along the way.
5: No. he's been misinformed. You've just been unlucky. Get epic DD keys and open the chests - you're much more likely to get what you're looking for that way anyway. If you need help with DDs, see #4

Higher base weapon damage is pretty much always going to be better, and I'm only qualifying that statement because I'm sure somebody could come up with an exception.
Blue items for HRs have inflated stat values over blue items for other classes. Gear score does not necessarily determine performance.
There's an HR section in the class forums where you can find a lot more information, and a very recent thread about weapon enchant choices.
Bronzewood is an overlooked weapon enchantment, but the best use of the effect of it is strongly tied to being able to apply it using direct-damage encounter powers, which only works well for some classes. It might be better for a melee HR. I don't view it as a good choice for a ranged one.
You can only equip one weapon enchantment, but it will apply to all your attacks. Think of all enchants as a buff to your character that just happen to be slotted in a particular piece of equipment.
That GF had some pretty weird ideas, imo. Boss loot is random: random chance a set piece will drop at all, and random chance of 3 sets for each of 6 classes. Odds of it being the thing you want are poor, and if you get an unbound drop, you're usually far better off to sell it (to people with more money than will to run dungeons) and keep doing the dungeon with the chest unlocked until you get your choice of BoP item to equip.
For tips on wealth generation, look up Trace's guide on these forums (in the Gameplay section). Your Drake Seal bow will serve you just fine until you get something better.

I agree with most everything akemnos, kvet, and beckylunatic have shared but I'll throw in my own two cents.
- Higher weapon damage is pretty much always better (especially when we are talking about that much better).
- Both vorpal and PF are very good, but in general vorpal on an HR will be better for pve and PF might possibly for pvp (but I am far from a PvP expert). Go for the one you play more of. My impression of bronzewood is "meh", but I haven't tested one. Mostly, the value of the various weapon enchants is reflected by their comparative prices.
- Not in EU, so can't help with that one. Hopefully someone who can will come along.
- I would agree that Trace's guide is a great resource, but to simplify, most folks are making their AD by farming dungeons and having a small army of alts that have the leadership profession leveled.
As far as getting people not wanting an HR this will happen in que PUGS and LFG groups. Contrary to what most folks in those places may think, I find that a skillfully played HR can be an asset to any group. I have a good friend who mains a 15.5K (IIRC) HR and I have run most of the dungeons in the game with him (including CN & MC) and he is always a strong asset to the team. He is one of my "go to" people when I am forming dungeon groups. So IMO a skillfully played and appropriately geared HR is a very viable team member.
Having said the above, you will have to steer away from the que and LFG to find people who will value your presence. Try getting into a guild that runs the content you wish to run. The legit channel is also a great resource. I met the HR friend I mentioned there.
- The GF was misinformed. Leaving off a piece of gear will not cause that type of piece to drop. In a dungeon as demanding as ToS, if a member was not wearing all their gear I would ask them politely to do so , and if they refused I might kick them, personally. Unless their contribution was strong in spite of them gimping themselves.
Regarding Epic Enchantments (for Armor and Weapon, such as Vorpal and Plaguefire) the Wiki might help you decide which is best for your own play-style and desires because you can compare them all side-by-side. For example: I prefer Vorpal in my weapon and Briartwine in my Armor. But I'm now leaning towards Lightning and Thunderhead respectively.
In the end, it's all about having some fun, right?

- Really depends on how much you crit. If you have a high crit chance that Vorpal is good, if its not that high plaguefire is likely better
- dont know about proxy, sorry
- search for Trace's Ad guide on forums
- first I have heard of this.
