Briggin's Tomb boss gives me fits when I solo my TR in stealth. It appears he can see me anyway and so can his summons. He will turn to hit me, his summons put down AOE and I'm constantly running around to avoid it. I have tried with my Ioun Stone summoned or not, don't seem to matter.
So what gives, can this boss see through my stealth, is it a bug ?
Boss mobs in IWD can see through stealth. I don't know why they needed or wanted to do that though.

One of the patch notes for preview indicated that IWD bosses had been changed to see through stealth, though I *think* it was just intended to be for the heroic encounters.
Not sure if Biggrin is meant to do so or not, but thanks for bringing it up.
I agree that this fight is pretty nightmarish to do solo on a TR, whether you run a full stealth build or not. It's quite difficult to get in melee range and get some decent hits in while the wolf pets spam their AoE and try to chain-prone you and Biggrin does his thing of being a combination of a frost giant (nasty big hits) and a battle wight (AoE self-heal cone and circle). Impossible to Catch can only be up part of the time.
I'd also ask if it's intended for the wolves to spawn at intervals whether you kill them or not. I've seen as many as 6 up at a time, which makes me wonder if the instance is really intended to be grouped if you're not a very well-geared AoE type. A TR basically has to choose between burning down Biggrin, or trying to take out one wolf at a time while more are going to be summoned anyway. Or is this bugged like Idris hulks sometimes are?
I'm also finding that latency has of late meant that even when I think I'm not in the red, I am.
After complaints about the Dread Ring lair bosses being too easy, I can see wanting to make something harder, but aspects of the Biggrin fight seem downright punitive to some classes.

Thanks for the nice response. I just wanted to further comment after you mentioned it about the wolf summons. I also have seen at least 6 wolf summons before I could finally take down the boss, very annoying. Makes me wonder if they would continue to even larger numbers.
I tried with my TR the first time, used a perma loadout and it was pretty hard, had to use lots of pots, but the second time I wen with a much more offensive loadout, no perma and it was easier.
Biggrin can definitely see through Stealth but it's not too tough once you get the hang of it. As a TR we have the ability to go 1 on 1 with Biggrin, and leave the wolves for later. It's only overwhelming when you first fight the boss.
Players can also see stealth TRs, if they use stone companion. It is barely visible, but still visible. I guess for boss "barely" means nothing, so it sees them. Did you ever try without even having stone as companion?

That isn't the point. Player characters have humans controlling them and are as good at spotting TRs as the observation skills of their players dictate.
Monster AI can either see through stealth or it cannot. Monsters do not react to augments... that is part of the point of having them. Some monsters will also randomly spam AoE as a result of taking damage, but they won't focus a stealthed TR like the ones that are not affected by stealth. Lack of purple question marks is also a clue.
And the Biggrin fight is easier if you slot for burst damage and just use stealth tactically, like to ensure your Lashing Blades all crit. Much of my trouble with it seems to stem from the latency issues I mentioned, where I look like I should be safe from being proned but am not.
