Ioun stone of allure and enchantments in items

I see my ap, for example, increase when I equip my stone with an item that has base stat of AP or Power.
Now when I add say a dark enchantment, I see the AP of the pet increase but not my own AP.

So what is the deal, do enchantments in slots of items that the ioun stone apply or not?

    They do apply but not on the fly as you change them. You either have to dismiss/re-summon the companion, or change zones to notice the change on your char's numbers.

    Resummon stone or wait a while so stats buff from stone will refresh by itself.

    I find that upgrading enchants in my own gear doesn't show up on the character sheet immediately either. Re-equipping the item makes that display properly.
