'Fess up! What's the most valuable thing you've ever accidentally discarded?

Sometimes dragging things over from inventory to the wee boxes on a mail message is as challenging as picking a lock in Oblivion... and sometimes the wrong button gets clicked on in the "Do you REALLY want to discard this? REALLY?" popup... usually it's just stuff I'm mailing to my alt... gear my ranger can't use, or things like skill kits and potions. Today, though, in a incredibly laggy instance of PE, I managed to accidentally discard the stack of Aquamarines I've been saving up... around 80 or so of them. :eek:

So, what have YOU inadvertently thrown away?

    I was going to delete a mail, but in the time between me clicking to confirm to delete the empty mail, I got another mail from another sell, and when I clicked on the confirm button, my new mail with the ADs got deleted.

    I lost 200k+ because of that bad designed Mail system.

    I don't know yet, but yesterday I discarded a whole bunch of stuff, so I bet I'll know soon XD

    Lost a couple of epic mounts due to the email system. Is it really hard to just auto-complete your own name when it does the same for other people?

    Oh well, it is a small loss to me

    It autocompletes my name.

    It autocompletes my friend's names but never my own. I have more than 1 account and they all have this problem. I can easily send to my friends and my other accounts, but never autocompleting the name to my own account

    Not discarded, but I've accidentally picked the wrong purple item at the end of a Delve.

    I have lost some random lower quality epic gear when trying to sell it at a vendor for gold. Not realizing the vendor window is not up and double clicking the item and not realizing the "do you want to discard" warning is not the "do you want to sell" window.

    I can't remember which items I lost to the "mail-update during a delete" monster, but I think they were worth about 50,000 AD total.

    I recently lost about 40,000 AD worth of professions resources when I tried to split a stack, and must have missed the target slot, because it did a discard. I didn't notice the different prompt.

    I'm fortunate that my learning-through-error hasn't been too costly.

    I remember auctioning an item in a different game, and putting the buyout in the wrong currency type, selling the item for 90 silver instead of 90 gold. That was costly and infuriating.

    Not so much discarded, but I remember selling 9 keys for the price of 1 once. -shudders- man did that set me back.

    I have the same issue then , it autocompletes names on my friends list and my alt accounts on my friends list but it doesn't autocomplete my own account name .

    Dardove seems to have no problem at this.

    I'm interested to see a consensus on this matter.

    Maybe dardove is on the minority, maybe its 50/50

    About 1 million worth of Rank 5 enchantments, as they were worth more before the enchantment changes.

    300K + AD from that mail system. Also, I blame a lack of strong coffee. I hit 'delete' instead of 'take' and BLAMMO! My butt be broke.

    I am still kicking myself over that one, even though it is not as big a blunder as some of the others here, lol.

    Masquerade is rare as hell now. Ouch.

    It's funny how Masquerade is the "REAL" Gold yet the "Blessed Gold Dye pack" is a poverty yellow with a mix of green.

    Anyways, I haven't deleted anything by accident, and I've been playing since beta. Feels good man.

    Only thing I've deleted by accident in the mail was due to AH winning showing up at the wrong time. I can't remember how much it was but it was a horse pre-Feywild so around 8-12k. A lot for me back then.

    I've never had a problem with the mail system not autocompleting my handle, but I don't bother with it anymore. I just reply to one of my own mails now to save time. Most of my storage mails have labels, but there's an empty unlabled mail sitting at the bottom I can use. I've also got emails from friends saved for the same reason.

    A temporary workaround for the mail system issue is using gateway to delete the selected mail. On gateway, the highlighted mail is always the selected one, and it isn't affected by incoming new mails.

    a mail with 1 pig, 2 fawns and 2 frost mimics

    As mail is the only way to transfer items from 1 toon to the other I generate lots of mails. Having to delete 30+ mails manually one ofter the other I accidentally deleted the wrong one.

    Fortunately just my CW's Damaran Shepherd.

    I'm sad though because I can't replace it. Allegedly other people can reclaim theirs from the claim vendor, but I have no option to do so.

    Poor, poor Weft. I like to think he just got a slight injury that left him with a limp that made him unable to keep up in adventuring with his mistress, and is now happily spoiled rotten as the beloved pet of a little kid in PE.

    Ah, I'm glad I'm not the only one without the option to reclaim the pup, at least for my main HR. (My CW alt does have the ability to reclaim, and I've been trying to figure out why... the answer, I guess, is "Bug?" :confused:)

    Does forgetting to add a new Preservation Ward in a Rank 8 -> 9 enchantment after a failed upgrade count ? ...

    The change to not automatically slotting a new preservation ward were both poor design choices, IMO.

    I lost two dark enchantments one r6 one r7 when doing reinforced bracers. Totally forgot to take them out before crafting and lost them.

    Also ALMOST deleted and destroyed my perfect vorpal trying to move between weapons.
    I also sold lots of great value blue items for the value in gold a while ago :)
